Happy Day All!
Connie - going to put the geranium in a pot by the corner of the shop towards the cabin. Had one there last year and really liked it. Will put some sweet potato vine in with it. We go by there all the time, so makes it easy to dead head. Loved the story of going to the hardware store and the pigs & chicks.
Mar - sorry you're unable to use the patio curtains. I know you were excited about them. I know you'll be able to work it out and it will look wonderful. Oh - the shampoo is nice, but hasn't stopped the occasional itching.
Sue - I WANT ONE!!!...a domestic goddess!
Nothing really happening here except a cold morning. The lows have been in the lower 60’s and this morning it is 38. Charlie made his rounds in the yard, barking to make sure everyone knew he was up, and promptly came back to the front porch to come in.
No plans today (again) unless it warms up enough to plant the herbs and geranium I bought Saturday. A neighbor up the road is also giving me some tiger lilies, so I need to decide where to put those. We’re getting a little full around here.
As you’ve probably noticed, I haven’t been into doing too many personals. I don’t know why, really, except I thought I was getting too repetitive. Hope no one minds. I hope it doesn’t take away from the thread too much. Oh – I’ve also noticed how often I use the word “hope”. We all do! Maybe that’s one of the strengths of this thread – that we all hope good things for each other and it gives us each hope in return. Kind of like a small prayer. What do you think?
Hope everyone has a good day today. Cheers!

Good Morning Callers
Penny - I love that we all use the word Hope.
Charlie was saying "I'm up and at em so don't bother My humans.
Don't need personals. The rest of us just make comments about something one of us has posted. Enough said.
Just doing some laundry and need to mop the kitchen floor.
Hope everyone has an Enjoyable Monday.

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Partly sunny and currently 61; the high will be 63.
We don't need personals everyday, just need to know we are all here and can lend an ear if needed.
Doing the usual laundry and straightening up a bit. I really did nothing yesterday except grocery shop because I thought today was to be stormy. It's actually nice today so far.
Have a great day!

Good morning everyone
Last night watched Crazy rich Asians on tv. Was a cute movie. Kinda got my mind off all this craziness.
I am seriously fed up with the house. It’s been a constant string of remodeling and repairs for 4 1/2 years. In the last 4 1/2 years my mom, mother in law and our 10 year old dog has died. Emptied out my moms and MIL houses and sold them. We were in the middle of the backyard remodeling when my mom fell and died 2 months later. We need at least a year with no major home repairs.
The ruined patio wood French sliding glass door seems like the last straw. Will be thousands to replace and not sure yet if just glass can be replaced. But that will be expensive also.
I am so stressed over the chandelier installation this morning. I have visions of damaged ceiling that will need repair and painting. Trying to have a positive attitude.
Hubby just rolls with all of this. I says not to worry everything will get done and will get it done correctly. This round of repairs is stressful. After today nothing happens again until termite wood repairs on April 26. Will be a nice break of people here working.
After todays chandelier installation I need to go to the grocery store. Will cook a nice dinner and hopefully relax.

Morning All!
That ugly line of bad weather that was causing so much trouble west to east came through last night. We got hit with thunder storms early this morning, but they weren’t as bad as anticipated. Even though the princess woke up, got down under the bed, it was short lived and she returned pretty quick to plaster her little body next to Mom the protector. We shared a pillow for a while, her little nose blowing sweet nothings in my ear. Love it when she does that!
Cooked the ham yesterday and then broke it apart into 6 pieces and individually sealed each its own bag. Put all but one in the freezer and now am set with baked ham, for the next 4 months.
Did the wash and cleaned up some more in my back room. A micro mart website, tools for mini projects found its way into my emails, so I spent some time looking at things there. I found some real mini clamps to use while glue is drying that I might purchase and some real fine grade sand paper for surface finishing.
Well that’s it for today. Not much going on – too early to plant, too cold to clean outside and to wet to prune the things that need it. Going to play in the back.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Penny, you do a great job starting us and agree that it is fine with no personals. Know it is nice when someone remarks on a post and think we all do that, I have been on threads where I don't think they would notice if you never showed up again. This one is very friendly and so supportive!!
The storm got us and we had tornado warnings until 8:30 last night. Everything in my neighborhood looks fine and a few branches down here and there but just stuff you have to pick up no power saws needed. One area was without power last night for quite awhile but a crew was out right away. I actually only have a few small sticks to pick up before mowing season which is not here yet. It has turned colder so back to the jacket today, I have a trip to make to post office. should be 49° before the day is over. but then changes in a day or two again. Lot more rain in forecast though.
Mar, I can feel your frustration.!! I am so sorry that you are getting sick of all this remodeling. Just when you think the end is in sight. I have vertical blinds on my French doors on inside, out side porch deck is not enclosed in but has a roof on in so don't get the direct sunshine. I leave them stacked most of the time and do pull them at dark at night when ever that is. In summer that is usually 9pm but in winter it is usually 5pm. We do have twilights here but soon as I need a light on at night they get closed. I didnt' use to do that, but lived out in the country with no close neighbors. Now is not the case, not close by like a housing development but if I can see in their house then they can see in mine. LOL since you are a hands on person with remodeling I can see where you would be really be stressed. So sorry.!!
Don't you love the word HOPE, where would we be with it!!!
I didn't have to pay anything for income tax, got a nice refund and just had the small fee to pay to have it done. First thing I did was help out my DGS who is moving into his new apartment this weekend. First month rent, and security deposit but he lucked out not having to pay first AND last month rent.

Lin- thanks for picture of lattice screen planter. I did see that on Pinterest. Unfortunately won’t work for our patio. It’s a good idea though.
The chandelier is installed. Yay! Off the list Looks really good except I need to get different light bulbs. I put in full spectrum daylight bulbs to remove yellow casts. But when we turned it on looks a liltle pinkish. The shades are light taupe frost. They also replaced 4 recepticals and one switch. Now all our electrical is working good again.
Install started off horrible. Installer said would be an additional $50 charge because it swags. Lamps Plus knew it was swagging because we ordered extra chain. We pre paid $175 because high ceilings. Never told us about swag charge. Installer called office and got approval to install and have bill sent to Lamps Plus. Then he said could not install exactly where we have hook because it’s not screwed into wood. Had to go about an inch over to catch one. Lucky the main electrical box connection cap was a little larger than the old one and no ceiling repair there. The installer patched the hole where old hook was and I had paint left over from when we had ceiling painted. He did paint. It might need a second coat which the painter can do when he paints the termite repaired wood.
So relieved chandelier is up and we both like it. Finished the living room/dining room space. We are finished in there.
