diva49, hoping your day goes well, despite the Changes By Others. Good morning. Cold, rainy, "wintry mix." DH has a VA appt that I'll go to with him, then some food shopping. Nothing else planned right now. Wishing all a good day. KOKO.

Morning all.I'm in. It got up to 92 here yesterday which is too hot too early even for us.Today should be a high of 85 and that I can handle if I walk today.Yesterday was a little warm to walk. fullmahina I hope DH's appointment goes well. DebDoesWW Enjoy your day with your aunt. I ended up spending over 1 hr waiting yesterday before they even called me back for my dr appointment.I can't really complain because other people were waiting longer than me.The dr is only at that location once a week.He did give me a cortisone shot in each knee.I have never had a cortisone shot that was so painful but that was in my worse knee.I no longer have a good and bad knee.I have a bad and worse knee.LOL.I have to wait probably 2 weeks for Medicare approval and he wants new x-rays and doesn't have a machine in the office so I'll wait until the first of next week to go to the imaging facility. Then after Medicare approval he has to order the injections. He doesn't keep them in the office since they are so expensive.Felt some better this morning. Will see after more movement. Have a great day all.

MJ - So much for your retirement. Full - Hope his appointment goes well. Stay warm. Have fun with your aunt, Deb Becky - Sorry about the wait. Hope the shots give you some relief until you get the gel shots. Typical KOKO day for me. Will try to walk at lunch but the weather may not cooperate.

Good morning. I’m in. Cloudy today with more showers or rain. The tree in the front of my house knows it is spring, why the heck doesn’t the weather??? Yesterday I received 3D renderings of the kitchen along with blueprints for both the kitchen and bathroom. I had a couple of questions about the blueprints which I emailed back; after I get satifactory answers and/or corrections I will sign off on the plans. They offered two start dates aid I chose May 6—might as well get the pain started. I’ve made the following plans: - I’ve picked recipes to pre-cook and freeze totaling at least 42 breakfasts and dinners and 24 lunches. I figure I will eat lunches out at least 3 days a week.
- I’ve put together a game plan for preparing the house (and me and Missy) for the work. I will be moving upstairs where I have two bedrooms and a bath which are NOT directly over the construction zones. The largest bedroom is already outfitted as a living room and there is plenty of room to put a table and baker’s rack to handle appliances for heating foods. I could even do simple cooking there but don’t want to if I don’t have to.
- I will spend the next several weeks reorganizing various areas of the house. Some of this will be like the great Gypsy switch, making room here to move stuff from there, etc.
- I will try to have myself and Missy moved upstairs a week or more before work begins so that Missy can (hopefully) get into the routine of living in the restricted quarters.
So at least I am feeling a bit less overwhelmed by everything involved in the preparation/construction process.
This morning I will be heading to the library (soon) for volunteer work, then to lunch with my library friends. I need to do some menu plan for next week so I can pick up groceries over the weekend. I keep forgetting that I need to continue to exist in the weeks leading up to the start of construction!
That’s it from rainy Silicon Valley. Everybody have a great day and weekend and KOKO.

Good morning friends. After our morning walk we came home to hear the back-up battery for the computer ringing out loud. This is a signal that it wasn't working. We've had issues with this back-up before so I unplugged it and drove it to our friendly computer store. Since it had a warranty, they gave me a new one and I got home and got everything plugged back in. So my plans for the morning went by the wayside. Oh well, I'm learning to be flexible. I'm picking up the grands at noon as they have an early dismissal day. We'll come back here and eat lunch and play some games until Mom is finished for the day. diva49, I understand the Changes by Others days as I have them a lot. fullmahina, I hope the VA appt. goes well. How is DH doing on the cardiac rehab? DebDoesWW, enjoy the day with your aunt! Where are you taking her? borntexan, I'm sorry that Medicare makes it hard for you to get prompt and good care. I hope the shot helps. susiq25679, enjoy your lunch time walk; hopefully your weather will cooperate. zazzles, I love your construction plans and lists. I do the same thing. Hopefully, being prepared will help you get things organized for you and Missy. lavonm, enjoy your lunch with DS. TGIF, y'all! Hope you all have a great weekend. We're supposed to get rain so I'm planning on some inside activities (and I'm being flexible about those plans!!)
