Karen, thanks for the start. How is the former tick site? Is the swelling down? How is Arya’s tiger stripe? I bet you are feeling good about planting season beginning. How did the yoga routine work out?
Linda, your plant is stunning. I saw that you were supposed to reach 90° today. How are you feeling?
Kathy, I prefer the Home Goods to At Home because At Home is just a big warehouse with shelving and it had a big candle section which set off my allergies. How was a Discovery of Witches? I forgot to watch it last night. I’ll have to watch On Demand.
Becky, you are getting a lot more spring rain than we are. We never got the thunderstorms that the weather guessers predicted. It is another cloudy day but we are supposed to reach 70°.
Liz, I am glad the tugs seemed to be working better over the weekend. I hope there are no hitches this week so you don’t have yet another aggravation to deal with.
The robins have been chasing each other for the past couple of weeks, so we are keeping our eyes peeled for nests. The squirrels have been frolicking in the backyard too, so my entertainment is back. Iggy has had much entertainment in his new job. Besides the NCAA First Four in basketball, he has seen Les Miserables and last week was the international championship for color guard. This week it is the world championship for percussion and winds winter guard. I know he has enjoyed all of them. He does have 4 trips coming up, 2 in May and 2 in August bit no weekend traveling and 3 are road trips. He is happy about that. Tomorrow is the annual AC maintenance. I have a window from 8:30 am to noon to wait for them.

Sounds like some nice perks for Iggy.
Allergy headache for two days! yuck.
Showered, dressed and headed for my two year gyn appt....duh...which is next Monday. Guess I did not hear that right. So, I went to the mall to get in some steps.
There is an evil spot in the walkway between stores that sells olive oil and special vinegar and other $$$fun imported stuff. Sampled the blackberry balsamic vinegar...oh my! That is going to be wirth every pennyand make salad happier. Also got a spice powdered bruschetta mix that you can add to tomatoes too for sauce. Couple low calorie thrills. www.ooliveoil.com
Got back and walked the dog early...supposed to be 97 today, 95 tomorrow, then 79....whacky.

The tick bite swelling is down a bit and Dale said it's not as red. It's in a place on my neck where I can't see it, so I am having to depend on his assessment. Having the foot surgery when I did worked out well for gardening and I am excited about seeing how the new plants do. Yoga worked out pretty well and, while I had a printed plan, I did do a little modification from time to time. I know you're glad to have all the little critters back in your yard. Iggy is definitely being entertained in his new job. Does he feel better today? Nice that the upcoming trips aren't long ones, either in distance or time. Good luck with maintenance tomorrow. Hoping for earlier rather than later so you will have the rest of your day to do other things.
Kathy, I don't think I realized A Discovery of Witches was starting last night, so I also missed it. How was it? There is an At Home in the huge shopping center near Osteo, so I may have to check it out. Looks a lot like Home Goods from the website. Did you see that, in addition to looking for a women's basketball coach, TN may also be looking for a men's coach? Our current guy may be getting an offer from UCLA that would be about double his current salary, which is over $3 million a year. The KY coach was offered $8 million a year for the same job and turned it down.
Sorry about the continuing headache, Linda. Shopping beats a gyn appointment any day of the week, but sorry you got there a week early. That vinegar sounds amazing! I'm glad you'll get a little break from the heat, brief that it may be.
Becky, how is Scooter today? I hope you don't have more storms. Does she know what a big dog she is, or is she the opposite of a Chihuaua, who thinks it's way bigger than it actually is? Have the floods dissipated?
Good luck with the TUGS, Liz. I hope they will behave themselves and not try to take over your life this week. What's Zoe's status?
We have had a lot of rain today but it's been coming in waves. We are currently in a lull, but expecting more soon. It's supposed to rain into the overnight. Won't complain because it's filling up the lake. The LP gas driver called late morning to say he was on his way to fill our tank. We have a large in-ground tank so they have to come to us. Anyway, Arya saw the truck at the gate and actually barked at it! That's a first. Maybe we will eventually have a watchdog. Nothing much got past Phoebe and I can still hear her baying when she would see a vehicle at the gate, even if it was just turning around. I got some laundry done and am just about to put rice in the IP for dinner. I was watching the Pirates and Cubs and it got ugly fast. I turned it off when the Cubs were up 10-0 in the 4th.

Chele, I haven't been to the new Home Goods yet, so I'm glad to hear it's better than At Home. A Discovery of Witches was pretty good, although some of the plot seemed like stories I've seen before. Most of it took place in Oxford, England. It was intriguing enough that I'll keep watching for now. I'm glad the critters are reappearing in your backyard. I never know what I'm going to see when I look out back. A young hawk was perched on a post yesterday, but he took off when he saw me looking at him through the window. That's great that Iggy is having some fun in his job and doesn't have to travel too far.
Linda, I'll have to check out the olive oil site. Or maybe I shouldn't! Hope the headache improves.
Karen, see my comments to Chele on the Witches show. I was a little disappointed in Alex Kingston being in the aunt role instead of more central to the story, but maybe that will change as it goes along. She played the mother of two of the characters in Arrow and they really didn't give her anything to do which was a waste! I haven't been following the coaching drama, but that's amazing on the salaries. That's great that Arya has found her bark! Storms are heading across the state, so we may get some in a bit.
Liz, hope Monday wasn't too bad and hope the tugs were running smoothly.
Becky, I heard a 90 in our forecast too. Not looking forward to that. Did the sun come out today? They always show people doing stupid things after storms here too. That's too bad on the 10K being cancelled. They delayed a Space X launch due to weather last week and it doesn't look too good for the scheduled time tomorrow either.

Karen Thanks for the start.
Chele We hadn't gotten as much as 1/2" rain since January 2 until this weekend. We ended up with 1.75" but Austin got over 4" and Taylor ended up with 6' and was still raining there last night when they showed them on the 9:00 news last night. We don't normally get much spring rain but it's supposed to rain Saturday again but from what they are predicting it won't be as much. Our high today was 83 since the sun came out this morning.I am sure watching the robins chase each other are so cute.Iggy does get lots of perks doesn't he?I hope he is feeling better.
Linda I had a sinus headache for 2 days but they were saying with the drop in barometric pressure over the weekend lots of people had migraines too.Blackberry balsamic does sound interesting.Wow on your high temps already.
Karen We didn't get any floods here since we didn't get as much as others. They just said Taylor ended up with 8".Supposed to rain Saturday again but I don't think as bad as this last weekend.Scooter still doesn't like the wind but she doesn't whine with it.It's been a beautiful day but with her being all black she doesn't tolerate cold or heat well. She wanted in the house when we came home from Walmart and again when I got back from my walk this afternoon. She will stay outside when Kenneth is outside but if I'm inside she wants in with me.Speaking of the devil she just came in with Kenneth. She is an excellent watch dog though. If anyone comes on the property she will bark. She wanted out after breakfast and she started barking immediately.Kenneth has shows coming on at 8 and 8:30 or I would probably watch Texas Tech tonight and I don't even care for basketball.
Kathy We are expecting a high of 89 tomorrow and 92 on Wednesday. The sun has been out most of the day and it's been absolutely beautiful.

Becky, I thought the first time I was planning to do the Capitol 10K, it got canceled due to thunderstorms, but according to KVUE, yesterday was the first time. So I must have been thinking of another race when we lived there. I hate it for the runners who did all that preparation and didn't get to race.
Kathy, I think AMC has a rebroadcast of the witches early Sunday morning, so I'll have to remember to record it. Sorry to hear Alex Kingston doesn't have a major role. Most of Arya's barking beforetoday has been demanding breakfast, so barking at something other than the food slave was very different.

You heated right up, didn’t you, Linda? Sorry about your allergy headache. So disappointing not to get the gyn appointment over and done with but at least you got some steps in. I usually don’t like fruit with savory but the blackberry balsamic sounds good.
Karen, when Kathy said Arya has found her bark, it reminded me of Beverly Hills Chihuahua when the pampered pooch meets the wild nerd of chihuahuas and they all start barking. Yup. I watch kids’ movies if they have dogs in them. I am glad Dale thinks the tick bite is healing. Iggy was feeling better today.
Kathy, I hope the storms aren’t too strong. I haven’t seen a hawk yet in the yard this year but I saw a few flying nearby. There is still a farm field that is planted with grain half a mile down the road so there is a big mice population, hence lots of hawks. I was able to squeeze in a half hour of A Discovery of Witches and it has started well. I will probably finish it tomorrow.
Becky, Iggy is doing better, thanks. He deserves the perks of this new job after the way the old one treated him. They don’t make up for the chop in salary, though. I hope the sinus headache has gone away. I bet Scooter has a big, scary bark to keep people away even if she is a big lovey dovey.
