The power is back on and my radio woke me up. Lights came on all over the house. Guess I should have turned some off. It came and went for most of the day yesterday. Since I was spending time with DGD and family yesterday they said to just come in to their house which is what I did. I guess the fast moving storm we had caused a tree to fall over on the lines and took out a power pole. So they had to replace the pole all together. So more than power company had to do some wire work.
I did come home right before dark last night and nothing was working. All good now and it is 4am. So will start Sunday’s thread. Then go back and read all the posts from Saturday. And then will be ready to go back to bed.

Still not doing well this morning. Hope I can go with Fred to get Maybean, Bailey and Bridgette this afternoon. Supposed to get storms so it'll be good that Bridgette is home to be able to be held when the storms come.
We still want to go to New Orleans but Fred said maybe go on our own as when looking at the bus company's itinerary they will be doing a lot of nightlife stuff and we just aren't night people! Plus they say there will be a lot of long periods of standing and I find that is really bothering my back if standing for a long period. So I think I'll see what sites are recommended to be seen and what hotels are good in the French quarter and just do it as Fred also thinks we can do it a lot cheaper than $4,000!

44 to 66 Partly cloudy. I hope that yesterday was winter's last Ha Ha. What a cold rainy day. Church this morning and lunch with friends. Church again. 2nd candidate for pastor today. I really liked the one last Sunday.
Connie, glad your electricity is up and running again. Nothing like being without. And to think I was without till I was 11 years old.
Kathie, what about pink blankets? DH passed at almost 40 years of marriage. I lost our first baby, stillborn. Yes, it is harder to lose a child. I watched my mom grieve over the loss of my brother who was 49. Kathie, to post pictures you have to have them loaded to a website like facebook. I can load my paintings because I have them on a website. Jenny has Pintrest.
Last cuppa the time to get dressed. Have a great Sunday. HUMMINGBIRD LUCY

Good morning!
It's April 14 and it's snowing big wet heavy flakes in mid-MO! Winter just won't stay away.
Connie, glad your electricity is back on . . . it's good that you spent the day elsewhere yesterday. It's so surprising when those lights come back on, isn't it! LOL!
Sandy, sure hope you feel better today. The pups will be so happy to see you!
Lucy, I'll be looking forward to hearing about this candidate for minister. Painful memories about the baby and your DH. Did your husband pass suddenly, or did he have a long illness?
I have a teacher's meeting this morning, so will be heading to church early. I guess I will hit the road running next Sunday. The bookstore in KC where we buy most of our literature is closing. We lost our Christian bookstore in Columbia several years ago. I think it's that the price of renting the building, itself, is so high that they can't make enough money.
Hey, Cat, what's for breakfast?! I'm having a boiled egg, and maybe a bran muffin.
Be back later to see what's happening with you! (The snow flakes are even larger now!)

Good morning! Sandy, hope you feel better by now. I know you are happy to be back with the pets. Connie, being without power is a huge nuisance. I'm glad you have it back. Cat, enjoy your breakfast -- whatever it is! Hope it is something good. Lucy, your schedule sounds like ours! Snow, snow, begone! Sorry, Molly.
Today should be a quiet day. We are up and ready for church ahead of time. DH is reading the paper (on his computer) and I am checking in with you, friends. Today we will clear away a few things to get ready for the new stuff tomorrow. I really hope it will actually simplify things. I currently have FOUR remotes to manage.
I'll enjoy seeing the children bring in the palms this morning -- they are always so very careful. Sweet! After church, we'll go to brunch and then come home to have our normal Sunday. Be happy! Diane

I went back and read all the posts from yesterday. First of all, Molly, yes I also will be available if you need anything and can also help Cat with the names etc if she needs me.
Cat, I agree with Poor Chicken!! that sounds awful!! Hope food a little better today. Feeling better, are you still coughing as much?
Lucy, welcome back from camping, glad your DSis liked the camping and she looks like she is in the picture. that would be the best part of camping just sitting outside and relaxing. Know this is your best time for camping and glad you have your schedule. We still have restaurants that serve liver and onions. and one of the old time favorites in lot of them is a Chicken Pie day. Take out or eat in.
Phyl, interesting to me about the meetings now. I started WW about 2 years after DH passed away, put on all the weight I had lost when he was battling cancer and then quite a bit more. Everyone wanted to take me to lunch and dinner to keep me busy. Then I went almost immediately to online. After my friend that started with me decided not to "do" WW I just did Online. Now I am just using some of the tools I learned back then. Thanks for the info and like some of you I feel that Oprah has ruined the WW brand completely. I am not a fan of her's at all.
Diane, I chuckled when I read your post. My DDs and DGDs are all short as am I !! My DGSs are all tall. So we have Mutt and Jeff when they are together. And none of us sew so seems like tape to do a quick hem seems like good idea to me. we do all know how to hem but-----. Think we have all done that to our graduation gowns over the years and dress pants for a quick fix. LOL
Molly, used to love spices of all kinds and even liked "hot". Not so much anymore but find food bland if I don't use the regular spices but found that lot of the ingredients in the WW recipe's now are not available around here and wouldn't know how to use them any way.
I don't have problem losing threads unless I push the wrong key but then I only use my computer. Not Ipad or Iphone. Not comfortable to me. Many times someone has posted same time as me and I just edit my post if I want to make a comment. Or if I forgot something.
My Mom and Dad lost 2 sons (one only 19) before they passed as away themselves , also a very young daughter in law who Mom was very close to. and a 20 year old niece. hard on the whole family, much harder on all of us. My DH passed away at 63, we were married 41 years. he was battling lung cancer for only 3months and can't really say I was prepared but knew it was coming quickly. Losing my baby brother at the early age of 19 was the hardest honestly.!! Big Sisters can't understand that loss either.!!
I am off to pick up the house and get dressed. 2nd cup of coffee was really good. Had great time with DGGD yesterday. Emma loved the baby chick her Daddy held for her and she wanted to grab it right now!!! She was so good in the restaurant and had her mashed bananas right along with us and our dinner. 6months old and cooing away to herself all the time and since it was so sunny she had on her pink sunglasses!!

Always Marry An April Girl by Ogden Nash
Praise the spells and bless the charms,
I found April in my arms.
April golden, April cloudy,
Gracious, cruel, tender, rowdy;
April soft in flowered languor,
April cold with sudden anger,
Ever changing, ever true --
I love April, I love you.

Hey, Mollyann, breakfast was scrambled eggs and rye toast. Boring, huh? Tomato juice!
Connie, thanks for the start! Coughing has improved. It has been awful!
Waving at Waylon because I want to right now!
Almost finished taxes. Whew!

We got snow here - the wet, sloppy kind. Waylon went out this morning and left puddles by the door when he came in - his cable dragged through the slush on the patio and melted by the door. I put a towel down to sop up the mess and he decided that it was a toy to play with. The last I saw it the towel was by his quilt. I didn't try to go to church today - I didn't know how the walking from the parking lot would be. Now I need to get the laundry out of the drier and put away.

My forsythia has bloomed and done. Green bush now.
Had my Braum's lunch with friends then bought a few salad fixin's.
Soooo sleepy. Yawn, yawn.
Molly, DH had been having issues but refused to go to the doctor. He passed away in a campground in Colorado.
Connie, I won't get to camp in May this year. June will be my next chance. After that it is really hot. So I don't usually go anymore. It is possible, but not probable. The end of September maybe.

Hi again! We're back from church, lunch, and a visit to DMIL. She is very tired these days. She does have a UTI and is on antibiotics. We'll have to see how it goes. She is 102.
Nothing happening here the remainder of today.
See you tomorrow!
~~Mollyann
PS: Snow is all gone and it's dry now.
