Linda, I got all I planned to do in the camper and good thing. A down pour just hit. My head feels like a storm. I am funny. I can feel the pressure. I have a chair in my haul closet if I need to take cover. Hope I don't loose electricity.

Linda,
Yes, Hannah received her acceptance letter from Concordia-Nebraska quite a while ago and it is where she wants to go. She also has some nice scholarships which will help. She went for a weekend in the dorm and enjoyed it, but she says she wants to stay at home so she can help us too.

Good morning (for 15 minutes more!)
Jenny, we are surrounding you with caring today. Hope you can envision us all around you during the services.
Lucy, glad you got the outside work done before the storm arrived! I wondered, as well, what the odd gray sky that Connie mentioned was going to do. Hope you two don't blow away! I'm really wanting that little camper I saw . . . can't get it out of my mind. I have the fever bad!
Connie, hope the odd gray sky didn't evolve into anything serious! We may have to hire a yard man now that DH isn't able to do the work he used to do.
Doris, I hope the girls have a good time at the college! I don't recall your mentioning that Sarah was playing the clarinet. Super!
Sandy, 4:30 is entirely too early! Do you drink decaf coffee at that time, or do you get your caffeine that early?
Marlene, I like the little Zagg keyboard I have for my tablet, but I am unable to change several font colors, size, etc., I have to choose just one. I usually choose size so folks can actually read what I key. I love to read on it and do crosswords.
Phyl, at one time I sewed tons of counted cross-stitch! I would have taken all your kits. My hands don't cooperate very well now, so I limit myself to any hemming that has to be done by hand.
Diane, hope all the electrical work goes well. I don't think your DGD will get a very clear picture of what life was like before electricity -- it would take longer than a few hours to do that, and I'm sure you have made thorough preparations ahead of time.
Cat, good to see you! Hope you get over the bug soon!
Linda, I registered for Pinterest once, but now I've forgotten all the information I used. Guess I should make a new account so I could see your cards. How are your parents doing?
I've been to breakfast with the church ladies . . . there were only three of us, and we are wondering if we should change "breakfast" (8:30) to "brunch" (10:00).
I needed to go to Walmart and the bank, but didn't do either. A larger home near us came on the market this week, so I've been looking at the photos online. It appears that every room is wallpapered. If it appears to be painted, there is a wallpaper border. There is a hot tub in the walkout basement. The description says there are walk-in closets and a utility room, but none off those are shown. Those are what I want to see! I would also like to have seen a floorplan sketch.
Now it's "good afternoon"! BBL to see what's happening! ~~Mollyann

It is dark and rainy here. Just had another Vick’s treatment. It helps. I just need to rest. Stay well!

Mollyann I never drink decaffeinated coffee. Always the real thing but only one cup and yes I do have it that early and then follow it up with water.
Linda if I forget something I will have to go without as being on a bus no option to just stop at a store.

The sky here has turned blue and lot of puffy white clouds so the sunshine is not steady but it is 62° and quite nice. I "planted" the fake daffodils around the mailbox and they look pretty cheery out there. My neighbor noticed right away. They just "grew" over night, right???
Cat I love Vicks as well and it helped me a lot especially my burning nose. finally just put some in the nose with a Qtip!! Whew Relief after about 10 minutes.
Head ache is gone and it could not be a barometer headache but at least it is gone.
Baby Emma is sleeping, they told DGD Tylenol switched off with Motrim. for fever. Figure it is a virus but not the flu! Dr is on call and he called back in 10 minutes. Horray she has a real caring Dr. He said by taking her to Urgent Care they will have a record and it will be good to have that record of her first illness and how she does. DGD said her baby thermometer, flashed red and beeped when the 102 temp registered. That pretty much scared her a lot!! I guess!!!! Dr also told her that babies have higher temps than adults.

Connie, when my nephew had his first inoculations, his little leg turned red and hard, he ran a fever, and at one point had a seizure. Scared DSIL to death of course! The doctor said that babies' fevers sometimes spike really fast, and that causes a seizure. Nephew is fine now.
Good to know about alternating Tylenol and Motrin.

Phyl,
Union College is the one that Hannah wants to go to. She wants to study is nursing and Union has an excellent program for that. When we lived in Japan the hospital in Tokyo was was one of their hospitals and the care was excellent. The only thing she doesn't like is that she will have to go to church on Saturday at one of their churches.

Doris, This wasn't even my conversation, but now I'm confused . . . is Concordia college the same as Union college? Molly

Molly,
Concordia is a Lutheran College and they don't offer nursing.
Union is a Seventh Day Adventist College and they have a great nursing program. We are Lutheran but used Seventh Day Adventist doctors when we lived in Japan and were impressed by the care we received.

My laundry is done and put away. We had a Literacy Night last night at our school. It was themed Camping under the Star. We had ten stations set up including making "lanterns" with tea lights, "tracking" animals, bookmarks, singing campfire songs, writing stories to read around the campfire, a campfire, s'mores, hot dogs, and other snacks, and reading to the Comfort Dogs. We had two golden retriever Comfort Dogs that the kids read to and just generally loved on. One dog, Marie, kept turning the pages on one of the books. I was in the Comfort Dog room with their handlers (Waylon stayed home). About 150 people were there. Jenny, I pray that your service went well.

Cat falls in the door with Kleenex and her cherished jar of Vick’s vaper rub.
All you do is question Doris. Have some faith in their choices. I know Morehead/Concordia is a good college. The Redskins coach was a graduate of Morehead. Football talk and I see that look, Mollyann.
I think I moved Morehead college. Well, so be it.
