Happy Day All!
HAPPY DANCING FOR MAR! She’s down 2.2# since last WI. Good girl – all that yard work is paying off!
PeggySue – Charlie is not saying any of those things! From the direction he’s looking he’s saying one of two things, “I just heard Bella,” or “is there an animal about the cross the road down there where I can’t go?”
BettyJ – you might love working in a shelter. There are always lots of things to do that still let you interact with the dogs/cats. I can’t walk the dogs, so I feed them and occasionally do laundry. They have tons of towels and blankets for their beds, particularly in the winter. The best part is they want us to snuggle them and love on them so they don’t get too kennel crazy and so they like people. That’s the easy part! There are also all kinds of other jobs. Our shelter has a thrift shop, they have a couple people who send out thank you notes for donations and they have someone to check the voice mail to call the people back and then get them with the right person.
Lin - glad you went to the doc and hope this all works for you. Take it easy. Can you sleep in a recliner?
Connie - they always have trouble getting my blood. I've started drinking lots of water before I go to bed (yes, with the predictable results), and more and more as soon as I get up. That does help. Also helps with the urine test!
Went up the road and got a ton of tiger lilies. I got two batches planted down in what we call rock city, but my feet and back gave out. One more to go up near the house when the rain stops – IF the rain stops today. Then went to the grocery store and got a haircut, then back to put the wings on. I cheated and bought pre-cut coleslaw – and it was good – and microwave mac and cheese, also good. My haircut is awful. I should know not to go just before Easter when she's so busy, and in the late afternoon. It's very uneven and the bangs are WAY too short. Sigh.....
DS/DDIL were fun and DDIL and I went up to the same neighbor who gave her three HUGE clumps of tiger lilies. And there’re lots more. Want some? Come and get ‘em!
No plans today as it’s raining and my one foot is still hurting quite a bit. I think it’s arthritis…that or where I fell a couple weeks back.
Have a great day everyone! Cheers!

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Mostly cloudy today, however, we had a few peaks of sun for a while. The current temp. is 63; the high will be 71. Rain coming around 4pm and will continue thru the night and all dat Saturday.
We are awaiting the birth of a great niece. The due date is Tuesday and the doctors don't want her to go past the day. So Monday night if nothing happens before, she will be checking into the hospital and they will try to induce labor or do a c-section. Her name will be Faith Ann.
Todays plans are to clean up a little bit around here. Congrats to Mar!
Have a great day!

Good Morning All
Penny - lol at what Charlie is saying.
Mar - Congrats on the 2.2 loss. Activity is you.
Lin - So very sorry you're having so much misery with allergies. Hope the meds worked and you got some sleep.
Already been to Sams and put things away.
We will also get the storm going cross country to the east. Heavy rain, hail, tornado, straight line winds are all predicted.
Everyone have a Good Friday.

Good morning everyone
Hope the storms do not cause much trouble.
Thank you everyone for the congratulations on a little weight loss. It all adds up. I do think it’s getting off the sofa seems to be helping. Got in some walking yesterday while shopping.
Today I need to go grocery shopping. Will also vacuum and clean bathrooms today. Going to be 84 today so no yard work.
Tomorrow will be a high of 70 so will plant all 4 new plants and do a little weeding.
Our family on hubby’s side does not get together any more for Easter. Only person left on my side is my sister. It makes me sad. Years ago would be around 30 spending the day together. Now it’s just another normal day.
Emily- exciting baby news
Lin- are you feeling any better today?

Morning All!
Actually kind of warm outside, compared to the last few days and pretty humid as well. Storms coming up from the south east tonight are supposed to be brutal, so I am preparing to head to the bedroom fortress early to keep the princess calm and collected. Hope all my friends in the line of these storms stay safe and protected from any harm.
Emily exciting news about the baby. I mentioned earlier, I was an Easter baby, and given the nickname Bunny for most of my life. There are worse names to be called – love this little one’s name (Faith Ann). Wishing God’s blessing on her and her family.
Marilyn congratulations on your loss, especially after such a long time between weigh-ins. Hope the gardening activity continues to produce positive results.
Betty, so many invitations – were these all belated birthday celebrations? Sounds like you had a good day. You definitely deserve some of those!
Lin, hope the meds kicked in and you are feeling a bit better.
Not much planned for today. I’m going to work on taking off the remainder of the chair covers on the patio and then may be washing it down a bit. Not much else. Bought myself the next book in the Inspector Gamache series. The best part about finding an author you like, especially one whose been around for awhile is that there are all those unread books to catch up on!
Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Still cannot sit or lie at an angle, so no chair sleeping, but I can sleep on my right side and only wake up every two hours without a total fit of coughing. So with cough syrup, I slept last night. A lot of the wheezing is kept at bay by the inhaler. improvement.
DH is at the dr now as his nasty cold is hanging on after 12 days. It seems like he has a new one.
We are a lot of fun.

I have been picking up clutter this morning, while I was getting ready to go to lunch with my friends. Lunch was good and they had things to do so we didn't linger long. I just enjoy the time we did have together. dreary today and we did get some sprinkles early this morning but nothing after that. Did hear heavier rain tonight and tomorrow.
Want to get those plants in the ground before I kill them all. I tend to do that. Do NOT have a green thumb at all and always surprised when my stuff does grow. Mother Nature not me for sure.
wore my new Clark loafers today. Pretty comfortable. they are a braided look medium brown and a light shade almost yellow. Looked nice with my new tan slacks.
congrats to Mar for her weight loss of 2.2 lbs. I am keeping off the weight I have lost in the last 2 months just not losing anymore. maybe when I can get out side more, too. See I need to straighten up the brick area where I park the dumpster beside the garage. That might be a fun job. NOT!! but going to tackle it anyway. I do have some sand to set them in. But will have to level off the dirt first. Just about 10 bricks need done. I do like to work outdoors.
Used to have some tiger lily around my mail box at my old house and those things grow anywhere. Very hearty. I swear they can grow where there is just stones along the road!! We put them around the clothes line poles as well. Free and easy when you are broke!! those were the days.
Lin hope you and DH feel better soon. My DD#2 is dealing with major spring allergies right now and feeling miserable and very tired. She loves working outdoors in all her plants and flowers and sure pays for it every day. Comes home from work and seems like that is the worst time of day for allergies.

Thanks Phyl...I have a foam wedge but also a series of pillows. It is still a slant , so stuff pools in the throat. Today I can lean back in a chair a while, so things are getting better.
DH has a sleep number bed that he can raise because of HERD. That helps him. Dr says he has an acute upper resp. infection. The antihistamine and Z pack should deal with that.

Dayle the flowers are fantastic! (with credits to Lin for posting them)! I am continuously amazed at what you are able to create.
I've been outside cleaning up a flower bed and cuttin off extra aspen branches. Funny ... the same amount of effort inside would hurt and have me complaining. Outside it's fun. Blue sky, a breeze and temperature at 70 degrees. The woofers were out with me and came in tired and ready for a nap. I should get a new pedometer. My number of steps is increasing.
I bought a new set of phones for the landline. It's not working, so the problem is evidently outside the house. The new phones are also technically too advanced for the house. I guess we need updating whether we want to or not! Who knew?
