You can practice positive thinking anytime, it starts working immediately!!
I thought that I was the only one in the group that was having a hard time coming up with fresh questions for the group, but I have seen that someone else says that they are having the same thoughts. We have talked about diet & exercise etc. etc. I so enjoy the swapping of food ideas & recipes. I think that so many things have a bearing on our food intake & our health, I think that our surroundings have a lot of effect on our mood, which in turn has an effect on our general well being. Also our wardrobe can have a big effect on how we feel everyday.
Do you put on makeup (if you wear makeup) even if you are not planning on going anywhere that day?
When you go to your closet, do you choose what you really feel like wearing, or are you more conscious of what may make you look slimmer?
Now that spring is here, what about swapping out for brighter, more beautiful colors.
Do you own a spring rain jacket? If so, what is the color of it?
What about jewelry, are you a fan? do you wear simple jewelry, even around the house?
One of my mini goals for the spring/summer is to take more pride in my appearance, I have gotten in a real rut with it this winter, I am planning on dressing a tad better every day (I may even wear pjs that match), I am going to put on earrings & a tad of makeup. Maybe I will no longer scare young children when I leave the house. Any of you in the same rut?
FUN: Do you remember the name of the first guy that you kissed? How old were you?

Do you put on makeup (if you wear makeup) even if you are not planning on going anywhere that day? I rarely wear make-up… I wear it for Sabbath services and for some parties, but it’s not an everyday routine in my life any longer. I did wear make-up on a daily basis when I was working in a professional field, but retired from that a number of years ago…
When you go to your closet, do you choose what you really feel like wearing, or are you more conscious of what may make you look slimmer? I wear what I feel like wearing. If I’m going to be working at my chiropractor’s office, I choose a top that’s less like an all-gender t-shirt, but that’s about the only thing I’m conscious of.
Now that spring is here, what about swapping out for brighter, more beautiful colors. Spring is here? … I live in San Diego. The weather extremes are nowhere near the extremes in most of the US. For the most part, I wear short sleeves in spring and summer and long sleeves in fall and winter. Colors don’t change for me depending on the season.
Do you own a spring rain jacket? If so, what is the color of it? I don’t own any rain jacket or rain coat at all. I do carry an umbrella in my car just in case of rain, plus I have another umbrella near the back door (the door that leads to the garage), but that’s the extent of my rain consciousness.
What about jewelry, are you a fan? do you wear simple jewelry, even around the house? I am a fan of jewelry, small, almost dainty (but not quite). I recently lost a sterling silver bracelet that I really really loved. I had been wearing it every day for years… I haven’t replaced it yet, although I have a very small collection of sterling silver bracelets…
When I was in a rut, I didn’t recognize it… Then I started watching What Not to Wear on TV and realized I wasn’t dressing for my body. I got rid of most of my work shirts (you know, those blue chambray shirts) and changed my boys’ jeans for women’s jeans (it’s true; they’re designed for the shape of my body, while the boys jeans were definitely not!).
FUN: Do you remember the name of the first guy that you kissed? How old were you? Paul. Very young. We weren’t a couple, to speak of. I had a crush on him but he didn’t return my feelings until years later; we bumped into each other in college after I was married and that’s when I saw he could have liked me as more than just another neighborhood kid…

Do you put on makeup (if you wear makeup) even if you are not planning on going anywhere that day? Not every day if staying home. I put on makeup once a week to go to my Wednesday get together.
When you go to your closet, do you choose what you really feel like wearing, or are you more conscious of what may make you look slimmer? I don't think about slimmer looking but focus on comfort and putting together an outfit that looks nice...I think of color and style and accessories and color coordinate. Most of the too small clothes are out of the closet now and I focus on comfort.
Now that spring is here, what about swapping out for brighter, more beautiful colors. My clothes are about the same around the seasons. I add color with accessories.
Do you own a spring rain jacket? If so, what is the color of it? I have a brown raincoat that is light weight. I don't have a winter coat...not really...just layer under the raincoat.
What about jewelry, are you a fan? do you wear simple jewelry, even around the house? Love jewelry and have everything from costume to fine, chunky to delicate, all colors of the rainbow, ethnic and vintage...jewelry is fun I also think of people who gave me the jewelry I wear when I put it on and feel like I am "taking them with me" when I go out and about.
I don't know anyone much around here so don't worry about it. I even wear pajamas unless I am going out and about. FUN: Do you remember the name of the first guy that you kissed? How old were you? Patrick Cook. I was about sixteen and at summer camp...walking home one evening after campfire...still remember it...sort of?

Do you put on makeup (if you wear makeup) even if you are not planning on going anywhere that day? ** I don't often wear makeup any more, and never around the house. I don't even wear it when I go to town. I will wear it for special occasions.
When you go to your closet, do you choose what you really feel like wearing, or are you more conscious of what may make you look slimmer? ** Since I don't go anywhere very often, I wear whatever I want to wear. Again, for special occasions I pick what looks good on me.
Now that spring is here, what about swapping out for brighter, more beautiful colors. ** I tend to wear nice colors all year round.
Do you own a spring rain jacket? If so, what is the color of it? ** I do have a rain jacket, which I seldom need to wear. It has pink and white stripes.
What about jewelry, are you a fan? do you wear simple jewelry, even around the house? ** Some jewelry I wear most of the time, namely a pair of stud earrings and a ring that I wear when my fingers aren't swollen. On special occasions I do have some necklaces and different earrings that I wear.
The first boy that I remember kissing was a kid that came here with a custom combining crew. I don't remember his name any more. I was 17 and just out of high school that spring. I guess maybe I had turned 18 about a month before, as it would have been around the first part of August.

1. I do tend to wear makeup (light), when I am not leaving the house, I only put on a moisturizer. Sometimes if I decide just to run out to the store for something, I will go as I am. I am going to try to do better about that.
2. These days, I usually wear whatever is comfortable. I do like pretty colors, after a lifetime of choosing dark stuff, because I thought it made me look a bit thinner, now, I just wear whatever I like & what feels good on.
3. I do have more bright colors for spring/summer. My favorite color is red.
4. I do own a spring rain jacket. It is red on one side & navy on the other, it is reversible. I usually wear it with the navy side out & the red lining showing. I would like to have a 2nd one, but just haven't come across what I want at a price that I can afford.
5. I love jewelry & I have quite a bit of it. When I was working, we were only allowed to wear a minimum amount of jewelry, now, I really don't have anywhere to go to wear it. I do wear earrings almost every day, but that's about it.
6. I think that I just feel better all round when I get out of my pjs. I am trying to put on at least a casual outfit & fix my hair every day. I know that it will improve my general outlook.
FUN: Cathy, believe it or not, my first kiss was also a boy named Patrick!. I was 14, he was 18. He was the older brother of a friend of mine. We went for a walk (in broad daylight). I was so excited, as I had had a crush on him for a while. We held hands, he bent over & kissed me gently on the lips. When I got home, I was scared to death that my parents would find out. I was sooo young & dumb.

Do you put on makeup (if you wear makeup) even if you are not planning on going anywhere that day? My "makeup" only consists for the most part of blush. I don't generally put it on if I am not going out somewhere, not just to the garden When you go to your closet, do you choose what you really feel like wearing, or are you more conscious of what may make you look slimmer? I actually really like all my clothes at this point and have weeded out ones that don't make me feel/look good. Right now, I am still wearing the layered look.
Now that spring is here, what about swapping out for brighter, more beautiful colors. I do have brighter/lighter capris than I do winterish pants. I would love to find a pair of purple colored capris or ankle pants for the spring.Do you own a spring rain jacket? If so, what is the color of it? I just bought 2 new rain type jackets. One is blue/gray and I can't remember what color the other one is. They were on sale for 50perc off and I never really fit into the rain jacket that I had. I had bought this first one because I loved the color, but it never fit very well.
What about jewelry, are you a fan? do you wear simple jewelry, even around the house? I just wear a ring for daily living. I have lots of scarves and necklaces that I add to outfits.FUN: Do you remember the name of the first guy that you kissed? How old were you? Don't remember.

I like the quote - Good to remember we can make a fresh start anytime - no need to wait until tomorrow, or next week or anything like that! Do you put on makeup (if you wear makeup) even if you are not planning on going anywhere that day? Yes, usually, but...very minimal makeup. Usually just foundation. One day I forgot before work. A co-worked walked in and immediately said "oh, no...are you sick?". I need a bit of boost to look healthy! When you go to your closet, do you choose what you really feel like wearing, or are you more conscious of what may make you look slimmer? I spend most days in a uniform, so not a lot of fashion involved there. Weekends tend to be jeans and t-shirt or turtleneck, which is what I feel like wearing. I really don't feel comfortable in close fitting tops, so I don't think I look slim..but I'm comfortable. Now that spring is here, what about swapping out for brighter, more beautiful colors. I guess I like to blend into the background - I go for denim, black colors.Do you own a spring rain jacket? If so, what is the color of it? Kind of. It's a very practical gor-tex jacket, more like one would wear camping than a fashionable piece.
What about jewelry, are you a fan? do you wear simple jewelry, even around the house? Very plain, small earrings. And a watch. Working in cooking/food service, jewelry isn't allowed at work. I forget to wear it outside of work! Might be fun to try. I could sure get a couple of more colorful tops. I'm not sure about makeup. I never felt I was very competent at makeup even when I was younger and wore more and more often.FUN: Do you remember the name of the first guy that you kissed? How old were you? I was probably 17. I remember, but I'll keep the name to myself.
