So I bought chicken shwarma thighs from Trader Joes. It is one large piece of chicken and the package says it is 160 calories/21 g protein for 4 ounces. It was about 1 1/2 pounds uncooked. After cooking it is more like 1 1/4 pounds. Do you think the calorie information is cooked or uncooked?

The information is usually based on the product "as-is", so I'd say raw. Or divide the entire thing into the number of servings it claims to have

Kitty, I **think** that NI labeling is “as packaged” unless “as served” is stated. So I’d go with 4 oz. raw being a serving. 4 oz. of raw Chicken should yield 3 oz. cooked portion.

Yes, that is basically what I ended up doing. I actually weighed the cooked amount as compared to the weight before cooking and adjusted proportionately
