Good morning!
Today should be a quiet day. We are up and ready for church ahead of time. DH is reading the paper (on his computer) and I am checking in with you, friends. Today we will clear away a few things to get ready for the new stuff tomorrow. I really hope it will actually simplify things. I currently have FOUR remotes to manage. I'll enjoy seeing the children bring in the palms this morning -- they are always so very careful. Sweet! After church, we'll go to brunch and then come home to have our normal Sunday. Computers do not like wet. Quite the understatement, Phyl! You are right -- it is a catastrophe! We'll be glad to see Doris back, but you do very well at starting us going! Have a happy Sunday! Diane

Good morning Phyl & ATF,
Cloudy, foggy and currently 61; the high will be 66.
Yesterday at soccer the coach gave Frankie & Vinny a turn at being a goalie. Both boys made some great saves but the team lost....6 to 3. The boys were not the goalie when the 3 points were scored. So they were happy.
Just heard from DS, Tom, he is feeling much better today. In fact it's the best he sounds since Wednesday. I'm so relieved and glad he went to the doctor and got meds. to help fight the germs. I will be staying home today so I'll do face time with TJ this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Was without power yesterday as during a big downpour and wind a huge tree fell on a pole breaking off the pole, and dragging wires for quite aways. I think this pole had been hit by a pickup truck at one time a few years ago. so probably had a weak spot as well. I was going to lunch with DGD and family so just spent the day with them and got home right before dark. Still no power and they were still working on it all when we came around that way.
My radio woke me up early this morning blaring away. Wonder why I turned it up so loud!! Lights came on all over the house. oops maybe I should have made sure they were off.
No plans for today but did have a great time with kids yesterday, Emma love the baby chicks and her Dad held one in his big hands for her and she wanted to grab it pretty badly. almost 70° yesterday and lot of sunshine so she had her pink sun glasses. She leaves them on and I got such a kick out of her. We played on the floor after lunch and I did give her Easter things to her, she loves the keys. And you can never have too many sets of them. She is teething I think maybe one on the top. Not sure. I kind of went over board with little girl clothes, but hey girls can never have too many clothes, right???
Two of my Grandsons played soccer. one decided he really liked the running much better so when he dgot in high school he switched to cross country. DGS #3 played even after graduation and did winter soccer and the travel teams. I really enjoyed it and hated to miss any of the games. Was a new widow when they started and kept up that pace the whole time.!! Very glad I was able to, gave me a lot to look forward too. Don't think I could do it now days. especially sitting out in all kinds of nasty weather! Either too hot or too cold. LOL I am a weather whimp now days.

No Connie never too many clothes for little girls especially if they are your DGD's
Yesterday we went to see our DGD's new apartment. She was moving in and her parents were getting her what she didn't have, like a bed, futon, washer and table and chairs. We just did some cleaning. Those steps to the upstairs apartment are a killer
AND I begged myself along to Hawaii when they go to see her later in the summer. AND this morning Dave decided he wanted to go too, so Kids there goes some of your inheritance! Yes, everything is expensive. At least the company that DGD is interning at is paying almost all her expenses for the summer and she's a five minute walk to the beach!
DS#2 just left after delivering DGD#4's high school graduation announcement.
Diane it was fun to see the children waving the palm branches in church this morning. They were even given permission to skip and run up and down the aisles. We always have about 30-50 kids up there.
Phyl, I'll relay the message to Doris through MJ

Read somewhere that Hawaii is so expensive because almost everything has to be shipped in. Best time to "do" Hawaii is if you are in the military and stationed there.
I am so glad you will get to go this summer. I always said I wanted to go for our 25th wedding anniversary and then DD#2 decided to get married at that time. so that changed the plans but DH really didn't want to go anyway. Told him we are going on our 50th but then he passed away before that.
I see my DGKids traveling a lot and I am so glad they are doing that!! Don't put off anything until you retire. Seen too many do that and never hit that mark.
