TOOT, TOOOOT! CHUG, CHUG, CHUG! Here comes the Train to Thinsville down the track and into your station, so hop on board and enjoy the ride.
Today it is cloudy and 21* going up to 42* with plentiful sunshine and winds will be WSW 10-15 mph.
I'm not sure what the plans are for today. MJ has been doing a lot of coughing this morning and she may just want to stay home and rest.
As far as I know there are no special plans for today so we'll just wait and see what comes up.
MJ returned the books to the library yesterday and she came home with another stack to choose from. I started reading Smarty Bones, a Sarah Booth Delaney mystery. This one starts right out interesting. Professor Olive Twist has come to Zinnia, MS, to study a mysterious grave wherein lies the Lady in Red, an anonymous but perfectly preserved and stunningly beautiful body. She claims she can not only identify the corpse, she can also prove the womans scandalous role in the nation's history. Olive takes it a step too far when she starts connecting elite Zinnia families with the same scandal.

Good morning!
Today is cold and windy, so we'll probably be in for the day. We're both tired after our trip to Norman and back yesterday. We did go out to breakfast this morning. We wanted to make a normal start to our Saturday. DDIL should be bringing DGD3 by to get her gi before taking her to karate this morning, but we'll see if that happens. Testing is next week, so... Just something else we cannot control. I put in a grocery order this morning, and we'll pick it up Monday. Monday, we'll also have the electrician here to do some work for us. So that could be a busy day, since DH has an early doctor appointment also. I hope Hannah's last few weeks of school are happy ones for her. I know she will have to decide about school next year, but she is lucky to have a choice. Our DGS1 will be graduating from university in May, and he is trying to decide what is next. There are too many possibilities! DGD1 is thinking ahead to her summer plans, and the fact that she will be in her third year of college next fall. She said to tell Hannah to try for a private room. Anne's life has been much happier since she has lived alone. Be happy! Diane

Diane,
It sounds like you have a good plan to try and take it easy and get caught up after your trip to Norman for the spelling bee. You have a busy few days coming up too.
Hannah has decided after a weekend visit at the college that she wants to live at home. She helps us with a lot of things and wants to keep doing that. The divorce is final but we don't know if King will do what he has been ordered to do or not.

Nothing wrong with staying home and going to college. My DGSs Girlfriend stayed home as she helped at the beef cattle farm with her Dad and Grandpa and she loved it. She would have been driving back and forth anyway to still help out and thought that was a dumb idea, when she really just wanted to be there at home. Her class hours were easier to deal with than the farm hours. She is now working on her Masters degree on line and though she is living with my DGS now and they have given up raising beef cattle, she still helps out as her Dad is very sick and her DGPa passed away while she was going to college she is so glad she did help them out when they were able to keep up the farm. She is a worker and like Hannah, always there when any of us need her. while I was sick she offered to come and do my laundry and clean house but told her she didnt' need to get what I had.
It is sprinkling here again today but soccer games still scheduled. Not fun sitting on lawn chair under umbrella watching kids playing soccer but did it for many years. I actually thought it was fun. But glad I don't have to go today!!!
I was going to grocery store but I am still a bit light headed and though it isn't far don't want to drive. also the trip to beauty shop is more important and Monday and want to make it there. My bangs are hanging in my eyes. And will NOT get out the scissors to them like I have before. Will be patient and wait for her.
Had to reboot my computer this morning, not sure what was going on with it, it maybe just a local problem with the internet. WE have had so much rain and wind that sure that has caused probems with some of the limbs falling on the poles and wires.
Saw my new postlady this morning, not our regular sub taking over, just rearranging some of the regular ones. I am the turn around place and she did know what she was doing, so many new ones don't and they don't get me and I have to call.

That will be nice for Hannah and you. She has a graduation as well as our DGD#4 (high school) and DGS#2 (college) All in May.
We just got back from the funeral. I was trying to figure out how everyone is related to Dave and got confused. He just calls them cousins. We had a nice lunch there too.
We got a few slaps of snow yesterday but south of here they had up to 3" overnight. It's so cold that my exercise was cleaning this morning inside and that warmed me up just fine! I guess winter isn't done with us yet.

Phyl, I love your avatar, I remember baking those lamb cakes at Easter for the girls. with a coconut nest etc. I wonder what happened to my lamb mold. Been gone a long time. Maybe I gave it to a friend with young kids when mine grew up. who knows.

Connie,
I was surprised when the soccer game was canceled because of the weather. I don't think we had more than a brief sprinkle, but Hannah wasn't disappointed. She was going to work concessions and was happy to stay home instead.
I hope by Monday you'll be feeling better and will be able to drive for your haircut.
I love the picture of the flowers in the snow.

Hi, again!
Snow?! I remember going to DS's soccer games in all kinds of weather. I don't think I could do such a thing today. So Hannah has decided to live at home next year. I know you will all be glad to have her there. Our DGD2 graduates from middle school this year. It seems impossible to think of her being in high school next year. Darn! Time zips along, doesn't it? She is excited about this new stage of life.
Hugs! Diane

Diane,
Your DGD#2 and our Rachael must be the same grade. Rachael will be in high school next year too.
