Happy Day All!
Lin - sorry to hear you're hurting all over, but hoping the journey is worth it. You are so active it almost makes me hurt! Enjoy yourself, please.
Phyl - praying the treatments solve the problem so you don't have to wear a belt.
PeggySue - a new A/C! You'll be chillin' along with the best of them! Is so VERY necessary where you live.
Mar - I know will be good to have the condo project behind both you and DD. All that and them staying with you has been fun at times, but also very disruptive to you life. I can verify that can become old!
BettyJ - sounds like you anticipated a relaxing day yesterday. Feeling better?
Connie - so very glad you're better.
Dayle - hope you had a wonderful day yesterday. Can't believe it wasn't an arm and leg to have the trees cut down! Oh - the donkeys are miniature ones - their back come about to my waist. As soon as I get some pictures posted somewhere, I'll post them here. Was going to put one as my profile picture, but it's too big and didn't take the time to cut it down.
Had a great day yesterday. Insurance, contractors, any problems of anyone were forbidden subjects all day. Went to Costco, the wine store, Hamricks and Applebees. Even shared a dessert! Was fun.
Today is back to the grind. I have to research my tax withholding choice on my annuity, talk to both the adjuster and the contractor ā the latter I dread ā talk to Express Scripts about DHās Losartan because some is being recalled, and so forth. Oh ā I also have to go to the post office and am going to made that an excuse to go see Lucy and Rosie, the donkeys!
Canāt remember who is was talked about the back of their head itching, but mine has been, too. Wonder what thatās all about?
Gotta go - Charlie has run off and I'm the best whistler in the house. Don't know what's going on with his collar lately. May need a new one.
Enjoy your day, everyone!
Cheers!

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Cloudy day and currently 50; the high will be 63.
Today is a half day for DD and the boys. I'm going to be watching the boys tonight as DD and hubby are going into PA for the Kiss concert. He bought the tickets as a Christmas gift thinking DD would like to remember her youth when she saw them as a kid in MSG. Tomorrow is opening day for soccer for the boys so I will be sleeping over to attend the game.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, Those little mini donkeys are so cute. Them an the little goats.š I also got a letter that my Losartan was recalled. Pharmacy just took the letter and refilled it. They never did say if mine was one of the ones possibly contaminated. My doctor said they probably used the same supply. We have no way of knowing.
Have laundry today and sweeping up all the leaves that Ozzie drags in. Our lawn guy never did a fall cleanup so the yard is full of dried leaves. Plus, rehab this afternoon.
Lin, hope you're having a good vacation.

I am feeling better. Heading to art museum this morning.
Betty, a lot of losartan and valsartan brands have been recalled over the last six months ...something made in China. I keep an eye out for ours.

Good morning everyone
Well...DD and I went to the condo last night. I discovered the shower head pipe is loose. Somehow it released from the stud fastening. Probably when he replaced the turn on valve. This pipe can eventually break with the repeated vibration of water going through it. Also he threw away her vertical blinds in bedroom and the one broken slat in living room before taking a slat out to use as a repair for the one in the living room. She did not want the vertical blinds in bedroom anymore but needed the one in living room fixed with parts from bedroom one. Both of these are huge issues.
DD texted contractor last night and he did not respond. I told DD the importance of the shower issue and not to use a foam filler because itās a quick fix and wonāt last. Now I need to just let it go and leave it up to her. If he does not attempt to fix it right she needs to get a second opinion from another plumber the contractor does not know.

We have dry wood termites. Inspection was yesterday. House needs to be tented and lots of fascia boards replaced. This sucks. Now I want to not have backyard pruned because itās harder for anyone to break into house with bushes high. Tented homes sometimes get robbed. Only good thing about it is that the carpet beetle issue will be over in guest room. We have not seen any since we sprayed bug spray but might still be in there.
Roofer called yesterday wanting to do roof next week. Had to tell him he cannot until after the tenting of the house and repairs are finished.
My back scalp is still red and itchy. Took a Benadryl last night and it helped. Going today to buy a mild shampoo by Eucerin. My doctor canāt see me until May2. Going to find a dermatologist that can see me sooner.
Pretty cranky right now. Lack of sleep.

Morning All!
Ok, I want at least two, no maybe three of those cuties! No wonder they are mood elevators for you Penny! How wonderful to have new playmates like that. Penny as far as the trees go, it was expensive, but about $500 less than I imagined in my head, so I was happy. Iāve known the ātree guyā for a long time, so I guess he cut out the āAlpine, NJā pricing. The average price for a house in this town is about $2.5 million (low end), so all the repair people think they can charge accordingly. I live in what I call the slum side of town. To put that in perspective, the house I live in cost $115,000 40 years agoā¦ā¦ Iām just a little cog in a town filled with very big wheelsā¦ā¦
Seems the whole world is on Losartan. Checked mine off the recall list and all is well. It gets tricky cause there are companies that just do the packaging and are not the pharmaceutical company.
Peggy Sue glad the A/C went in well. Did you need to get the whole thing (inside and out) or did you just have to replace the condenser thingy outside? Iāve done both and in addition, had new duct work installed to replace the old. Believe it or not that made the biggest difference in the whole system. Whatever ā enjoy your new cool!
Phyl hope your back starts to feel better soon. Those braces are not any fun, so I hope they can work out the kinks and you wonāt have to wear one.
Lin loved the sea lion picture. They are one of my favorites! Was it mostly out door or did they have indoor exhibits? I would imagine during the winter they would have to move everyone inside. Gets pretty cold up there. One of āgoalsā is to be strong enough to walk around the Bronx zoo which has added some really fabulous marine exhibits since I was their last. Iāve got to lose a pretty good amount of weight to be able to walk the distanceā¦ Glad the knee shots are working. Sorry the rest of the joints didnāt behaveā¦ā¦
Emily have a great time with the boys tonight. Sounds like a lot of fun.
For my birthday dinner I used the gift card my brother gave me and ordered from the new Lobster shack down the street. To give you a sense of how much things cost here, I ordered a cup of NE clam chowder, an appetizer of clam strips and a double lobster roll. The bill was $69. I still have the soup to have for lunch, and I ate just the clam strips (they were delicious) ā so the lobster roll will be for tonightās dinner. I can remember stopping at Lobster shacks on Cape Cod, and that whole deal would have cost less than $25. The good news is that I had the gift card my brother gave me and it hardly cost me anything. I stopped at DQ yesterday morning and bought myself a mini birthday cake which the princess and I shared last night. Thereās more of that left in the freezer too, so we are having a double birthday celebration tonight as well.
Marilyn sorry about the termites and having to endure the tenting process. Good news, should kill all of your bug issues and you wonāt have to worry about the guest room.
I finished the andirons for my mini fireplace and they turned out really great. I hesitate posting pictures, because then all of FB thinks they have to compliment me. It just feels strange. Iāll save them up for when I make another extravaganza.
Hope everyone enjoys their day!
Dayle

I am up and about but dont' feel like grocery store shopping just yet. It is raining although more a light sprinkle. My friend said snow in forecast for Sunday. Well she is quite a bit north east of me so will not worry about that at all. I had a little note on my mail yesterday that my mail man is moving to a new route. Know he was wanting one where he didn't have to walk more than half of the route. I am a bit bummed, he was a good mail man and so personable. He said he appreciated my kindness. I put a good luck note out for him this morning and told him his new people would not be as nice as us ( with a smiley face) and we would miss him. If we get the young woman who was our sub I will be a happy camper though.
the dinner sounds really good that you ordered from Lobster Shack. Our sea food here is expensive and not that great so my mouth was watering.
Not sure what the day will bring but do need to text my DGD as she was talking bout coming in to visit this weekend but I dont' want to give this stuff to Emma. Not sure if I am still contagious but don't want to take that change with the head still full. Later on next month we want to take Emma to the local hardware store as she fills it up with little animals for the kids to see. last year even a baby llama. it all started a long time ago with what they called a peep show in the window. She would cover the window with cardboard and small areas for the kids to "Peep' through and see all the baby chicks and bunnies. She still does that but it has extended to the inside. I don't want to miss that because I gave Emma a cold!!!
I am shopping a bit online for some Easter things for Emma but if I start to feel more energy want to head to Penney's to look for some things for her. She is growing so fast. Right out of all her clothes in now time.
Mar, I think it has come down to just enjoying your time with DD and not worrying about her Condo. Sorry you have to have your house Tented. Can you notify the local police dept so they can make some extra runs your way. I would think people would be afraid to do that with the chemicals they use with the house tenting. We don't have that done around here but have seen it other places. Maybe that will help with your issues of bug bites?? Almost wish they could do that to a whole yard when we have stink bugs!! But exterminator are clue less what to do with these "new bugs" . They do no damage just annoyance.

Hello again
Got full termite report. A few rafter Tails in entry need replacing and a barge piece along with fascia boards. Goodness. I know they make aluminum but we are keeping the wood. The wood they are replacing is 33 years old. We got a good discount because DD works for the company with the bed bug division. Poor old house. Our only issue with termites was 15 years ago and we had it tented.
Dayle- your birthday dinner was great.
Penny- now I want a donkey. Lol
phyl- Hopefully you will not need a back brace. Termites are not in the walls.
