diva49, I shall remain silent...((HUGS)) Good morning all! Rainy and cool but Spring is bursting out all over. The rose bush, such as it is (spindly canes buried almost completely) has been planted and we shall hope for the best. I think my dreams are bigger than reality, lol. I had to divide up a bunch of phlox and now I've started yet another plant nursery---five little plants out of one big one. My garden is a mess, IMHO---some scraggly stuff that really didn't do well during the winter of '17-'18 is going to be pulled. I babied them and gave them one more chance last summer but now it's adios and aloha. Looking back I guess I should have ripped them up in September and put some new ones in then. Another fence company is coming this afternoon to give an estimate and I have a feeling we are going to go with them. I really liked them initially and they have a great reputation so we will see what they have to say and then make a decision. Have a good day, everyone, despite what may get tossed your way!!

I'm IN! It's a clear and cooler Monday after a stormy Sunday. We only got 1" of rain which was a perfect amount. While the ground was soggy, I pushed in some tree fertilizer spikes and pulled a few weeds popping up. But, I didn't realize one weed was a stinging nettle! Goodness, I instantly felt burning on my fingers and hands. I ran in the house and DH poured vinegar on my hands and I scrubbed them with soap and water. Soaking in baking soda helped a little and I took a benadryl. This morning my hands are improving but 2 fingers are still burning and feel like I've had novacaine injected. I've never experienced this before and will remember to always wear gloves.
But, in better news, I'm meeting my girl friends for our monthly lunch and game day. It will be full of laughs and friendship. And then, yoga tonight with DD. So, it's going to be a busy and fun Monday!

I'm in. Good morning all! 58 and warming to 77. Pollen anyone? There's a fine yellow coating on nearly everything outside. I need to wipe out the window sills before the kitties take up their stalking positions. My allergies should be revving up any minute. Chicken stir-fry tonight. *sends diva49 , more coffee* Hang in there. linda72, yikes! Hope the discomfort goes away quickly
Have a good day

Good morning. Iβm in.
Spring has left the building again. Gray with rain starting in the evening. The weather has so confused the animal world that I saw two ducks walking down the sidewalk in a huff yesterday. Made me laugh out loud. Of course, later, I found feathers in the swimming pool.
I will be heading to my meet-up with WW friends later this morning. Then back home to continue prep for the construction. 28 days to the start of the project.

Good Morning I am in especially after a birthday party barbecue last night. I have many errands to do before I volunteer in the kindergarten classroom. Our weather is in the low 80s so a good walk with the dog is also on the agenda. I am pouring the coffee now.

Good morning all. Got a lot of outdoor work done over the weekend and all my contractors are lined up and priced out so it will be a busy week at my house.

I should probably Google that so I don't grab it if it is native here. Feel better!! Do look at a picture because it looks like an innocent weed but it's not! My hands are still tingling after 24 hours although it's much better. A suggestion was made to urinate on my hands like you do with a jelly fish sting but I declined and DH said, "NO WAY!"

But, I didn't realize one weed was a stinging nettle! They're awful! They show up in my garden once in a while and the stinging is terrible. BTW, they are edible!! Only after cooking so resist the urge to munch on one while gardening.

fullmahina, eh, no thank you to the stinging nettles! Ohh, I can't imagine eating those. My hands are still tingling although they are greatly improved. DH was a combat medic in Viet Nam and he saw lots of strange medical things there. He treated one GI who used "some leaves" to complete his bathroom time in the jungle. The leaves were something like stinging nettles, a la Nam style and to say this GI suffered is an understatement. His back side was blistered and sore for days. Glad I only used my hands to pull that weed!
