Becky, I think we are getting some of your storms today. We had a couple of thunderstorms, have had wind gusts up to 24 mph and lots of rain. Good that you managed to get yesterday's walks in. Did your temperatures cool overnight and, if so, will you be able to walk outside today? Wide shoes tend to be easier to find than larger sizes. Online might be your best option. When we lived in Austin, NW Austin (where we lived) had mainly property crimes. But NE Austin was a different story. I think you may be getting storms today, Kathy. Good day not to have to drive to work. We are having one of those days where we had to open the windows we could this morning to cool down the house but will have to put the heat back on before we go to bed tonight because it's supposed to be back into the low 40s. You are so right about the similarity between Pigeon Forge and the Disney World tourist strip. I don't go there any more often that I have to, which is a lot less now that I can stop at Publix in Knoxville instead of having to go there. I hope you're right about Osteo improvements. I think I'm getting stronger and my balance is improving. The numbers are just all over the place on the machines. Linda, how did you sleep last night? I'll bet like a rock given all those sleepless nights and all that coughing. I hope the codeine worked well for you. When ever I take it, it gives my laryngitis for some reason. I hate that you're back into the 90s already. I remember during Australia's summer that you mentioned them getting to 120 and hoping you didn't get there this summer. I hope not as well because that will probably put us several days into the low 100's. Hard to believe some people think climate change is a myth. LOL on the Easter eggs. What's on your agenda, Chele? Is Iggy working today? What's on your Easter menu? Liz, safe travels tomorrow. I hope you have today off. What's the word on PT? How are the pups? We have a good day to do inside things. I have a load of laundry in and worked some in the kitchen. I will probably steam kale later for dinner. Workout is already done Not sure what we'll get into this afternoon. Still cannot sit or lie at an angle, so no chair sleeping, but I can sleep on my right side and only wake up every two hours without a total fit of coughing. So with cough syrup, I slept last night. A lot of the wheezing is kept at bay by the inhaler. improvement.
DH is at the dr now as his nasty cold is hanging on after 12 days. It seems like he has a new one.
We are a lot of fun.

Good Afternoon Chicks and Blessings for Good Friday and/or Passover,
Kathy - those fires sound ominous and I hope they don't come near you. Clearing out your home office is probably like me contemplating clearing out the garage! Any plans for the weekend? Will you be spending Sun. with DM?
Chele - how are you feeling? How are the allergies doing? Are you happy with the new clothes? I am working today when most are not; much to do of course so I guess what else is new. We are sunny and warm right now in the city. I haven't been out but hope to get to the gourmet Italian store to pick up a few things I won't find at home.
Becky - were you able to find sandals for Sunday? We are supposed to have terrible rain starting tonight late and into tomorrow for most of the morning. I have done well with DSW online which I know won't help for Sunday. Have the temperatures been more moderate for you? How are the knees and your back doing?
Linda - dear heavens it sounds like you have been more than fighting the forces of sickness evil and then some! I hope the meds all kick in and provide you a modicum of relief sooner than later!! Please take care and try to rest and recuperate.
Karen - No days off for me, I have been at it non-stop this week and getting home fairly late to boot. Wally is feeling better as he is acting more himself although there is still the residual cough whenever he gets excited. Zoe's ears and eyes seem to be improving which is good. I am keeping her tail bandaged for now as I am not dealing with a bloody mess over and over. Are the "feets" continuing to heal and feel better? I believe I read that you had some real shoes on and did fairly well for a period of time in them. We are bringing gifts to DMIL tomorrow and if Gary wants me to pick up sandwiches or something else I can do so. I have a hair appt. at 10:30am and we will leave once I get back home. Given the weather is supposed to be stinky, that may end up being a good thing as it is supposed to clear in the afternoon. No plans for Sunday other than resting and grocery shopping. I need to figure out what I will make for Easter dinner. The knees are grumpy but the weather has not helped. They were poked and prodded when I went to my PT evaluation this week. I have exercises for homework and the therapist will start with some work around both knees to try to loosen up the muscles and tendons. She is strongly advocating that I get to an orthopedist to see what a second opinion might be for pain management and any other options besides knee surgery. Apparently I need to strengthen my calves, my glutes and my hips. Somehow I didn't realize that I've been in the brace for almost 5 months and that isn't good. I think I'm back in a weird stressed funk but I suppose that isn't anything too unusual either. Your garlic fries sound yummy.
I need to scoot and try to finish up and get out to the store. Wishing you all a safe and healing Friday! Ciao for now~

Karen, it's storming here right now. The weather radio has gone off 3 times already and we've had some strong gusts. Thanks for the eagle cam links. Grant or Glenda is looking right at the camera.
Liz, I don't even want to think about cleaning out the garage! At least I have enough room to get the car and trash bins in there. Cleaning out is a daunting task after so many years of accumulating. I hope the fires stay away too. Yes, we're heading to DM's on Sunday. I don't think anyone is coming from out of town this year, so it will just be us locals. Glad to hear Wally and Zoe are doing a bit better. Sorry to hear that work isn't letting up and that the knees have been grumpy. I wish you could find some relief for them. Safe travels tomorrow and hope you have a good trip.
Linda, hope you and Bob are doing better. That's no fun at all!
Waving to Becky and Chele.

Liz, I did PT for knees when i started shots a couple years ago, and strengthening those muscles always makes a surprisingly big difference for me. All the walking in Vancouver made the left knee pain quit and stay better! Go for it!

Karen Thanks for the start.I hope your storms aren't too bad.The winds have been gusty yesterday and today even though today was beautiful without a cloud in the sky.We had a low of 57 and I did get one walk in this morning and another one this afternoon but I am going to start walking shorter distances because walking against that brisk wind is too hard on my knees.I think tonight it's supposed to get down to 50 but a high in the low 80's tomorrow. It's good you are getting stronger and have better balance.
Linda I hope both of you feel better soon.Geez.That is too hot for April.
Liz I'm sorry you had to work today. No I didn't find any sandals for Sunday but I may have an old pair in the bottom of my closet somewhere. The temps are more seasonable. The winds have been rough and thank goodness we got 3" rain instead of the bad storms they predicted. My knees are hurting tonight after walking against that wind the last few days.I'm glad the pups seem to be improving.Safe travels tomorrow and I hope you can find something to help your joints.
Waves to Chele and Kathy.
