This is probably not new, but I was pretty happy with how these came out:) Very cost effective if you like kale chips. A small bag of pre-made is around $5 and has additives to keep them fresh. A bunch of fresh kale is around $1 and makes 2-3x the amount in a bag of pre-made.
Method: trim and wash a bunch of kale. Rip or cut into pieces about 3x the size of the "chip" you want. Dry really well. Fill a gallon baggie about 2/3 full of the kale, then add 1 teaspoon avocado or olive oil. Smoosh the air out of the bag and seal, then massage the oil into the kale for a few seconds to get a coating on them. Toss into the air fryer basket and cook for 4 minutes at 380f. Shake basket, add a little salt (or Kernel Seasons ranch, cheddar, whatever) and shake again to distribute. Cook another 3 minutes, shake and then cook and shake every minute until they get as crisp as you like.
These shrink down a lot, but make sure your basket isn't filled past the top when you start or the top may burn in the first 4 minutes.

Adding: I may try beet greens (beet tops) if I can get some at the farmers market. I love them cooked, I bet they make tasty "chips" too

Thanks for the recipe. My son loves kale chips but I never thought to try the air fryer.
