Karen, thanks for the start. I know you won’t be eating any grilled cheese today. I probably won't either. You remember correctly. Little Teddy preferred to go au naturel. He didn’t even like bandannas around his neck. I got behind an octogenarian and had to slow my roll considerably and first shift workers are tired and also slow. On the plus side the Kroger employees on the afternoon shift are a cheerful lot. I am sure improving strength is a lot like everything else in life: 2 steps forward, one step back. If you only get one step back, you are doing well. You have lots of determination, so I am sure you will move up the wall from 25% to 50% sooner rather than later. I am glad you enjoyed your free massage and hope the lavender keeps the ticks away and that the Ledum Palustre does the trick to keep you healthy from tick infection.
Becky, 2 miles is a nice walk especially when the knees don’t bother you. I should go to Walmart today bit probably won’t. I have some time before we run out of body wash and mouth wash.
Linda, I hope the household feels better today. Congrats on the new laptop. They are definitely easier to type on than a tablet.
We have had rain and wind since about 5 this morning and I woke up feeling groggy but I am going to try and buck up and do some cooking.
Waving to Liz and Kathy.

Good morning...Allergies are Us here ....still getting rid of uti which is a lot better, and DH has got a bad cold....so much nose blowing here it sounds like we have geese.
Poor guy went t o bed at 8, woke at midnight coughing and was up until 4:30. Then some yard people came next door at 6:15 and woke uo everyone for half an hour! They start early this time of year until next Oct.
DH wants to go to Phoenix German bakery any way. I am staying home by the bathroom! No plans except my new library book.

Chele, I'm still trying to figure out our grocery store patterns. Wednesday was definitely calmer than Thursday or the weekends, so we may stick with that for now. I think it varies a lot depending on what's going on with the university. How's the cooking coming? I'm going to have to give the blood oranges a try. I usually buy the navels, but the raspberry flavor sounds good. Karen, thanks for the start. I agree with Chele that you'll move up to 50% on the wall before too long. I don't think you can expect results to improve every week, although I know that's as frustrating as not seeing the scale go down when you've been OP. Yes, that's what happened to me this week! I'm trying to get away from the weekend vs. week eating, but I still have that mindset. Hope the lavender helps with the ticks. Those things are scary! Do you have a brand of essential oils that you prefer? Linda, LOL on the geese. It sounds like I have some in my house most too of the time. My dad was the one that really honked though. Hope you and Bob are feeling better soon. Our yard people don't come that early, thank goodness. I think more mosquitoes are out in the early morning and the grass is usually still wet with dew, so it's better to come a little later in the morning. I can understand them doing that with your heat though. Liz, FriYAY at last. Hope you aren't feeling as sore today and can get out on time. Becky, I'd rather deal with the heat than the snow too. I will still complain about the heat though. Hope you have a good walk today.

No grilled cheese for me for sure, Chele. Wonder why the afternoon employees at Kroger are so cheerful. Good thing, however, because I would imagine some of the octogenarians aren't that easy to deal with. I'm surprised the first shifters aren't in more of a hurry to get in and get out. Did your rain move out and did you feel less groggy? What did you cook?
Linda, sorry the allergies seem to be continuing If you sound like geese honking, it's a good thing you aren't here because the neighbor would shoot first and ask questions later. He apparently hates geese. It's good that Bob felt good enough to drive to the bakery but I'm sorry you couldn't go with him. What kind of goodies did he get? How's the book?
If your grocery ads start on Thursday, Kathy, Wednesday could well be the least crazy day. I hope to be to 50% stronger than I got to 25% sooner than it took me to go from 0% to 25%. But then I was off for 8 weeks, so I have to account for that. Shoulders are a bit sore today for some reason but everything else feels fine. It will take you a while to subconsciously understand that you have a 7 day vs. a 5 day plus weekend eating pattern now. When I cook, I make enough for 3 or 4 days and don't pay a lot of attention to what day it is. When I worked, I would do big batches on the weekend and eat the same thing every day, which was pretty boring. I get some variety now. The best essential oils that ticks seem to hate are tea tree, rosemary, and lavender. I was using tea tree on the bite until it shrunk down quite a bit and then switched to lavender, which I can also use on Arya (tea tree oil is toxic to dogs). When we lived in NC, we didn't seem to have problems early morning (we're talking 5 am-ish) with "skeeters" but they got progressively worse during the day. I haven't figured out a pattern here yet, but then neither of us is usually out before 6 or 7. We are expecting some nasty weather on Sunday to the point that GSMNP posted on the Hike the Smokies FB page warning anyone who was planning to hike on Sunday to be aware that they were expecting heavy rains and high winds and to plan accordingly. Good day to stay home.
Becky, did you get to walk today? What else did you do, given that you got your grocery shopping done yesterday? What have Scooter and the kitties been up to today?
Friday, Liz! Hope you got out at least on time. Do you have PT appointments yet?
Dale enjoyed his day out. He bought a large cooler at the estate sale and I think it will fit in my car, so it will be great for grocery trips in the summer. I just hope it will fit in the trunk and still leave room for a bag of room temp groceries. He found a few gun parts at the gun show, so he was happy about that. Arya had freshly baked butternut squash with her dinner and we have clean sheets and summer quilt on the bed. I sent an email out to my greenhouse policy committee with their first homework assignment and some suggested dates for first meeting. And I've been back and forth with a couple of my cousins who saw my Osteo post yesterday and both have bone issues. While it may appear hereditary, they are both on DF's side of the family, so perhaps not. So I may have a couple more referrals for the OsteoStrong chain--one in Ft. Myers and the other in Pittsburgh. Since all the facilities are franchises, I won't get any credit. But I'm more interested in their getting healthier. One cousin is my age and is the one who broke her leg in a freak accident last summer. The other is only in her early 50s and sustained a stress fracture in her hip running a marathon a couple of years ago. DB/DSIL left this afternoon for their house hunting trip to AL. Hope they find what they're looking for. Dale is doing a local triathlon in the morning, so we'll see what Arya and I will get into while he's gone. I have yogurt in the IP right now and that will come out in the morning, but that takes about 30 seconds. Anyone got big weekend plans?

Karen Thanks for the start.
Chele I'm beginning to think the 2 miles is a bit much.May scale back a tiny bit next time.We get other things at Walmart too.Just no fresh produce. The last 2 times we have gone there they have covered about 4 checkouts with black looking tarps. It looks really funny. They never have more than 2 lanes open at a time anyway.I hope the rain has stopped. We may get a little rain tomorrow but not as much as first predicted.
Kathy It was perfect weather for a walk. Not too hot and a little breeze. It was 75 at the time and beautiful.Oh I will be complaining about the heat too.I hope you had a good day.
Karen We made a trip to Wally this morning.I walked this afternoon and rode the recumbent bike.I don't know if the rain will clear off enough tomorrow afternoon for a walk so I wanted to get a good walk in today.Scooter and the cats are fine.Tomorrow will be our last HEB trip of the week thank goodness.I'm glad Dale enjoyed his day out.I hope you and Arya will find something to do while he is gone tomorrow.
I was down 1.6 this week.I was surprised since I have been giving freestyle another try but I must have done something right.I think the extra walking is helping.
Waves to Liz and Linda.

You can do two miles just walking to Costco or walmart or Target from the lot, throigh the store, and back to the car!
Got most of my files on the new laptop...trackpad works funny...not used to it. moved okd photies to a thumb drive that has ipad insert on the other end. when I get the usb adapter, i can put some on the new computer, but not a lot.
DH has a bad cold...made him fruit salad and cheese spaetzle....sort if German mac and cheese with their noodles, swiss cheese, sauted onion and butter...no milk. He woukd just as soon eat ice cream for the throat...kind of a spoonful of honey and tea or hit lemonade day . Every once in a while it sounds like we are raising geese in the computer room/man cave.

Linda It is harder to do 2 miles on a country road where the temperature is less than ideal at times and the road isn't level especially with 2 bad knees.LOL.I have no problem getting it in the stores where it's air conditioned.
