Has anyone else tried these? I was so excited to try these when I saw an ad in a magazine. So I finally found some cauliflower ones and we had them with dinner tonight. They definitely taste like cauliflower. The kids wouldn't eat them. I was disappointed when I scanned them. They have so much added stuff they are about the same points a regular tator tots! I also picked up some veggie rice so we'll see how that goes. I love the Trader Joes frozen cauliflower rice.
On the plus side, I've gotten used to avoiding potatoes like the plague on past diets so when I started searching all my frozen potato options points wise I realized I could throw some in every now and then. The kids will love that!

oh wow Sandy thanks for the heads up. I was thinking they would be less points and was going to check them out, if that is the case I will just stick with regular tator tots! I take 1/3 of a strip of turkey bacon, wrap a tot, bake and enjoy!

I have seen them but haven't tried them. I do like the riced cauliflower - and so does my husband.
I no longer avoid potatoes - I eat them often, both white & sweet potatoes. I think they're a good bang for my buck (SP). I do avoid pasta though.
I also tried a zucchini "cake" - packaged from Costco. They had an "okay" taste, but the texture had a lot to be desired. They were very soggy - no matter how long I baked them - I tried to flatten them out (to dry them) - still very soggy. Sorry, but I don't remember the brand.

I did try a couple of the new frozen Veggie Rice; cauli/sweet potato and a roasted broccoli items. I was disappointed with them both. Pitched them, lesson learned.

Thanks for the warning - I was worried about added stuff, too. Also gluten. In the fall I looked at some of the newer veggie and grain blends and was surprised to see gluten listed.
Better off to stick with the ingredients the way they came from nature, I guess.

I like the Green Giant Riced Veggie - Cauliflower. The only ingredient is the cauliflower. Since it has so little flavor, I combine it with other ingredients to add some volume to my meal.

I wanted to try the veggie tots but haven't seen them in the store. Maybe I'll try them if they're on sale! azcristi I've had the zucchini pancakes from Costco and think they're good. I cook them a long time until they get crispy. They are a little greasy though.

I have tried them and like them as I dont like broccoli....I put just a dab if oil then salt them before putting in an airier or oven...they come out crunchy....yes I did notice stuff added but have a hard time finding broccoli recipes I like.
