Happy Day All!
Sorry to hear about so many problems with DHs, and Emily's son. Knock on wood, I think we've missed the flu or even a bad cold this year.
Yesterday was good – my neighbor and I went to several nurseries, here and in the next town, and to Hobby Lobby. I got a nice coral geranium and a few more herbs. Now all I need is a pot for the latter.
Today is laundry and “picking up” the cabin. The question is always where to put the stuff down once I pick it up! It’s supposed to storm all day and is just starting. Lots of wind, but haven’t heard any thunder yet – and Charlie didn’t invade my space during the night, either.
Well, after all that exciting stuff I’ll wish you all a really good, warm, dry, safe, fun and loving day.
Cheer!

Good Morning All
Penny - Stay safe in those storms that have already caused destructions.
Sue - Now that the week is over, which day of the week was actually your birthday??? Inquiring minds want to know.
For each of you and/or your DH/Son/Daughter that are feeling puny - Get Well Soon.
Everyone have a Super-Duper Sunday.

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Cloudy, foggy and currently 61; the high will be 66.
Yesterday at soccer the coach gave Frankie & Vinny a turn at being a goalie. Both boys made some great saves but the team lost....6 to 3. The boys were not the goalie when the 3 points were scored. So they were happy.
Just heard from DS, Tom, he is feeling much better today. In fact it's the best he sounds since Wednesday. I'm so relieved and glad he went to the doctor and got meds. to help fight the germs. I will be staying home today so I'll do face time with TJ this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning All!
Sure does sound like everyone family is fighting some kind of bug. Hope all will be well soon.
Marilyn do you put a ceiling/protective screen over the patio curtains? Just curious if it’s supposed to help in the reduction of harmful rays too. I guess then it would be almost an enclosed porch, rather than a patio. The main purpose is privacy right?
DB and SIL stopped by yesterday for a visit. It was nice with no issues, so I was grateful for that. I love my brother dearly, but SIL and I are not best buds.
Spent most of my day working on the back room organization and hanging out with the puppy on the deck. I couldn’t find the kitchen house phone yesterday morning and after a lot of hunting found it out on the deck. It unfortunately it was out there during the heavy rain storm we had the night before. Shook it out, had a lot of condensation in the window and obviously wasn’t working. I left it out in the sun for most of the day, occasionally shaking more moisture out of it. By the time the afternoon came around it was functioning again. I brought it in, put it under a lamp to keep up with the dehydration process. This morning most of the moisture is gone from the phone window and it’s still working. I took it out to the deck this morning to get some more strong sun rays – see if I can get rid of the cloud fogging up the little window. Now if I remember to bring it in, I may be able to use it again. I’m blaming my mistake on Lily, she must have distracted me the other day- that’s the reason I left the phone out there, right?
Well it’s Sunday, so its wash day. I think I am going to cook the free baked ham I got through ShopRite today. After cooking I will cut it up into 4-6 chunks and shrink wrap them (Food saver bag machine) so that I can have a nice piece of baked ham when I want it. I’ve had a craving for ham now for the last few weeks. It’s a big ham – holiday size, so I am good on ham now for the next several months.
Hope everyone has a relaxing and pleasant Sunday.
Dayle

Glad your son is better, Emily. My DSIL had to get antibiotics, cough meds, and a steroid before his crud starting going away. then it was fast!! He is back at his Mom's helping her out in all his free time. Did see him washing DDs car the last time I was in there.
It was raining here this morning pretty hard and the weather people missed that one. said later this evening before the rain would get it. No wind with this storm though just rain.
I was without power for a while so just spent the day yesterday with DGD#1, DSIL, and DGGD. Was lot of fun, need to do that more often!! She is such a happy baby, her her smashed bananas right along with us when we were having our lunch. Everything was very good. DGD loves Mexican and that way I get to do my favorite place too.
We did go to the local Hardware store. They had 2 baby pigs that were snoozing away the whole time. so tiny they were still pretty pink, 2 medium size bunnies who were hopping all around in the big cage. Lot of baby chicks. all colors. DSIL held one the young man picked out for him, a pretty yellow and dark colored one so that Emma could see it better. Her stroller made it hard for her to see. She wanted to grab it from Daddy so bad!! My DGD sent a picture to her Mother in law's phone and she freaked out cause it looked like Emma had her whole hand on the chick!! "make sure you wash her hand" she texted back. LOL yes they have hand sanitizer for everyone and my DGD did use it, we laughed as she is a nurse and a little germ a phobic. then she texted back. "Oh gosh I am so sorry, you know me the Nurse coming out!! " I really like her she is fun. and not controlling at all. Emma loves my necklaces, wants them in her mouth!! We think she maybe getting a tooth on top. Okay that is your baby fix for the day! And mine!!!!
Penny , where are you going to put your geranium?
Dayle, I have a Life Proof case on my Iphone for that very reason and since I have it on the deck at DDs pool, my DD made sure I got one when I got this phone. Now some of the phones have water proof cases on them. Good idea. My DD carries her phone in back pocket of her jeans and has even dropped it in the toilet a couple of times. She says the new phone case is greatest. but mine if not that new so do love the Life Proof, no screen saver things and saves on scratches and dings and dropping phone. My DGS even stepped on his and All good.

Good morning everyone
Was nice to slow down a little yesterday. Been so busy. Did work on the dead looking Plumbago for about an hour. Got out a lot of dead leaves and cut out a few branches. It’s about 1/3 done. Ran out of room in trash cans. Will do more on Monday after trash pick up. Looks like it will come back.
Never seems to to end here. Noticed yesterday when sun was shining on sliding glass door the glass looks foggy in quite a few areas. Has wood square grid French design on it.
Well....tried to clean it and it’s on the inside in between the duel window pains. It seems etched. I saw this near the bottom a couple years ago but was not a big deal. I think all the rain we had lately built up moisture and now etched it when it dried. The door is ruined. It only shows when sun is directly shining on it. Before tree trimming we had no sun on this door. Now in late afternoon it shines on it and looks horrible. Looks like it has not been cleaned in years.
This oak 8 foot wide French door was custom built and stained to match our fireplace mantle and wall shelf. Do not want it replaced. I guess I need to see if the glass can be cut out of it and be replaced. We won’t have the square oak dividers but at least will have the frame and wall molding around the door.
Definately now getting the cabana patio curtains. It will block the sun from the door. Then cannot see it. If this works will not fix door. It looks fine with no sun on it. Found online at Bed Bath and beyond taupe outdoor curtains and outdoor bronze looking rods. Going to order them today for just the right side that the sun is coming through and it will totally block views into the house from people passing by the yard at night. Really do not need them across the front. Will keep them tied back until around 4pm and then draw it across. Without the curtains across front we can still enjoy the yard view.
I am so burned out fixing everything in this house. The door was never on the list.
Be back after breakfast.

Good morning, Doing a few things around here. Nothing very strenuous. Watching the Masters on TV and will switch to the Twins game this afternoon. Neither of us play golf but we do like to watch the pro tournaments.
DH is dozing in his chair. Said he slept pretty good last night. Maybe knee is getting better.
Nothing planned for the day. Greenhouses are having open houses today but too early to buy plants and I haven't decided on what to plant yet.

Penny- your yard will be so pretty with all the new plants. How do you like the shampoo and conditioner? Still no itching over here.
Emily- glad Tom is feeling better
Dayle- the curtains and rods are made for outdoor and have protection on them. Glad your visit went well.
They make beautiful pull down shades that retract into the top. Would be perfect but we have a aluminum patio cover and they might be to heavy. Going to call a patio company and ask. That actually would be better than curtains but would cost a lot more. Hubby wants the shades instead of curtains.
We discussed the damaged sliding glass door. We both do not want to replace it. I will check into replacing the glass. If the curtains keep sun off of it and looks ok, we will wait until next year to fix the door.
Today we need to go to Home Depot to buy 4 electric plugs and one switch. The chandelier installation is tomorrow morning and the electrician will do the plugs at same time. I am dreading chandelier installation. Hope it goes well. Will be nice to get it off the list. We are tired.

Penny, for me a domestic goddess is someone who can do everything I could do but don't want to and do it perfectly without any direction from me! I guess an executive housekeeper or butler would do, but that would be strictly in a fantasy world and way beyond my financial means!
I thought it was Saturday until a short while ago but realized that hb brought in the Sunday paper and took the trash out to the street. I wonder if I should be worried? Earlier today I knew it was Sunday.
Maybe I'm putting too much effort into trying to be a little more organized! I'm not sure if it's working or not ... if I can't keep track of the day!! Supper is half fixed. I did a big grocery shopping trip on Friday but forgot to buy milk. There's just enough to last till tomorrow.
