⭐ No Excuses ⭐
* This is a daily thread for those who want to live by the philosophy that you CAN be ON PLAN EVERY DAY, whether you are doing SFT or counting points for ALL foods! * You aren't doing this to brag; you are doing it for YOU! Because YOU are WORTH IT and because WW has made this totally DOABLE! * WW gives you a lot of freedom and a LOT of options that make it quite possible to live this lifestyle EVERY DAY. * You know that this philosophy keeps you on the straight and narrow. * Ifyou give yourself an excuse to go off plan today, there will ALWAYS be another excuse tomorrow. * SO, there are NO EXCUSES!!! * This is your LIFESTYLE and it is a lifestyle you enjoy and you live it daily. * Hopefully your participation here will not only inspire YOU but will inspire OTHERS too! YES, you CAN

At first they'll ask why you're doing it.
Later they'll ask how you did it.

So true...remember this from the two times I reached goal weight in the past...
Karen:Are you going to follow one of the WW programs or just be wise about what you eat when getting to goal again? I am still on the fence about what "program" to follow.

I'm trying to be mindful but have not followed any WW plan that involved points. I feel that Core or Simply Filling became bastardized with all of their new programs. They've changed things up so often my head is spinning. Throughout it all, SF got pushed way back, almost to nonexistence, though they are incorporating much of what we believed and followed all those years ago into their latest plan. I love Connect but I'm not wild about the WW corporation. I am embarrassed to say I am still paying monthly. I was free when I was Lifetime but I have a way to go. I haven't shown up to a meeting to weigh in in I don't know how long. I also joined NOOM. I check into that every day on an app and weigh in daily & record it. They use science, psychology, & sociology to help with tips & tricks and also you have a group with a leader, and a personal coach you check in with ~once a week. So I track what I eat on NOOM but that's calorie based. They also categorize foods into color groups; green, yellow, and red and recommend you eat more in the green group and less in the red. Of course they explain why. It's great for folks that don't know a lot about food. Many foods pop up in their database but you can add foods that don't if you have the nutritional info. If not, you can just put in a calorie value and leave it at that. At the end of your day when you're done logging your meals you can analyze the day and they show you your color breakdown and you can see if you went too big in the red zone, etc. They cheer on your good choices too and will send you reminders when it's time to log your meals if you want & you set it up. You can connect with others in your group but they're not as active as Connecters, not even close. There's also lots of ways to work in activity and track that as well. You get quizzes and tasks and articles on topics. In your group there are daily posts and challenges and a place to comment & have your say or just reply to someone else. I like it.
I also spoke to my husband about doing Whole 30. I bought some f the books after doing on line research & printing some basic information & running it by him. Though it's restrictive we both said yes but haven't set a start date. That is still pending. I didn't want to do it after surgery for a few reasons and the physical demands of driving to the store or preparing meals would not work in the beginning. I'm still not back to work and am way more mobile. I have a procedure this Monday April 8th with a few restrictions for 3-6 weeks but nothing like the shoulder. Everything's good. Having joint pain, I've read a lot about how gluten & dairy are archenemies and often wonder if cutting them out could in fact help my inflammation. Of course losing the weight would 100% certainly help my joints! So as you can see I'm all over the place. I have an appointment coming up with a new rheumatologist in NYC and lots of questions for her on this topic too. That's on April 29th. Will keep you posted! Probably leaving sometime Thursday to go back up to see my grandbabies again for some of the weekend. They were so precious and happy hormones can only help!
