Happy Last March Fri-YAY.
Apparently, Safari finds this site not secure since he last IOS update. I have IE10 on another device so I will be using that but it is not as convenient as the tablet.
Linda, I hope you got a good night's sleep. If you are using your phone I find it hard to read the posts on that as well. Nice shot at the aquarium.
Becky, Cincinnati chili has additional spices to the regular chili powder and cumin. There is also cinnamon, allspice, and cloves. Some people even add an oz of unsweetened chocolate. I don't do the chocolate. It is usually made without beans because we have what is called chili 3 way, 4 way or 5 way. You get spaghetti with chili on top and then you can add beans, chopped onions, and/or shredded cheddar cheese.
Waving to the rest of the gang.
Well, I just thought I would pop in quickly as I woke up with headache and full blown allergy symptoms. Ahchoo. Drip. Cough. Itchy, burning eyes. Fortunately, we are expecting rain and I hope that clears some of the tree pollen. I am going to do the bills before it all gets away from me. Fortunately, there is enough leftover chili and spaghetti that I don't have to cook.

Chele I'm sorry about the headache and hope it goes away. The chili sounds good and I wouldn't use the chocolate either.BTW Debdoesww answered your question after she looked it up on the website thread you started. It's been like that for awhile for Chrome. As long as you don't enter any sensitive info you should be fine.
I'm down 1.4 for the week so I'm just looking to maintain in my happy zone now.
HEB and Walmart on tap this morning.BBL.

safari on my old laptop and our old desktop does that and can no longer update. I found that Chrome works.
We both slept last night. I had to take allergy meds. Tree pollen up here is very high. on the plus side cherry trees are coming into bloom for the annual festival soon. But we leave around noon tomorrow.
Heading to art museum this morning.

Thanks for the info, Becky. I knew I would get a quick response. Congrats on the loss. I guess the change to MFP only really helped.
Linda, enjoy the art museum and have a safe trip home.
I got the bills done once the banking site fixed the bill paying section. Oy. Technology. You get used to it and then it poops out on you. The headache is down to a dull roar. I broke down and took an allergy pill and some Excedrin. I don't feel great but am feeling better.

Chele, this month sure has flown by. I have the "not secure" message in Chrome on my Pixelbook, but I see you got an answer that it's not anything to worry about unless you're typing in passwords or something sensitive. Interesting on the Cincinnati chili and I can see that my dad used some of those ideas for his chili recipe. He always used cloves and other spices in addition to chili powder and cumin and while he did put the beans in the chili, he always had chopped onions and shredded cheese for toppings. Now I'm hungry for chili, lol. Glad you're feeling a bit better. Those allergies are really getting to all of us.
Becky, congrats on the loss!
Linda, have fun at the museum and safe travels home.
Waving to Karen and Liz.

Chele, it's odd that Safari no longer trusts us. I hope the info you received on your question resolved the issue. I'm set up in Chrome on both the laptop and phone and no problems. I hate posting on the phone because my fat little fingers don't do well on the virtual keyboard. I assume you didn't eat the Cincinnati chili. It would be pretty easy to replace the meat with beans though. Glad the head is improving. I hope the rain will knock down the pollen for you. It looks like the storm is diving north of us, so it's all yours. We may get some tomorrow night and early Sunday from another front that is just forming.
Congrats on the loss, Becky. I guess MFP is working for you. I hope it will continue. Did you find good berries at HEB? Amazing that they are never on sale. Publix had strawberries 2 for $6 yesterday.
Kathy, I saw that 2 of the coaches on the "short list" (15 doesn't seem very short to me) are from your world. One is the women's coach at UCF and the other is FSU's coach. I guess you saw that the TN men lost in OT last night. Basketball season is officially over now. Did the NOLA bunch get back ok? Any plans for the weekend? What OS are you running on your Pixelbook? I have a secure connection on my laptop and I'm running Windows 7. Odd....Is it chili kind of weather for you today?
You were up bright and early, Linda. Great photo from the aquarium! Sorry your allergies are affecting you up north. Enjoy the art museum. I don't think I realized you were heading back so soon. Safe travels!
I did some laundry this morning and had to make salad dressing because I ran out last night. It amazes me how many oil free recipes are on the web. I found one that had tamari, rice vinegar, water, garlic, and ginger, and made it this morning. No oil and no sweeteners. It smells wonderful and I can't wait to try it on greens for dinner. But first, I have a late afternoon meeting for the craft fair committee. Why we are having a 3:30 meeting on a Friday afternoon, I have no idea. I will get gas on the way so I will have a full tank to go to Asheville on Monday to get the car serviced and have lunch with some of my NC friends. I'm also planning to stop at a Whole Foods about a mile from the dealership, so I won't have to go to Earth Fare, which is in a place that makes it really difficult to get back onto the interstate safely because it requires crossing 5 lanes of briskly moving traffic in about 300 yards. Major death trap, but it's one of those places that there is no easy fix to make it safer.
Waving to Liz. Hope you get out of the office early today.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele I'm glad you are feeling some better.I don't think it's just the change to MFP b/c I haven't done it a whole week.I have noticed I will lose on the weeks I walk a lot but that won't keep up and I'm as low as I want to be now.
Kathy Thanks for the compliment.I'm hungry for chili now too.I hope your weather is more seasonal today.
Karen It's odd your Chrome doesn't have the not secure because mine has had it for a long time. One of my groups moved to Facebook because we all started getting spam emails from one of our members that she never sent and it used the screen name she only used on here which is really strange.I seldom buy strawberries but HEB rarely puts raspberries on sale and blackberries only in season.I bought 3 containers of each today and that cost a small fortune but I wanted enough for the weekend. Can you not have oil in your dressings?I use extra virgin olive oil because there are no carbs and no sodium like the rest of the prepared dressings.I don't make my own dressing.
I'm not eating any different foods while tracking on MFP.I've just been double tracking and I may go back and forth between calorie and points. To me since I eat the same foods mostly points are easier to track for me.I don't want to lose any more weight so I may just do maintenance on whatever plan I decide on.It was an experiment.

Karen, no, you can't have our coaches! I would think the SEC would be a step up for the UCF coach, but not sure if that would be a good move for the FSU coach. I watched FSU lose last night and then switched over to see TN lose in OT. Not a good basketball night and I'm pretty much done too. I might watch the final if Michigan State makes it in. The Pixelbook runs Chrome OS and it just updated today, so I know I have the latest. I think the "not secure" message is just telling you that it's an http link and not https. If you're back on Windows 7, they might not have done an update for that. It's in the upper 70s, so not really chili weather. Sometimes I get in the mood for it anyway, but I'm not planning on making any right now. Becky, it almost made it to 80 today, but the breeze is still nice. I started tracking on MFP a few days ago, but haven't been consistent with it. I mainly wanted to check if my calories and other nutrition categories were okay since I feel like I lost touch with that with Freestyle. I may just track in MFP for awhile and see how it goes. The free foods are a pain to enter though since I'm used to not tracking them. Liz, hope you're home and relaxing by now.

well, most of the Aquarium is outside with big, real world areas for animals. Vancouver never gets snow, but this year they did, and the African penguins came out, put one toe into it and went back inside! They have a heated home not being from Canada.
Nice visiting French exhibit 1850 to 1950 today. Good walk to museum and back with a bookstore for DH. Old. Vancouver this afternoon. One more walk...about six minutes to Joe Fortes Seafood for dinner. We are walked out! Off to airport at nine tomorrow morning.
Buildings have a lot of glass and refkection here...tall buildings like NYC,

Becky, my thread comes up secure on Chrome. Kathy said hers didn't on her Pixelbook. The way of eating I am doing has no added oils of any kind. I get most of my fats from nuts plus the little bit in other foods. Berries would be a small fortune when not on sale. I'm lucky that I can usually get some at Aldi and they are a lot cheaper. Blackberries regular price this week were $1.99 for a 6 oz container. I would say MFP would be as easy as anything to do for maintenance.
I am hoping, Kathy, that the Lady Vols will choose the head coach at Missouri State who was point guard for TN for 3 of its national championships in the mid to late 90s. Dale and I always said she was like having a coach on the floor because she seemed to have an amazing way of seeing the court. The SEC would be a definite change for the UCF coach, as the SEC can be kind of cutthroat at times. I have an https on my URL for this site, so you may be right about Win 7 not being updated. I think they are going to stop supporting it rather soon. 70s is definitely not chili weather. But, given where you live, if you ate according to the warmness of the weather, you wouldn't eat anything but cold foods most of the time. What you noted about MFP and the nutritional statistics is why I have stayed with it for so long (2,650 days and counting).
Linda, I'm surprised those penguins even ventured out when it was cold enough to snow. Did Bob get any books or was he just browsing? At least your flight is a little later than what you left on and the hotel should have a shuttle. Will your neighbor come pick up up or will you be able to get a shuttle or cab? When will you pick up Micki?
I didn't get home from my 3:30 meeting until 6:30. I was starving when I hit the door and inhaled my dinner. We had 2 new people on the committee so the chair felt it necessary to rehash the entire craft show from last year to catch them up. At least the next meeting is 1pm, so I should get home before dinnertime, if I go. It looks like Monday is the only day that week that I don't have something on the calendar, so I may not go to the meeting. The longer I'm retired, the more I like my days at home.

Karen I have Windows 10 and maybe that's why it comes up as not secure. They explained it's because like Kathy said it's not a https address and as long as you don't post passwords or do anything on a credit card it doesn't have to be a https address.I am like Kathy in the tracking of 0 point foods though. It is a pain.I eat almonds but I like my evoo on my salads.I think blackberries and raspberries just had 10 cents difference in them this week at $2.49.Walmart's is even more expensive and I never buy produce there except sometimes when they have nice looking strawberries.

He got a couple books and I got one. He tried oysters tonight and liked them, east coast better than BC ones. I confirmed that I do not.
Packed and get breakfast tomorrow, not needing to leave until nine. It is a three hour direct flight going through American passport control here before the flight. Friend says they do that in Ireland too. So we het in around three, grab our stuff, jump in a short cab ride and after I turn on the water and AC , pop into the car for two miles to liberate Micki...assuming all flight aspects go well, knock on wood.
Got a nice thank you card and will get a bottle of champagne for the neighbor...hopping out of bed at 4:15 out of a sound sleep thinking the phone is a family emergency, then driving to an airport. ....above and beyond!
