Good morning...Up earlier each day hoping to reset my system so 3:30 on Tuesday will work better (air trip).
Today is Micki's bloodwork checkup and I want to get a plan to shift him to new food because Hills has another big recall of most of the canned kinds, not just the special ones, because their supplier of vitamin D overdosed the additive. betting this is Chinese. That is harmful.
Micki has no effects, but.this has gone in for months... I have no confidence in them. Our lots are not in the list, but it keeps expanding.
Trouble is Micki boards next week and is finicky on eating when he is not home. You cannot just change food without tummy issues usually.

Linda, I hope you can reset your sleep pattern so the 3:30 am wake call is not so brutal. Yeah, a quick food change can be rough on doggie’s digestive system. That is scary about the dog food recalls.
Kathy, I am glad you got to enjoy the great outdoors. I will be watching the news for the partying nonagenarians.
Becky, if you like cream of mushroom soup, peas and noodles with tuna, you’d like tuna casserole. I don’t put much of a spin on it. I use the Campbell's soup recipe and add an herb mix from Penzy. If I am feeling crazy I will put in some green Tabasco sauce after it is cooked and in my bowl only. Did you get your DVD player? I have a portable one in the basement to play my exercise DVDs. We don’t have a TV down there so the portable is perfect.
Karen, how are your feets and muscles doing today? How are the tops of Dale’s feet doing? Give Arya a hug for me.
Liz, how is Zoe treating her tail? How is the wascally Wally doing? I hope you get to leave in time today so you can have some down time. It is still chilly here in the mid 40s but the sun is shining.
The robins and the squirrels in the backyard have been entertaining me this morning while I was in the kitchen preparing lunch and while folding the laundered towels. It is good to see them back. I haven’t seem the chipmunks yet bit I am sure they are around. I managed a 30 minute workout with only a small coughing fit, so there is progress. We will be headed to the ATT store tomorrow to see what kind of deals we can get. Not my favorite way to spend time but necessary. We have to start cutting down the monthly expenses and Specteum takes to big a chunk. We don’t watch that many channels yet we have to pay for over a hundred. They don’t have a basic plan any morein this area and they have started charging 11.99 a month extra for access to network channels. Can you believe that?

Happy Day to all the pups and thanks for the start, Chele. Definitely do all you can to save water. Despite all the floods, climate change is taking its toll on fresh water. Sorry Iggy isn't getting any time off for good behavior this week. Did he enjoy the tournament games or was he too busy working to see much of them? How was your veggie soup and tuna casserole with tomatoes? I think that would be a good taste combination, but I'll bet the tomatoes from Aunt Esther's garden were much better tasting. I have a few aches and pains today but they aren't ones I typically get from Osteo, so I think it's mostly DOMS from earlier in the week. The only exception is my neck and I think I may have overdone it a bit in that region on the Hydro Massage yesterday and I think I will program it differently next week to avoid above the shoulders completely. Dale's feet seem to be healing quickly and he is now able to wear normal shoes with just some discomfort. You seem to be recovering as well. YAY!! Is 30 minutes your typical workout duration? Good luck at the ATT Store tomorrow. I'm not surprised about having to pay extra for local channels. Several times we have temporarily lost local channels due to contract disputes with Dish. No sense paying for channels you don't watch, so long as you can get all the ones you do watch. I guess Iggy's cell # got released so you can do all the cell phone transfers at the same time.
Linda, getting set for the new time zone now is a great plan. Have you done that previously on the trips to Europe, or is that too much of a time zone difference? I hope all goes well with Micki's tests. There are so many pet food recalls during the past couple of years that it's very scary. Is there a way you can tell if it's made in China? What will you switch him to? I hope he likes it, especially since it would be good to have him switched over before you board him, without tummy issues. I had numerous ankle sprains, which is how I ended up in orthotics. I also am an overpronator, so the orthotics curved up around the 5th metatarsal and over time, that seems to have malformed the bone and caused pressure points that resulted in calluses. I suspected the medication in the shot wouldn't limit its effects to just the knee joint. I'm glad it seems to be working already. Enjoy PF Chang's. I haven't seen the menu but I think their food is kind of salty.
I know you're glad it's Friday, Liz. How are things with your pups? I hope you will be able to do something fun this weekend.
Kathy, I am making it through the last few episodes of Doctor 11 but all of a sudden he has a new assistant named Clara and I didn't see an episode where they met. Was it a Christmas episode that perhaps I haven't seen yet? What amazing weather you had yesterday and I hope you have a repeat today. I hope you had a chance to take another walk. Feet are doing fine today, despite winding up with so many steps yesterday. It's incredible that you have such healthy female role models that are still enjoying life to the fullest.
I didn't realize you would need a referral to see an ortho doc, Becky. United Healthcare doesn't require me to see my primary before going to a specialist. 40s aren't bad for the low as long as it warms up quickly. We are still only to 50 so far and I don't think it's supposed to get much warmer. I'm ready to get into the 60s and low 70s and stay there for a while. I'm surprised you haven't had tuna casserole. That was a mainstay when I was growing up and I'll bet we had it every couple of weeks at least, especially this time of year with DM growing up Catholic and we still had no meat on Fridays during Lent. But we usually had fish of some sort, so that was an easy go-to meal.
Almost 7K steps so far today despite not accomplishing much. I did download some new age music to my phone so I can use bluetooth ear buds to listen to music during Hydro Massage sessions. I have peanut butter baked tofu marinating and will put it in the oven shortly, along with some Japanese (purple) sweet potatoes. That will be dinner, along with some black eyed peas, mixed greens, and an apple. We have our wind back again. We had a 25 mph gust not long ago. Arya is trying to nap but every time she closes her eyes, the wind starts up again and she gets freaked out. She has to be getting tired enough that she won't be able to hold her eyes open for long. TN men's 1st round NCAA game is about to start and the women play tomorrow. I have no doubt the men will win, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if the women do.

The time zone is the same. But the flight us 7:20 and so we get picked up for the airport at 4:30! I usually cannot sleep on planes.
Vet likes Hills, but did not like how they handled the problem with the additive and recall. She is reserving judgement. We are switching (when we get back ) to Royal Canin and trying to do half dry because it is better for his teeth and comes in a food designed for schnauzer issues. So he will not be getting new food when he is already stressed boarding, and so far ours is not the bad batch.

Linda, Arya's FM feeds all her dogs Royal Canin Dental for treats and that is the only treat my girl will touch now. I feel safe with their foods because they haven't had a recall in about a dozen years. Hopefully Micki won't react to it but it's good that, since he isn't having any effects from the Hills, that you'll wait until you get back to make changes. I didn't realize your flight was so early, so good luck stockingup on sleep before Tuesday.

Thanks for the start Chele.Tomorrow in Austin they will be having a big dog function that helps out the service dogs. They are going to try to get the most dogs in one photo that there has ever been. One of the local channels has a therapy dog they take to different functions like hospitals and other events.
Linda It's probably a good idea to get your body used to getting up earlier...3:30 is early to get up on Tuesday. That is scary about the dog food recalls.
Chele The tuna casserole sounds good.I use regular Tabasco on just about everything.Kenneth said he doesn't like the green Tabasco b/c it isn't spicy enough.LOL.I did get my DVD player but I won't use it until tomorrow since it came in the mail later this afternoon.I am sure the robins and squirrels are quite entertaining. It sounds like you are feeling better.I hope you get a good deal at the ATT store. When we had Directv I don't think we were charged for local network channels but they had more expensive plans and they would go up in price the 2nd year of the contract. Our Dish satellite gets taken out automatically and it's not quite as expensive but I notice we are also being charged $12 for local network shows. We don't watch a lot of channels but need to keep the plan we are on for the channels Kenneth likes certain shows on.

Karen You said your aches and pains aren't from Osteo but what are DOMS?When we had United Healthcare Medicare Advantage Plan last year although it said on the card no referrals needed I still needed one for an ortho surgeon. We have Humana so I'm sure it's the same way.I found an ortho surgeon in Smithville but I don't know how good they are or how long it would take for the referral. They are affiliated with Seton so I would hope they would be good.I'm not sure I want to go back to the one I used last year in Round Rock. When I was growing up we were Lutheran so we didn't have fish Friday's.I like tuna on top of a veggie salad but I have never had it in a casserole. We had the last of our sirloin steak tonight and split a baked sweet potato.
Linda Our county's animal shelter uses Royal Canin for their dogs and cats.
Waving to Kathy and Liz.
