I'm IN.
Yesterday was a long drive, a long day, and Food The Unknown.
And everything worked out well (but I'm still taking today as Mj-Time to regroup).
I'm savoring my coffee... ☕☕☕... and sitting in a sunbeam...
🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿 Have a healthy-eating day, all. 🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿

Good Morning, MJ; thanks for the start up. We're still waiting for "the rain" that is supposed to be coming. I'll bet borntexan has had a lot of rain, judging from the maps I saw this morning. Take care, Becky, and send a little of it to the Houston area. Otherwise, it's 70 degrees and cloudy but that may change later today. Depending on the rain I may be grilling some chicken breasts for the week. Also roasting butternut squash with some apples and craisins thrown in. (new recipe) Right now, I'm looking for coffee.

Good morning all
I'm off to visit my aunt again this morning. She had a terrible fall breaking four ribs and puncturing a lung. She's no longer in the trauma center which is a blessing. Warmer and less windy today so we can use the fire pit to burn dead branches. Later we'll try some hamburger patties on the grill.
Enjoy the day!

Good Morning @doordie I hope you aunt heals quickly. She must be in so much pain.
After breakfast we drive to the airport and have a short flight home. At 5:30 we are going to our grandson’s 5th birthday party. Our son is grilling ribs and made salads. It’s just for the immediate family so not wild and crazy.

I'm in. linda72 We only had 1" rain yesterday. We were under a tornado watch and at the time I went for a walk very little thunder and I made the whole walk without getting wet. This morning it's been thunder,a lightning show and some rain. However we had planned to go to Taylor yesterday for a memorial service but DH didn't have a good feeling about the impending weather so we stayed home.It was a good thing because Taylor got almost 6" rain and the Main street into Taylor was flooded. They showed it on the Austin channels last night. They did say it was heading east but they haven't mentioned Houston yet as far as I know. doordie50 Sending prayers for your aunt. jamescat1 Safe travels and enjoy the birthday party. It's still thundering but I think the rain is letting up some.I imagine when DH gets through outside we will head to town for groceries.I thought we had enough leftovers for tonight but surprise we finished it last night. Have a good day all.

***Raising Hand***
Good morning. I’m in.
The sky has cleared. It is blue. There is sunshine. (I just adjusted a blind to block the sunbeam that was directly in my eye!)
Yesterday was more cleaning out “stuff” I no longer need and carting it to Salvation Army. And the trunk of the car is filled with another load. I’m glad the pending construction is forcing my hand to clean out a lot of stuff I no longer need and send it on to those who can use it.
And yesterday was a commerce day: I picked up a microwave that, supposedly, will fit into the niche in the new kitchen. I need one to get through the construction, and since the current built-in is going away, the new one will fill the cabinet allocated for it.
I also ordered one of those fancy self-cleaning litter boxes. No idea how well it will work or how Missy will feel about it, but I figured it can’t hurt to try and the less labor I have to do during my “time of stress” the better.
Today I need to at least select some recipes for the coming week and prepare the shopping list so I can pick stuff up tomorrow. Then I think I will try to get out for a bit of fresh air.
Hope everyone has a great day. Stay sheltered if your weather is threatening.
KOKO

doordie50 , how awful! Wishing your aunt a speedy recovery! Good morning everyone! Going out in a few minutes to plant my bare-root rose bush. I've had the roots soaking in a bucket of water overnight and now it's ready to go in. Hopefully, in a few years it will look like this: The weather is really nice so I'll go around and start some cleanup. That's about it for today! KOKO.

linda72 , DebDoesWW , jamescat1 , borntexan , susiq25679 , fullmahina , pamthomas46 , Thank you all so much for the prayers and well wishes for my aunt. We never did get to any of the wood burning today but, we were able to put down some much needed top soil in the back. Everyone and their mothers were out today. The weather was terrific. fullmahina , Beautiful roses - I just love that color! zazzles , hope Missy likes the new loo. It's great you're getting so much done ahead of time. borntexan , I saw pictures on the news from Austin. So glad you guys are OK. Hope everyone had a good day.

Thanks doordie50. My hometown of Taylor got hit the worst and Austin too but thank goodness we had no bad weather associated with the rain.

zazzles it sounds like you are doing what I did in January Now with the new tax laws I don't have to keep track of charitable deductions, I can just donate to whatever is the easiest place for drop off. I will still save the best for the Assistance League thrift store. I hope Missy likes the new litter box. borntexan I hope you can get through the ups and downs of the weather to eventually have a steady temperature. I assume it is the same for linda72 That's why my East Texan FIL gave me a weather radio.
