Sunday's goal Prepare some items for what could be a busier than expected week. 1. Cook some steel cut oats for 1-2 breakfasts. 2. Make a vegetable egg casserole, quiche, or scramble. 3. Buy some turkey lunch meat or roast a turkey cutlet for sandwiches. Think about what casserole or roast that I can make & we can eat for two days. Make somehealthy sides.
My brother & SIL are coming to NE OH go a visit. Will try to make time to walk w/ my SIL & visit.

June, have a wonderful time with your brother and SIL. So important to plan for a busy week and just have lots of potential meals even if you don't make all of them. I did not make the caldo verde last week so that will be Monday's dinner with the smoked chicken andouille sausage, kale, chicken broth and potatoes I have. I am going to also make the Skinnytaste shrimp with peas, rice and asparagus that was posted this week, have two simple fish, salad and vegetable dinners and possibly baked skinless chicken thighs with artichoke hearts and I am not sure what else.
Today is a stay at home day. I need to wash bath towels and possibly whites. Then I will reorganize the china to take to the thrift store Monday morning. We are having more rain this week so there is no longer a drought at least for this year. Weather is also gorgeous for walking when there is no rain. Happy Sunday everyone.

First: The weight that found me during indulgent days is gone this morning...hooray for a couple of on program days getting rid of the excess that found me.
Second: I read through the Friday thread to find AUDREY'S Post - Sorry that your friend is being abused - it takes strength and sometimes a friend to get an abused person out of the abusive situation. As for the doctor stalking and harassing...education does not prevent misbehavior. Becky: There are doctors that abuse and kill and do all sorts of things. One of my Wednesday friends has a daughter that stopped dating a "doctor" (psychiatrist) who did not take the dismissal well. He stalked and called her children, talked around town and finally came to her mother's home (where she was living in fear) with a gun and shot her a number of times then ran out and died from self or police inflicted wounds while in their apartment building stairwell. Crazy is crazy no matter what the degree. Glad you had some GOOD in with the bad these last few days.
June: What casserole did you make? We did not go out yesterday at all...so...no pressure cooker gasket yet. I like to do the dry beans in the pressure cooker as it cuts down significantly on time cooking.
Susi: Hope your NYC visit was fun and that your friend was surprised.
Ann: I believe that a lighter dinner is the key AND weighing the pasta before I cook it. Hubby doesn't really love it so if I make enough for me and perhaps use it as garnish rather than fill the plate that will help
gottakeeptryin, Your dinner of salad with chicken in it sounds delicious!
bee, I am mostly "in the zone" and love it when I am!
Pam: KOKO is a great mantra!
If I missed anyone...sorry...
What I am willing to do:
* stay OP today * ddrink plenty of water * cook the zucchini in an OP way (only veg plus some green peppers left in the house) * think positively
Get to talk to children and granddaughters today - looking forward to it.
Made overnight oats with grated carrots for breakfast - yummy!

June - Good for your for getting organized for a possibly busier than expected week. Enjoy the time with your DB and DSIL. Audrey - Sorry the auction didn't go as planned and the others didn't "get it". Enjoy your stay at home day You too Ann Good plan Cathy! Yesterday was an amazing gift. Carol was surprised and delighted. Lunch was at Becco which is owned by Lidia and Joe Bastianich (and formerly Mario Battali). The show was amazing. The story - eh. The music, dancing and costumes? Amazing! The love and friendship? I have known these ladies pretty much since they were born. I babysat all of them. The laughter! Such an uplifting and energizing day! Today is back on track and practical details to get ready for my trip to Las Vegas.

I slept so well Last week but this morning I woke up at two and then at five and got out of bed at 6:15.I have 22 pounds of dark on my legs now on the couch. cathygeha and others thank you for the kind words Susi, what a great evening. Yesterday the 20 ladies are all my friends too. I have known several for 25 or more years. I need to organize my April phone list for luncheon calls in addition to organizing the china and writing some thank you notes. Itβs also time to put out snail bait.

June Great goals.Enjoy the visit with your DB and DSIL.
Audrey Enjoy staying at home today and your walk if you are able to get one in.
Ann Enjoy your stay at home day as well.Definitely just a scale fluctuation.
Cathy Congrats on your loss.Great goals and enjoy talking with your children and grandchildren today.
Susi I'm so glad your sister was pleasantly surprised and that the show was great. When do you leave for Vegas?
MJ Enjoy the orchard garden.
Audrey I was up at 6:15 and that's actually later than usual for me.I wish Scooter weighed 22 lbs.She is 57 lbs of legs and lean muscle and when she lays across my legs it's a load. When she decides to sleep with me on my recliner I make her get on the side. She decided she would camp out last night in the yard on her recliner(an old one that broke).
We have church this morning and after lunch our usual emptying trash and litter boxes.LOL.After that I will try to walk on the road if the knees will cooperate this afternoon. If not I will do a walking DVD.
Have a great day all.

Good-- late---morning
Okey dokey Finished all the reasonable prep for the "wild card" of substituting. Decided what material I will cover on WW 2if substituting on M & T. Decided to do what I like best-- the mobilizing the home front. Reread my class notes on WW 2 mobilization. Am not doing more than that today. I can rehearse more on Mon. morning if needed. Spent time reworking a different version of Jefferson's instruction to Meriwether Lewis. Now I have flexibility for Tues. if I have three classes back-to-back. I can return graded papers and give the class a longer document analysis to complete. I can also switch the assignment from individual worksheets to a group exercise, which would reduce the number of papers I would need to grade. So I am as prepared as I can be without wasting a lot of my time.
My brother & his wife will not arrive until late tonight. So the earliest that I will see them is likely to be Mon. afternoon if I am substituting. At least my prep today should free me to see them after school.
Time to answer personals, sip tea, and decide what lunch & dinner prep to accomplish.

Audrey Your projected dinner sounds like healthy and flavorful. Ha ha ha⦠am also known to plan for a meal one week, but not make it until much later. You will probably be glad to see that china go out the door after all the rigmarole.
Cathy Have been feeling your "zip" and positive energy as you are working the plan. Love it!
Susi Wonderful memory for all of you to hold! Crazy that your Vegas trip is almost here. You will no doubt do what you do so well, balance out the indulgences w/ more activity and following GHGs.
Mj Glad that you & Toots are making time to immerse yourself in beauty & enjoy yourselves. Hope that the WW workshop & sib breakfast both were positive experiences.
Ann Glad that you awoke rested. Yes, the body has all sorts of reason for showing a slightly higher weight. Refreshing that on this thread we all get that. At my WW workshops... I have to remind myself that it takes time to learn this.
Becky If it's a Leslie Sansone DVD-- she lives near me. Lots of people like her workouts. Hope that your knees cooperate and you can enjoy the fresh air.

I found those DVDs boring but know we need something if we can't go outside. You start out slowly and can stop it so that's the beauty of a DVD.
