Chele, thanks for the start. I heard from DM Tuesday night and it sounded like they're having fun. They're renting a house in the Garden District and were planning on going on a city tour of NO yesterday. They're hitting the road again today for the return trip. I'm sure there will be lots of stories when they get back. Glad you had a nice day there yesterday.
Karen, The Husbands of River Song is probably my favorite Capaldi episode. "Almost likeable" is a good way to put it! It rained off and on most of the day yesterday and was extremely windy. They had some large hail on the coast, but I don't think we got anything that big here. It didn't get out of the 60s, so it wasn't too much warmer than where you are. It's sunny today, but very windy. That makes sense that it was the heating pad that caused your rash. Hope it clears up quickly.
Linda, nice pictures! Glad you're having some good weather and sounds like a lot of fun.
Becky, I never heard of a pink bluebonnet either. I remember all the wild flowers along the roads when I lived in TX. It was really pretty this time of year.
Liz, hope the audit went well.

Almost good afternoon chicks and thanks for the start Chele. Chele - we are supposed to hit low 50s today and tomorrow have a warm up to around 60. They put the heat on which is good but now I have the fan on as we're too warm. Auditors were still asking questions but I had answers so we will see what the final report has to say. Glad that the allergies aren't too bad and that Iggy has had no complaints. Kathy - nice to hear thet DM and company are having a good time in NO. I think I read they would be on their way back today or tomorrow? Sunny and chilly here today; it was 27 this morning when I left the house and I had frost on the windshield. Didn't get home until after 8:pm again last night. Just having a bit of a case of the blues and trying not to let them become the purples . Karen - Yikes on the heating pad rash and feeling woozy from the Benedryl; for whatever reason it really has never made me wonky. How are the "feets" doing today? Did you get your mushrooms completed? Saw the physiatrist yesterday; news wasn't what I wanted to hear but can't change what is necessarily. He gave me a script for PT 2-3 times a week for 6 weeks, a script for the rheumatology blood work which was a boon so that way we can rule it out or in and make the doctor's appointment accordingly. He's of the opinion after all is said and done that it will just be a matter of time as to me having to have joint replacement. We both agree the other hip needs to be done first and then I'll go from there. I have a venus stasis spot on my left ankle which means a trip to the vascular doc and stronger compression stockings. How did Arya and Dale's walk go? Seems like they have been bonding better. Linda - picture was lovely and looks like you kids are having a good time. Nice to see the sun out even if a bit windy. Becky - how are the knees doing? Have you had some good weather to do some lite walking in? How are the fur babies? Going to scoot now; I have a meeting in 45 minutes and I need to try to improve my frame of mind before that. Have a safe and nice day dear ladies! Ciao for now~

Thanks for the start Chele.
Kathy I'm glad your DM sounded like they were having fun.I hope they have a safe trip home.Everyone seems to be getting our rain except us.LOL.Hopefully we will get a little on Sunday.People keep sending in pictures of the bluebonnets into the Austin news stations. They are very pretty.
Liz One extreme to another with temps in the office.I'm sure 60 will feel like a heat wave to you.I hope you don't have rheumatoid arthritis.I have heard the flareups are really painful. My knees are still hurting but not constantly so it's just something to push through.I know I will need a knee replacement at some time but so far no surgeon has suggested it.We have had nice weather but yesterday I didn't walk because we had gone to HEB and Walmart.I pushed through two sessions of the recumbent bike for 30 min each instead yesterday. One more day of work. It's almost Fri-YAY.
Enjoy the afternoon ladies.

Thanks for the start, Chele. What was on your agenda for today? How is Iggy's first week not in the NCAA going? Has your weather warmed a bit?
Kathy, I'm glad the traverlers are having a great time. I agree that there will be stories. The Husbands of River Song is also my favorite Capaldi so far. Of course, I've only seen 3. I've always been a fan of Alex Kingston, so she makes any episode she's in IMO. Did you hear the Lady Vols basketball coach was fired yesterday? I hate it for her because she has spent most of her adult life with that program and also went to HS locally and had her jersey retired as a point guard for UT. She's 60, so I wonder if she will retire or find another coaching gig. Maybe she can become a motivational speaker. The rash seems to be improving and it just about had to be the heating pad that caused it. It's not itching as much so that's a positive.
I also have never seen a pink bluebonnet, Becky. It's almost a contraditction in terms. All the berries were on sale at Publix today, so I decided I wanted strawberries in addition to the blackberries and blueberries I got at Aldi on Tuesday. I hope you have good berries at HEB this week. You probably got enough walking done without going out on the road today.
Liz, great to see you checking in a couple of times so far this week. Adorable new avatar and, yes, it's in the air here as well, along with pollen. That's apparently what has been causing my itchy, watery eyes. I hope your weather starts warming up soon. We were in the low 60s so I had the windows open on the way back from Knoxville. Feets aren't doing bad today but when I was on the leg press machine at Osteo, my left leg was not as strong as my right and that was causing some imbalance. I got my mushrooms cooked up and ready to eat. I'll have some of them for dinner tonight. Please don't let those blues turn to purple. I wish you could find something to take your mind off all the crap you have to deal with day in and day out. Maybe the PT will allow you to focus more on you. How far is it from your office? So you will be the bionic woman with 2 new hips. Will the surgery be later this year? The blood work is a very good idea. When I get a new primary, I plan to have a lot more bloodwork run, even if I have to pay for it. I need things like a D level, EFA profile, and calcium at least. Arya and Dale tend to do well on walks. She knows that she has more fun walking with him than me, especially since the 1st surgery. She apparently spent part of last night sleeping on top of him. Sometimes she still gets weird though.
Glad you're having such a good time, Linda. How's Micki doing today? What kind of German modern food did you have for dinner last night? Does "modern" mean post-WWII?
Osteo went better this week than last but I'm still not as close to my previous high levels as I would like to be. I just have to be patient but that's not easy. I didn't let the Hydro Massage touch my neck today, so I shouldn't have any problems like I did last week. I got the grocery shopping done and got the taxes overnighted to our accountant. Baseball season starts today and my Giants just took the first pitch. I hope we have a decent year. We deserve one of our sports teams to make a decent run. We haven't had that since the Giants won the World Series in 2014. We're due.

Linda, you look great in that photo with the statues. I love a good mountain view. I hope you got your energy back for another day of fun. How is Bob holding up? How is Micki doing?
Becky, I sure would like to see a pink bluebonnet. I don’t blame Scooter for wanting to get out of the hot sun. Iggy likes a cherry tomato, cucumber and onion salad. I am glad you got your appointment.
Karen, neither of us won the PB. :-( have the effects of the Benadryl worn off? It always made me jittery like I had had too much caffeine. How was Osteo and massage?
Liz, I hope you were able to survive your meeting without increasing your blues. I don’t blame you for being down. I hate to hear you have to have another hip replacement but hopefully that will ease the pain. Are they going to replace the knee too? You are going to be the Bionic Woman. I agree with Becky in hoping you don’t have rheumatoid arthritis. Take care of your mental health as well as physical.
Kathy, I am happy your DM and aunts are enjoying themselves. I hope you and DS enjoy the stories.
It is warmer today-up to 67°. It rained for a little while this morning exactly when I was getting out of the car to go into Wally World. I needed some things I couldn’t find at Sam’s Club. I am making Cincinnati chili for Iggy at his request. He left the house in a suit and tie because it was school photo day. I bet he can’t wait to come home and get changed.

Chele, I think we cross posted. The Benadryl has mostly worn off and Dale says the rash is about 75% improved. Nyquil affects me like Benadryl affects you. Osteo went OK but I have a bit of a road back to where I was before surgery. Your weather sounds like ours. We're sitting at 69 right now. I rarely feel brave enough to go to Wally World here. It's always a zoo regardless of time of day. I hope Iggy likes his chili. Yours is probably better than Skyline or Gold Star anyway. LOL on school photo day.

Karen That's what I thought about the pink bluebonnet. While it was nice because it is so rare I like the regular bluebonnets. This morning on the early news they showed a double bluebonnet a viewer had sent in.I'm glad you found berries were on sale. They are hardly ever on sale this time of year in HEB.Raspberries are never on sale and in season blackberries will be under $1 for a 6 oz carton. We didn't go shopping today. We went yesterday which is why I didn't walk.I did two rounds of 20 min on the recumbent bike and walked on the road for 40 min and now my knee is hurting. It seems more from the walk than anything else.
Chele I noticed someone from Wisconsin won the PB.It's a shame it wasn't you or Karen.I bet 67 felt like a heatwave to you.We still got up to 82 and probably tomorrow too but Sunday it may only get up to 59 which will feel cold to us.What is in Cincinnati chili?
Linda It looks like you are having a fun time.

Ouch, Liz. I sure do hope no RA. My mother had it all over her body. Tough disease.
My brain is really tired...not much sleep last night. I snored and he woke me, he snores and it kept me awake... overdid yesterday and ached...interestingly everywhere except knees. So I read these posts all one paragraph of small print and it goes right out of my head! Can't really respond. tonight knees hurt as the aquarium had lots of ups and downs and the restaurant we like is upstairs two flights with no elevator...odd in our time. But I made it. It was a great dinner.
