Jim's 2 DSons came to visit today and I had them fix a couple things while they were here. So we're good for now. We are having a problem with the key for the scooter and I will have my own DSon look at it tomorrow. I will go with my DDIL and her maid of honor to have our toe nails done. We're gonna go about every 6 weeks. Nancy: We will be spending Easter Sunday at the beach house when we get there. I guess the traffic will be pretty bad for driving there but oh well....we will do OK. Sandy: I'll bet you will be happy when Debbie gets back to take care of Maybean. Especially when you don't feel well yourself. What's with the pain in your side? Remember strokes usually affect one side....and maybe you should be checked. Let's get into our circle of wagons now and sing by the fire "WE CAN DO THIS, YES WE CAN....WE CAN LOSE NEW POUNDS...MY THIN FRIENDS!"

I didn't get here today, but will tell you about the very good conference I went to - started at 8 a.m. It was a TRIAD conference - a consortium of senior citizen agencies along with law enforcement that serve the senior population. The first speaker was a weight management consultant who did the best job of outlining the history of why obesity is so rampant today. (will tell you about my body fat assessment another day.) Great information. Then we had a fitness manager from Valley Health who spoke on movement. His was the most complete explanation of why we need to move that I had never heard. All about keeping the fluids in the body moving to wash out wastes and keep the pain away. The third speaker was a mental health doctor from Valley Health who spoke on delirium and how it can go undiagnosed and can be fatal. Kathie, she talked a lot about the link between it and dementia. She said we need to keep days for day and nights for night, and to keep that as a goal. I may have missed her point about how all of this affects dementia. After lunch we had 2 law enforcement speaker who talked about senior safety and scams rampant now and aimed at the elderly. A great day - but too much food. They gave us breakfast at 8 and then served a pork barbecue luncheon at 11. When I got home t was time for Maundy Thursday service, dinner and then TV. A quick day.
Nancy, I agree that our brain can only hold onto how to operate a few of these devices. While I was at choir last night Bobby got this very shrill ringing in his ears (hearing aids in). The techs at Costco put an app on my phone to regulate his hearing aids, and somehow it is now linked to my phone so that when it rings, that's what happens. I will have to get help to disable that feature. I like my Fitbit, but the Omron did us all very well for a long time. I could put it back on now with new batteries. Between the phone, the iPad, the FitBit and the apps on the devices, my brain is maxed out.
Sandy, be vigilant if you continue not to feel well. There are so many weird new symptoms, but so many things that will help. That kitten is certainly used to you. I know you will be glad for many reasons when Debbie and Maija are home.
About the finances, we put Amy on our bank accounts so if needed she can pay our bills. Bobby has never done that, and told me that he hasn't a clue what to do. My next project is working on THE BOOK. I started showing AMy last weekend. Time for bed. Tomorrow is catch up day. We can do it.

Hi everyone thanks for the start Kathie. Sounds like you are going to enjoy your pedicure with your DDIL and her maid of honor. Happy to hear that you got help from Jim’s 2 sons. Hope your son can fix the key to the scooter. You are surrounded by talented people to help you. I can’t complain because I have my handy man. Enjoy the BH for Easter. Maybe the traffic will be lighter than usual.
Harriet it sounds like you had a great day and got a lot of information. It makes me feel glad that I keep moving. You also have a lot of things to charge each day. I’m sure I’ll get used to it and Bill gave me a plug in so I can plug them all in next to my computer in the morning so it’s handy not to have them plugged in all over the place. Glad you have Amy to help in case you need help with paying your bill.
Sandy so sorry you are still not 100%. Hope you get in to see your doctor.
Yesterday was a great day. I walked, shopped and danced. Bill came over and we went to Baker’s Square for the lunch I love. Then I remembered I forgot to get Evie her baseball tickets so instead of a lesson on my phone Bill left and I went back to Manor Park. It was great! They had Elvis for an hour. After I got the tickets I watched the show. He even came and held my cheeks and sang in my face. I would have loved to have been the woman he danced with. I did have that privilege once when he played here for our yearly picnic. He had on a royal blue outfit with so much silver detailing and a cape. I loved it! He has 3 more outfits on order-$9,500. He’ll get them in December. So it paid me to be forgetful. Today I’ll WI, dance, walk, library and live music at Hickory Park. Have a great Friday! Hugs and blessings to us all! See you later alligator

I've had this kind of not feeling well before and it has to do with too much sitting on the bus plus the diarrhea I got coming back. It usually takes a few days to get back to my normal and it is getting better. The pain is from my sacroiliac and again happens if I sit too much but while I have it Tylenol helps somewhat. So it's not a new thing just something I haven't had in a while. It's nothing very concerning, just a pain! 😳☹️
The he only thing going on today is taking Bridgette and Bailey for grooming. Yesterday Fred bought a new lawn mower and this one has a grass catcher attachment. The lawn mower itself was put together but he couldn't figure out how to put together the grass catcher. He gave me the instruction book and said look not much here to help! I then flipped it over and said you did read the rest of the instructions on this page, right? He mumbled and said of course I did! Well I knew he had not so then suggested we look for a video online and found one only to discover he had been doing everything upside down so I looked at the video and in a couple of minutes had it done!
