The Mind☯Body☯Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post:

Woo hoo on your first bulb coming up Suzanne! I'm sure my backyard has some shoots out there, but right now they're covered in snow. Our meeting was very good, about making a clean sweep and decluttering both environment and mind. I'm going to declutter a little add-on room where I've been putting stuff all winter because it is cold in there. Then declutter the back seat of my car and go to the car wash. Bags, receipts, magazines for the library, etc. Also - I was down 2.6 pounds after not touching my DH's trail mix and potato chips for two weeks. Daily Affirmation - I achieve what I set my mind to. Fitness Report - fab gym workout - 20/20/10 cardio of treadmill, arc trainer and recumbent bike; used cable machine for back and obliques PT; delicious long stretch with some yoga thrown in. Health Goal - declutter mind and environment. Gratitude - being back in control.

Good Sunday Morning, All:
Pat: Congrats on the scale victory. Super job! I'd love it if you shared some of the clean-sweep/declutter tips here from your class. (One a day?) I don't acquire 'things' anymore, but I do have areas I need to purge/declutter, etc. Decluttering the "things" from our lives seems like a good add-on to this type of thread.
Yesterday's weigh-in for me shows I'm hovering at the same weight and I realize that, with my increase in strength-training activities and increase in muscle-mass, I may no longer see a lot of scale victories and I need to measure my victories in other ways: measurements, sizes, etc. Coincidentally, that happened yesterday. I tried on a couple pairs of smaller-size pants that I never thought I'd be able to wear. Ever. I'm a bit stunned. And happy. I do expect that I will lose more weight. Its not like my body is solid-muscle. LOL. I wish. But its not going to come off as quickly as it had been. I'm just grateful for what did come off (50 pounds in the last year.) I haven't seen that rate of weight loss in over a decade. Yesterday's warm temps and sunshine melted virtually all of the snow. You would not believe how green the grass is. A sight for sore eyes!
Daily Affirmation: I choose to embrace peace in my life
Fitness report: strength-training and PT exercises Fitness Goal: strength work, flex-work and PT exercises.
Health Goal: (and this is huge right now) Remove the distasteful external influences by shutting them off or ignoring them. Take control where I can and do what I can to be proactive. Embrace my own power and the peace I can create in my life.
Gratitude: Yesterday's family time. So much fun.
Namaste, Suzanne

Pat, congrats on the 2.6! I loved your note to self on the trail mix! My downfall is Dan's homemade popcorn and chips and salsa. It's easier to avoid the chips, but when that popcorn aroma fills the house, there's no place to walk away to. I need to toughen up!!!!
Suzanne, the pant-o-meter is a much better victory measure, isn't it? You're doing great, keep up the good work!
I've been so sore all week, it's been draining, but I'm happy to be working harder. I decided I need to pump it up, and that feels good. I've also been sleeping like a baby.
WE drove up to see my niece today. She can only move her arms, lips and eyes, but oh boy was she communicationg. Even cracking jokes! I told her about my son and fiance having a baby, but they haven't announced it yet and she is motioning 'My lips are sealed', hahaha! What a sense of humor! She is amazing! They're hoping she will be flown to Chicago on Tuesday. She might have her jaw un-wired tomorrow. That would be awesome.
My other niece had her baby Vivian on Sat night. Mom and baby got a fever during labor, and were put on anti-biotics. They're keeping the baby in ICU to keep a close eye for 2 days. It's a bit nerve racking, but I think she's in good hands.
