diva49, I hope your husband's cardio appt goes well. Good morning. STILL cold---18 degrees and frosty but clear. I bought four tomato plants yesterday. I will baby them until it's time to plant, bringing them out on warmer days and inside at night. They were so beautiful I couldn't resist and they are the variety that grows really well in my container garden on the deck. Later in the season they're hard to find so here's hoping they make it through the next four or five weeks! Wishing all a good day.

I'm in. Good morning all! fullmahina, I love your diehard spirit and optimism. Not many peeps would purchase tomato plants when it's 18 degrees. Keep us posted on their progress. Oooh, now I want a tomato! diva49, hope you both like the new doc and all goes well. Another slow start to the day. I have two appointments on an otherwise typical Hump Day. Grilled chicken and black bean corn salsa for dinner. We're supposed to get some May-like temps over the weekend. If it doesn't rain, it could be a really productive weekend. Have a good day everyone!

I'm in. We spent a frustrating morning at Lowes trying to get the installation set up for a new ceiling fan. It took forever because the salesman had no idea how to do it. <sigh> Finally he found someone to help him & the price was wrong so then we had to wait for a manager to override the system. Hopefully it went through correctly & we actually hear from the installer. Hope everyone has a good day.

diva49 I hope Toots has a good appointment. fullmahina we have 30 tomato plants in the ground, but, hey, this is Fresno. It's 69 and raining today. @doordie I hope your appointments go well DebDoesWW have a great day lavonm sorry you wasted so much time at Lowe's I began coughing at 2:30 so moved to the couch. Got up again at 5:30 and then rested till the alarm went off at 6:15. I am allergic to pollen and spring in general so this is happening annually. DH took the dog on a walk while I started making breakfast. The sky opened with a heavy shower so I had to do a "rescue at sea." I use the term because our good friends were on the Viking Star on the cruise before this last one and someone from Fresno was actually on the Star when it hit high winds and waves and was rescued with a helicopter. Anyway in my bedroom slippers with the burners off in the kitchen I drove to rescue DH and Lily Belle. She thought she was going for a ride and with muddy paws jumped all over the tan interior. After he cleaned her paws at home he cleaned the car while I finished breakfast. I am meeting a WW friend for lunch at a Mexican restaurant. She only eats Kosher meat so I suggested a cheese or vegetable quesadilla she could share with her two year old son. I am having a "good heart tostada" with grilled chicken, boiled beans, lettuce, tomato and salsa and will ask for avocado or guacamole cause I have to have some fun. I had planned to view a new model home development that is energy saving as a girlfriend's company built it. It is a 30 minute drive each way from home so I may postpone it if the rain continues. Dinner is smoked salt and pepper turkey burgers with caramelized red onion and red pepper topped with avocado, roasted golden beets and asparagus and a small salad. Happy Wednesday

Oh, I am so late! I'm IN!! I had a very busy morning. First, the tree trimmers came to clean up our 6 large oaks at 8 a.m. Yikes, they trimmed out so much but the man assures me this will encourage new growth and will improve them. We'll see! I went to my weekly WW meeting to check in (so I can get more wins but have found nothing to buy!) I only stayed 5 minutes at the meeting and was dismayed to see less than 12 people there with a sub coach. We usually have 30-40 people there which bothers me a lot. This does not bode well for the future of WW. Anyway, I left there and went and got my hair cut and colored. I'm back to being a brunette....no gray hairs for me! After this I ran a few errands and came home to pack a suitcase. We're going to Ft. Worth for the weekend. We'll see my sister and her family and it will be fun to catch up with them. I'm hoping to make good food choices but it will be hard since we will eat at Cattlemen's steakhouse and Cooper's BBQ. Oh my! Happy Hump Day. jamescat1, your menus always sound so good. Thank you for sharing! Weather is perfect here but we're looking at another cool-off next week. Spring is still being sneaky about coming.
