Audrey how sad. Sometimes we forget how great we have things.
Well, I went for a very quick walk. The real feel said 27 but it felt much colder than that this morning. Miss LuLa wasn't pleased with it either LOL and did her business rather quickly.
Our shopping is done and I just finished a late lunch. Supper tonight is mashed potato, french green beans and chicken. Nice and light and good.
Take care, all!

Bee Happy you are back in the zone.
Audrey I'm so sorry about your friend.I really wish she could get out of that situation.Sending prayers for her.
Ann I wouldn't be happy in that cold weather either.Your dinner sounds good and light. We are having grilled pork chops and mashed cauli.DH grilled the pork chops outside this week and they are so good.
I ended up walking 35 minutes in Walmart and bought the few things we needed.I also drove my car up to the road gate and walked on our country road from there so I wouldn't aggravate my knees any further and got in another 35 min.I am not doing the recumbent bike today.
Have a great rest of the day all.

Audrey, Just continue to be there for your friend and when she's ready hopefully she will reach out to you. I just pray it won't be too late for her. So incredibly sad. Bee, you are rocking the zone Becky, great job getting in two walks with your knee. DO be careful you don't want to over do. Ann, your meal sounds good. I scrambled up some ground turkey and added some spinach. I had it with some hummus on a whole grain wrap and a 4 pt bag of bbq kettle chips. I was just feeling the need for something salty and crunchy. I gave up popcorn for Lent and I miss it ... a little. Pam, the keeping the kitchen clean is a chore that never ends LOL

Dinner is a mashed sweet tater, tblsp hummus, heaping tblsp sun-dried bruschetta, and topped with sauteed spinach. My tongue is doing a dance at all the textures and flavors. Will surely do this again.

Spent several hours this morning doing school related work. For my own class, I finished all the papers, updated and checked all student records, and sent reports to athletic advising department, Re- oraganized my study. Pulled out my WW II notes. Will read them over on Sunday. Still no word if I amneeded as a substitute on Monday. I can refresh my memory regarding statistics MOnday morning if needed.
Will refocus on healthier eating. R's idea for an outing today was to go to an Amish store for ice cream. Blah... Have a nice bowl of all vegetable soup & chickenfor dinner.

Ann LUlu had revelry right to be unhappy! She probably is so ready for the end of the winter! Winter is just not finished w/ us! Although it just spit wet, sleeting snow in my area yesterday, the region about 10-20 miles south was blanketed.
Audrey Hope that you are having fun today.
Bee j MMMMM..... you really come up w/ some interesting dishes. Lovethatyou are in the zone!
Becky You are one smart cookie to drive to the road to spare your knee.p! Hope your new CD player gives you another's exercise option.
Cathy Did you get the part for your crockpot? HOpe so! Myself, I think it is good to learn those things about certain foods and weight. If the extra weight goes away shortly, thenyiu know it is no big deal. Paying attention to situations like that has taught me that 1 cup of pasta or 1-2 small piece of pizza satisfies me. I must balance it w/ something else or I will fall intolerance a food coma!
LaDonna Hope that your hunters can back w/ a bird or two. Our neighbor and his brother took three large birds from the back last year. Really nice size! Salad sounded yummy. I confess though I would have asked themto piytthe fruit & nuts on the side.
Mj Another busy day w/ thegrands for you & Toots. Enjoy them!
Pam Sounds like you have all the weekend chores well inhand and have a blue dot in your future!
Susi OMG!!! I am sooooooooo exited to think of how surprised Carol will be!! YOU ARE THE BEST SISTER!

June, it is time to grocery shop --- been a busy week here, so am late getting to the store. I had the hummus and sweet tater. DGD sent the sun-dried tomato bruschetta. The spinach is always here. Dessert was medjool dates and walnuts.
And I have no one else to feed here but me. That does make a difference.

Bus trip was great but I didn’t drink anything but water and then a cup of coffee at the restaurant. Mountain roads are tough for me. Had 1/2 a bacon turkey avocado sandwich for lunch, a few crispy fries and 1/2 a chocolate cupcake. Watching Michigan State v Minnesota now with a cup of lemon lift tea and fresh fruit. Exhausted. Took home my china from the club and they could not understand why I did not want it to be part of the auction tomorrow.I was a bit upset because they lost part of the foam in bubble wrap packaging my son-in-law had used and people stood around what I was trying to get a quickly in the boxes because my neighbor was waiting for me in the car. They couldn’t understand why I carried it to the car instead of using a cart.I will repackage it and bring it to the Assistance League Monday morning for them to sell and make money to buy clothing for poor children.

Ann Sleep well, my friend.
Bee j You have a creative flair in the kitchen. It's great that you can concoct whatever sounds like it might suit.
Audrey Glad that the bus trip went well. Sigh. . . those in charge seem a little scatterbrained and/or clueless. Hope that you have a better experience w/ the Assistance League.
