WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

Good morning. I had a surprising light food day yesterday. I was home, so the only fruit I had was a banana. Fruit is a go-to food when Iโm out all day and busy.
Calories 1330 Points 23 APs 22 (8 mile run)
The macro function isnโt great, I found another glitch in it. As much as Iโd like to keep track of macros, Iโll forgo it until they improve the feature.
Kathy, I hope youโre having a relaxing tropical vacation!
((Nancy)) Iโm praying for good news today. Please keep us posted. And yes, weโre in agreement re: people who eat junk.

Hello Ladies!!
Nancy, Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers...please let us know how you are doing.... Jan, your doing great with counting!! I would think you would see a hugh difference...I know you don't use the scale as a guide - will you be going with how you look/feel and how your clothes fit?? I heard about counting macros but I wasn't sure exactly what that meant...I had to google it...I'll need to read more about it to fully understand..but I was wondering if you could use the MFP information with how they break down the categories...
Busy day at work today.... Hope to BBL

Really good news. May not even require surgery. She may wait for another ultra sound in six months to see if anything changes. She is, though, going to show films to her own radiologist and to her team in case she's missing anything. Prefers not to operate because of Afib which has its own risks (being off Eliquis, etc). But it sounds as if surgery, if decided upon, will be minor. Couldn't have asked for a better report.
