Good morning everyone! Thank you for the start up diva49 ! We are 1/2 through the week folks, hang in there the weekend is almost here. 🐪 Thyroid medicine has been lowered, will see if that helps with the devouring a fatted calf mentality *eyeroll*, too high too low too high too low. Happy Hump Day! I'm off and running early this morning: car to the shop for quickie oil change, WW meeting and Costco. But, first, coffee..... DebDoesWW, sorry about the thyroid problems. Hope it gets balanced soon!

Good morning, everyone! Le soleil brille.
Today should hopefully be an easy day. Last night was nice. I attended an interesting lecture at the university. It was lecture three of six on modern China topics. I'll attend a different kind of one-time lecture tomorrow night.
By chance, one of my doctors has been attending the modern China lectures, along with his wife, too. I found it odd that he hand his arm around her shoulder most of the time. In a lecture hall. Does anyone else think that would seem odd? He's not a newlywed by a long shot. They're in their 70s married at least 30+ years. My husband wouldn't do that to me in a lecture hall or concert hall.

Morning all! Last night I got pics from my nephew who just relocated to Seattle. I'm already planning my road trip lol. It's cooler but, thankfully no rain today. Our boat was launched first thing this morning in Pt. Pleasant. DB will make the two hour boat ride to Forked River and the new marina. DB got approval to install a 6' handi-ramp for me from dock to transom that can be stored upright when not in use. I'm hoping to visit my aunt again this afternoon. Tonight's dinner - veggie omelets. ((( DebDoesWW, ))) cyndee, the lectures sound interesting - enjoy.

They're in their 70s married at least 30+ years. Maybe I'm a little old fashioned but I think it's cute. My DH puts his arm around my shoulder at church or conferences all the time. As long as they weren't making out or something I think just touching her shoulder is appropriate affection. Had my heart stress test yesterday. Went OK, got the test results on the internet, everything seems OK. DebDoesWW,- I hope they can fix your thyroid issues soon. My hormones are all over the place- I think it's just TOM and probably need a little more of Black Cohosh this week.

Good morning. I’m in. Yesterday I stayed on schedule and cleaned out the freezers in prepration for this morning’s garbage pick-up. I now know that I have about a year’s supply of bacon…most of it center cut. LOL. Thyroid medicine has been lowered, will see if that helps with the devouring a fatted calf mentality *eyeroll*, too high too low too high too low. UGHHHH Speaking of thyroid, I took Missy in (under extreme duress on her part) for her weigh-in and follow-up blood test after putting her on throid medicine. I’ll hear the blood work results sometime today. She gained 6/10ths of a pound in about two weeks, so I guess something is working—not sure if it is the meds or the American cheese I giver her twice a day with the pill buried in it! Today’s agenda: more construction preparation. It is another clear, blue day—the sun is shining right in my eye at the moment, so a shade adjustment will be made. That’s it. KOKO

I’m in. Yesterday temps in the high 70’s today and tomorrow rain and snow predicted. 4 to 8 inches in the forecast today and tomorrow. Thought I had everything needed in the house. I woke up and realized I needed to head out to pick up essentials for me! Luckily still no snow and gentle misting. Home now and have decided if I don’t have it, I don’t need it. 😊
After 30 years in SA, not experiencing snow, I don’t leave the house if there is snow on the ground. I know the snow will melt quickly. By Friday temps are supposed to be up again. I can do this. Staying in and keeping warm will be key. Have a great day everyone.

We hold hands whenever we're walking, and Toots also puts his arm around my shoulders when we are part of an audience, whenever possible. Coming up to 47 years married here... and very aware that at our age every day is precious...

cyndee I think it just depends on the individuals. With the current Joe Biden controversy I wonder if we are all now meant to be robots, no touching. What will that do to the men I know who are European and kiss me on both cheeks? My husband doesn't do that to greet someone but I know at least two men that do. They are both touchers in a warm and friendly way. I think it is sweet that MJ and Toots still want to show affection. DH and I also hold hands when we walk and he always holds my hand when we are in an airplane for take off and landing. It's late but I had a fabulous day. I heard the first female prime minister of Australia, Julia Gillard, speak at our Town Hall and then went to an art and flower show held by my club. The art and flower arrangements were done by members. There was a tea with appropriate food and I had one tiny sweet, one deviled egg and a few of the small sandwiches for my lunch. I also purchased a heart topiary to give to the husband of a 100 year old club member who passed away last week and whose memorial service will be Friday. I dropped it off at their assisted living residence later in the afternoon as I did not want to bring it on Friday. Dinner was a WW lentil soup made in the crock pot that is a favorite delicious recipe. If it is cold where you are, come to Fresno. It was 71 today and will be going up to 80 by the weekend.

zazzles In a FB WW group there is a woman from West Virginia who took all of the shop classes because she liked boys and she is a whiz with power tools. I admire all the crafts she makes with her circular and other saws and she is so handy around the house working equally with her husband.
