Am finding that a high carb evening meal does not see the scale go down...not sure if that is due to the indulgent days that preceded it or if it is true all the time. Pasta is something I should perhaps have for lunch and not for dinner... I think we have errands to run today and might need some groceries...definitely need some cat food.
CHERRY: It sounds like spring is there...or nearly so. I hope you enjoy the warmer days. I am impressed with your ten minute exercise sessions and a total of 30 minutes for the day! May have to try that! I am going to do six laps outside ... did five yesterday...building up slowly hoping my knee won't get as painful as it did last time I overdid it in January.
BEVERLY: It sounds like the soup kitchen is giving you joy and that is great! Watching others devour the food you provide must be wonderful! Let us know how it went! How was your doctor's appointment?
LYNN: I hope you find the perfect gym to join. I remember joining the YWCA long ago and my son and his family usually end up at the YMCA. Let us know what you decide on. Also, many gyms will give you a "trial" period or at least a tour. What kind of place do you think you would like?
PAM: Errands can take up so much time! I am glad you had a good day and were able to spend time with your mother.

Good morning. I don't always get in 30 min. a day of exercise, but I do get in 20 most of the time. As I get more used to doing it, the 30 min. will come more regularly. At least it is a start, and by the end of Lent, I'm hoping it will have become a habit.
Not much going on today. This afternoon I will be going in to town for Mass and I have a prescription to pick up. That's about it, other than what I find to do around the house.
Have a good day, beaches.

Hello dear beaches,
Another nice day here!! We could get used to this real quick.
I got started on cleaning off my back porch yesterday. Amazing how much crap ends up out there in the winter. Anything & everything that we don't know what to do with all winter long, gets put there. Now that spring is here, we have to figure out what to do with it. I have the new cushions on 2 of the chairs & the swing. The swing looks really good, I got bright green cushions for that, ended up with blue stripes for the chairs. Doesn't match, but looks pretty good. I still have to get the floor cleaned (biggest job yet). Maybe before the weather gets too hot, I will have it done.
Off to the soup kitchen today. The theme of the lunch is brunch foods. I have made sausage balls & chocolate cake!! The smell is killing me!! Talk later.
Have a great day all!

Hello all!
I slept a good 9 hours last night ans am finally feeling better. I have a mani planned for noon and not much else.
I will look into gyms in a week or so...when I am totally up to it. They do have free trials in some of them. I am a bit hesitant to go by myself, but we will see.
It is very windy here today and is in the 20's with the wind chill...I think tomorrow we should hit 60...go figure.
Have a wonderful Saturday!

Checking in this sunny day and loving the blue skies. Chilly but cozy inside. Working on getting laundry caught up and the kitchen clean. I hope to find some time to read as well. Have a great day beaches and keep smiling.
