Good morning everyone! I think this is the first time in forever I have gotten things going around here with all of you early birds.
Taking aunt to the airport then hunkering down for a weekend of storms. I am glad they are happening after she leaves so she wasn't trapped indoors the whole time.
I am in! Have a great day all 😊⛈☕️

Hope the storms aren't too bad Deb. My handyman has been down for the count this winter and I can't hold off on some projects. Tree guy and plumber will be here sometime later this morning. Some of my trees of gotten completely out of control. Fortunately my neighbor will also give him access to his yard as well to clean everything up. The plumber will take care of some minor stuff like the "phantom" flushing in the master and leaking outside faucet. Next week the guy who does the landscaping in our development will rake out/clean up my back and far back yard. Also, another handyman will replace the thatch on the tiki bar. I'll hold off putting up the gazebo canopy until it gets warmer. Right now the winds would just shred it to pieces. I'll start picking up bags of soil for the garden and prepping for Easter Saturday. This year there will be 16 of us and THE BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DebDoesWW, stay safe in those storms!! susiq25679, hope all your repairs go well. Good morning. The rain/ice has stopped and the sun is coming out. There were little piles of icy pellets yesterday and this weekend we'll hit the sixties! My bare-root rose bush came and I'll soak it in a bucket of water tonight and plant it tomorrow. It's a pink climber and I'm going to plant it on the side of the porch. It will be a few years until it's looking like anything but a little shrub but you have to start somewhere. My basement garden will be harvested today. So nice to pick your own greens and they last for weeks in the fridge. The lettuce, spinach and green onions will regrow and I'll plant more radish seeds. I pick everything as I need it too but now it needs a good whacking. Wishing everyone a peaceful day. KOKO.

Thanks for starting us up this morning, DebDoesWW,. I bet lunch at the lake was lovely. It's cloudy and looks like rain right now so I think our wet weekend is starting. I don't mind a little rain because we didn't have any during March. susiq25679, I'm doing some of the same home projects you are. Our trees were trimmed last week and the flower beds are getting redone later this month. I'll be glad to get it done. fullmahina, I am jealous of your basement garden. How great to have fresh produce in the house! No plans today. I've got some books to read so a rainy day sounds perfect for that project.

Morning all,
I have some catch-up reading to do of yesterday's posts but, the home and garden projects sound great. I haven't yet mapped out the day but, after groceries, we'll hopefully take advantage of the rain break and do something outdoors.
Becky hope the knees respond quickly to the injections.
Have a good day everyone! I'm in.

Hi Everyone No time for personals now as I have to get ready for breakfast but just wanted to say that since I’ve been in the La Jolla my allergies have gone away. It is a really expensive treatment but perhaps I need to move here. Will BBL

Will BBL Funny, Audrey, but when I drove over to the coast a couple of weeks ago I noticed the same thing…I stopped having symptoms as soon as I got on the downhill side of Scotts Valley.

Good morning. I’m in.
Today’s plan is to work on cleaning my upstairs digs for the pending move upstairs. I started yesterday so I’m ahead of schedule.
I am going to make the Ultimate Banana Bread (America’s Test Kitchen) later but will make muffins instead of a loaf. I made this a couple of weeks ago and it was sooooooo good.
The weather is still “showery” but is supposed to clear up later and tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and warm.
Have yourselves a merry little weekend.
KOKO

zazzles When Bob was stationed here in the Navy. One of his very best friends had a wife who was also in the Navy but allergic to Marine air, They had to move to the East Coast in an area not close to the ocean. He became a naval commander and I am not sure what she ended up doing. She may have had to leave the military.
