Happy Day All!
Mar - so happy you're happy with the chandelier! Whew! Next time you get so worried and stressed about something, remember this. What's that saying? 90% of things we worry about never happen. Oops, maybe that's why I worry about so much - cuz then odds are it won't happen!
Lin - I sure wish you felt better. Too many things going on with you all at once.
Sue - how are you doing?
Thanks for all the understanding about the personals.
Made up for my lazy weekend yesterday. Planted the geranium and the sweet potato vines all in one pot. Hope that works out! One year the sweet potato vine took over the pot and grew halfway across the driveway and down the side. Then I went to the grocery store, put it all away and – to please DH - finished putting the fairy lights in the redbud tree, and a strand in the supposed buckeye tree. I say supposed because I don’t think it’s a buckeye, even tho that’s what the nursery said. I think it’s a horse chestnut. The blooms are sort of pink, not white. Being from Ohio, I really wanted a buckeye tree, but this is close enough, I guess. I know they’re in the same family. Anyway, then I made DH some Swedish Meatballs with noodles. That took a lot longer than anticipate. I adore noodles with just butter and salt – and it’s been a long time. I ate the meatballs and DH loved them, but not my favorite thing. So, was pretty busy all day.
It’s so very, very sad about Notre Dame Cathedral. I’ve always wanted to see it. What a shock for the people of Paris. So far, at least, it’s not terrorism. I’m glad of that.
Today have to get another large pot to plant my herbs and then I should be about done. Do have a few more pots to fill for plants, but not sure what I’ll do there. Also, the window boxes. Oh my, there’s more than I thought. Phooey! I’ll need more dirt and my window boxes need more of the mesh stuff. It’s called something funny, but I can’t think of it. (looked it up – coconut liners – they’re expensive!)
BTW, you can happy dance for me – I’m down 4#. That’s not as great as it sounds as I was up 3# the last time I weighed – about two weeks ago. But, I’m still happy with it. I think the 30 min/day on the little exercise cycle is helping, as is being outdoors and going up and down the yard.
Well, off to start the day. Hope yours is a really good one. Shelter tomorrow. Cheers..

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Sunny and 47 currently; the high will be 65.
Sounds like you had a very productive day, Penny, and happy dancing for you.
I have my allergy appointment this afternoon. That is all I have to do for today.
Looks like I'll be cooking for Easter. I don't want to do it but what's a mom for.
Have a great day!

Morning All,
Congratulations on your loss Penny, take it and keep it going. No matter if the pounds just visited you or have been around for a long time, a loss is a loss and should be celebrated. Had to go look up sweet potato vine – we northerners don’t see that up here. From what I read it said the flowers are rare anywhere but the Deep South, guess GA is deep enough.
So sad about Notradame. Like you Penny, I am hoping that it was not terrorism. Isn’t it terrible that it is one of the first things we think of these days? I hope no one gets the brilliant thought that it is a great terrorism activity. With the crazies going on, you never know.
Marilyn glad the chandelier install went well. Hope you continue to have good luck with all of your home projects.
Lin sounds like you are really miserable with all that you’ve got going on. Hoping “someone” sends you a break from it all and you can enjoy your spring. Glad to hear that DH is on the mend. You do have your hands full right now.
Connie glad you were spared any damage from the storms coming through. You mentioned that you have only very few sticks in your yard – mine is full of them. Yesterday’s 40—60 mph winds sent even more to the ground. There’s a tree in my neighbor’s back yard that has a 10 foot limb stuck in one of its higher branches. It’s sort of like an inverted “Y” upside down, caught in a living branch about 20 foot up. The tree is in my neighbor’s yard (he owns 28 acres, so I guess you can’t call it a yard) but some of its branches over hang into mine. It’s been up there for over a year and I was hoping the wind this time would bring it down and get it over with. Just looked out and it’s still swinging up there. I just hope when it does come down, Lily or I are not underneath it.
Phyl do you post to Face book? Would love to see some of the quilts you make. It’s a shame we can put photos directly here.
I spent some time in the back room yesterday, working on a miniature vase, mini black eyed susans and daisies. I’ll go back there again today and hopefully make some more progress. Don’t know where the idea came from, must be from Penny talking about all those spring flowers!
Time to get the day started. Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Good morning everyone
wow Penny you had a great gardening day. It must be so pretty. You are right that most of what I worry about won’t happen.
Today the termite guy will be here to collect down payment and go over all the prep for wood repair and tenting.
Today I plan on finishing fertilizing the last 16 plants out front. Then finishing cleaning out the dead looking Plumbago shrub on backyard fence. Has so many dead leaves from another shrub stuck in the middle of it. Will need to fertilize all the backyard plants soon.
All this moving around the house has lead to another 1/2 a pound lost. I seem to have more energy and feel better since getting off the sofa more. Still have a lot of gardening to do so hopefully will lose more.
We have definitely decided on getting inside fabric verticals with plastic channels the fabric slides into. Years ago before the French slider we had verticals and we liked them. Will wait until after roof is done and then focus on the best fabric choice. Want it to blend and not attract attention but have texture so looks pretty when closed.

I am off to the post office, no hurry as nothing goes out until 5pm but like to get it over with. I slept pretty good, no dreams anyway. Have been having nightmares so that is good thing!
It is chilly out there 45° out there and not to get much warmer. Not really sunshine right now but bright. Rain in forecast for all week. There was a small tornado in Ohio near me the other night. but it was a farming community and it was just an old out building and some trees. Saw pictures on news last night. Huge trees down in other areas just from the straight line winds but the one looked hollow in the middle and the newscaster mentioned they were dead trees mostly. Mother Nature clearing out things.
Congratulations on the 4# Penny and I know when I get to work out side a bit that that helps a lot. So far not time yet but am planning what I want to do, also need some good dirt, have potting soil but need the dirt with the fertilizer in it. My hanging baskets have that stuff in them, but I don't have to plant them as my guy at the local greenhouse does them for me.
Saw the flowering tulip trees are all out and if it rains now it knocks the flowers all off the tree. It is a short lived flowering time for them and so messy but sure pretty when in bloom. Also the crab apple trees have flowers as well. Also saw a few Easter Egg trees going up around town.
Mar, that is the kind of fabric verticals that I have and love them. I know you will too. Mine are an off white with just a splash of light blue through them.

Whoops. Post got sent before finishing.
I also am sad over the fire. At least not going in the direction of terrorism. With the yellow jacket protester issue in Paris, I thought it was their fault.
Hubby and I talked about the Paris excursion last night. He still wants to do the Paris on our own instead of a scheduled excursion. I do not and the excursion I wanted to take was to go inside Notre Dame tour. Now that the tour might not happen not sure if I will just try the Paris on our own. We are only in the city for 4 hours. I kinda want to skip Paris especially with the yellow jackets riots.
penny- congratulations on weight loss.
Lin- hope both of you feel better today
Connie- I am glad you enjoy your verticals. We had the verticals for years before we got the French wood slider. We liked them. They stack back clearing the door. We took them off because we loved the look of just the door. Privacy was not an issue because the shrubs were so thick and could not see through them. Sooo back to vertical blinds to solve this issue.

Mar, mine stack back so whole door shows too, and have a solid valence of same material above the door and when it is all closed it is a really finished look. I would like mine open all the time but when you know with a light on in kitchen my neighbors on the road behind me can see in it is kind of imperative to close them when the lights go on. LOL It is quite a ways and only low shrub between us but if I can see their house they can see mine. I have verticals for my big picture window in living room also. they are newer, love big windows and looking out!!!
Dayle, I have had a lot of big branches down most of the winter storms this year. The larger ones get hauled away by the yard guy but nice that I only had the smaller ones this time and can break them up and put in my big dumpster . there is a lot of heavier damage in areas around me but we lucked out here. was a tornado in Ohio about 30 miles from us. But you know tornado, hit and a miss. Thank goodness.

Congrats, penny. Great loss!
Mar, i have a friend who lives in Paris near the Eiffel tower. he never sees anything happening. the vest thing is one area. It is like Vienna when we heard about the crisis with refugees...we were all iver and saw nobody! Just going to the Louvre for a little but if it.and sitting at a cafe would be nice.
Coughed until almost 2, slept on three pillows finally. Dog was not pleased to be kept awake! So no museum work today. Hair cut is today later. I should manage that. DH is almost back to normal and has gone to the store for more Kleenex!
