Love you guys.... thank you for being my strength when I have none.. This is a day I want over and done.. but don't want to face. I can't even explain how I feel..
Cat, please take care of yourself. don't wait to see a doctor and get something for that cough. Why do people have to share all things.? I hope you feel better sooner than soon.
I'll be back tonight if everyone goes home, but if I have overnight guests may wait till tomorrow.
Jenny

I was up at 4:30 again! But I think for the first time in a long time I had a good night sleep so even though it's early I do feel rested. But boy have I started a morning routine with Bridgette and the hamster Waffle! I got my coffee and Waffle was at her cage door looking for her morning treats and then when Bridgette saw my coffee cup she jumped off the sofa but this time instead of heading to the bedroom just headed towards the back door and was out there a good 10 minutes. So when she decided to come back in my coffee needed warming up. At that time of morning I go out with her as even though it's a fenced in yard I worry that something could still get back there. But at least Bailey didn't wake up!
Jenny you are in my thoughts today as I know how difficult this is for you. I so wish I could be there giving you hugs but I know you will have family surrounding you with their love. Just take it one day at a time, one breath at a time.

Good Morning Connie and Awesome Aprils,
This morning it is 55* and going up to 74* today and cloudy with winds S 10-20 MPH with rain coming overnight. We have a nice day, cloudy but the sun is peeking out.
MJ, Sarah and Rachael just left to go to Concordia College in Seward for the Gathering of the Talents. Kids come from Lutheran Schools all over Nebraska come for this competition that is held yearly. When I worked in the development office at Concordia I was in charge of this program, so it brings back lots of memories. When I did it MJ was going to Concordia College there and she helped with it. Our Lutheran School in Seward is hosting it this year. Sarah and another girl are doing a dance and Sarah will also play her clarinet in the competition.
Hannah and I are home with the dogs and all is quiet right now. Rachael isn't in the program but went along to help with the costumes for the performances. We'll be waiting to hear how they came out when they get home.

Good morning!
The electrician is on his way here, so I may not have power long! But it will be very good to have this work done.
Jenny, my thoughts and prayers are with you and those you love. Diane

Foggy, 60 to 69. Cloudy 80% chance of rain starting about noon. I will try to get more stuff loaded in the back of the truck and in the camper before it rains.
Someone mentioned that I was busy lately. Well in this part of the country you have this short spring window then it gets hot and hotter and even hotter. So this gives people the fever to get yard and garden work done. I don't garden anymore.
Have a great day and weekend. HUMMINGBIRD LUCY

No lunch with DGD as the baby is running a fever, her Dr told her to take her to Urgent Care as this is her first fever. fevers are so scary for first Mom's. I sure remember those days. DD#1 also ran very high fevers and I was scared every time. She will let me know what they say. these days even hear that not good to give babies even Baby Tylenol. and in my day there was baby aspirin. Always changing. I will bet that her Mom will go to her house but if not I will take a run in. Her DH is working one more week away.
I think I better call my brother in California later today. He is pretty much confined to his wheel chair these days and my heart breaks for him. I need to call more often. Or convince him to call me as well.
the sun is shining but the sky is a funny grey color. Pretty quiet in the neighborhood.
Phyl, I love that Maggie the Mess Maker. Saw a tote for yarn and supplies once with that on the front of it. Was so cute. Almost got it for my over night bag. Now I wish I had. Have a good breakfast and visit.
Lucy, I don't blame you for wanting to get that stuff done in the short time you have. Weed eating is the pits, I tried our big one one year and it vibrated so bad I gave the job back to DH. See now they have some lighter weight smaller ones but don't need one now. My lawn guys does all that, thank goodness. used to love the mowing with tractor but the rest was just darn hard work. I don't have gardens anymore. Now and then a couple tomato plants ( not sure about this year) Do get container flowers and hanging baskets so that is just watering. Which I don't mind. have wind chimes along with the hanging plants and love to sit out on my back porch. Filled the bird feeder yesterday and the next time it is going out on the maple tree for summer. Thinking I need to get my wind chimes back out. I leave the wrought iron bench out there as I like to sit out there even in winter sometimes. But could put the cushion on it now. Love outdoors!!
I am still getting the Good Will bag ready to go. Put in a couple blazers that I never wear anymore this morning. I don't like the short ones anymore. Would like a longer one sometime this spring but ordered a white denim spring jacket the other day. Should be here this week.

April is named after the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite. In the Roman calendar, the fourth month April is spelled Aprilis, meaning "to open." Festivals which were planned for April included Parrilla, a day celebrating the founding of Rome.
The name Aprilis, then, fits April, because in so many places in the northern hemisphere April is the month when trees and flowers begin to bloom and go on to flower.

Hi Connie and Awesome April Ladies,
Already partly cloudy and 57, wind is W 3 mph, the high 68! Yesterday we reached a high of 70!, felt so good running errands without a jacket, shorts would have been better tho. Since my post late last night (I'll repost it here if you didn't see it) I got one graduation card assembled and ready to post on Pinterest. As for today, one more grocery stop, bathrooms and floors, and I hope to finish the day off with another graduation card finished if not cut. Of course all of this in addition to my regular daily to-do things.
Jenny, thinking of you and your family on this day. Although it may be difficult I hope you will find some peace at the end of the day.
Connie, I hope you were able to get rid of that head ache by now.
Cat, take care, as I've told the boys, there are some things that we don't need to share and that is sick germs/bugs.
Sandy, can't believe you will be taking off for your vacation in just a matter of hours. Remember, if you forget something you can always pick it up (it may cost more tho, but you won't be without).
Phyl, enjoy your breakfast and the rest of the day. BTW, I remember using the word "bummin'" as a teenager.
Doris, is Concordia the only college/university that Hannah applied too? I don't remember if she got her acceptance letter from them yet. But then again I can't believe she's ready for university.
Diane, YEAH! the electrician has probably arrived by now, I hope you won't be without power for long.
Lucy, please continue to take it easy and don't over do it. I know your getting excited to go camping and with your sister too.
Well, guess I'd better get the breakfast dishes cleaned up and head to the grocery store. Have a wonderful day everyone, will try to get back later.
