I love the last week of the month because there are no meetings. I am meeting a WW friend for lunch with her 2 year old son at a Mexican restaurant but the menu is extensive so there are several choices for us. Afterward I may drive east of town to look at a new home development owned by a friend for many years. Her father was a builder and she, her sister and her brother own competing but friendly companies. Anyway there is a Smart Energy Design Center which will make me know my home is so dated but it has been a long time since I have been in a model home and she encouraged me. She said her own home not far from mine is also dated I plan to walk the dog, track every bite I eat and drink lots of water. Even my husband has switched to water with almost all of his meals with the exception of morning coffee. Dinner is turkey burger grilled on the Foreman with avocado and red onion, salad, roasted beets and asparagus. I've completed two sessions of meditation with Oprah and Deepak Chopra and they are very relaxing. Peaceful days everyone.

I have the lemon bars ready to go. I had a slip last night but won't let it become a slide.
Today I will: * Focus on healthy choices * Limit portions * Drink water more than wine * Enjoy the day * Record what I eat in my journal when I get home * Reflect on today's choices at the end of today.

Audrey - Great detailed plan. Good job Cathy! Including cab fare, sundries, breakfast, dinner and gambling, I am roughly +/-$5 for the day and have been up over 24 hours. Over 4 hours walking logged. I am now about to drop like a stone.

32* and only heading to the mid-40s today; sunny until this afternoon, then partly-cloudy (but no rain).
DivaTaxi's done its morning run. MHMR is next. Then comes Toots' appt with the cardioDoc for 9:45. This will be with a new-to-him doctor who actually saw him once back in 2013 but then Dr. Kaid took over. Dr. Kaid has ended his tenure with our medical group; he has a private practice plus other commitments 20 miles away. We are going to give Dr. Tanwir a try for Toots' continued monitoring.
Then we MUST go to ShopRite, then come home for lunch and Not Much all afternoon (although we do need to fold laundry, LOL). The Kressling has soccer practice tonight, 6 to 8 PM.
Coffee tastes good... βοΈβοΈβοΈ...
π±πΏβοΈπΏπ±πΏβοΈπΏπ±πΏβοΈπΏπ± Have a healthy-eating day, all! π±πΏβοΈπΏπ±πΏβοΈπΏπ±πΏβοΈπΏπ±

Audrey Nice to have a chNge of pace. Should be interesting to see the new model home. You never know though, Yiu may leave w/ a better appreciation of your home.
Cathy Sounds like a very sensible approach. Have fun!
Susi Whew! That was one whirlwind day/night! Hope that you get recharged quickly.
Mj Wishing Toots good luck at his cardiologist's examination. Maybe this is a day in which you both can relax a little.

Am all caught up w/ the personals that I missed late Monday & Tuesday. Thanks, my friend, for sharing so freely of yourselves. Eachandeveryone of you is inmy thoughts and prayers more than you known even when my days go south.
My colleague returned to work. He DOES NOT sound good. I heard him coughing now and then-- it was wet and sounded like it was in a lower lung. And more disturbing, he was likely 100% unaware that he was wearing two different tennis shoes. I am worried about his physical and mental health. But we are not close though, so It is not like he would welcome or accept my concern. If his "public" office is any indicator, then inside of his "private" house will also show hoarding. I have no idea why his office is not condemned as a fire and health hazhard.

gottakeeptryin Where the Crawdads Sing is the very best book I have read in at least a year. There is so much to it on so many levels, and where you live, you will understand how the marsh plays such an important part of the protagonist's life.

LaDonna, I do not know how the author did it, but her writing reminded me of the tide coming in and going out, and the lapping the water does against anything it touches. I absolutely loved the book!
