Happy Day All!
Lin - I'm so happy you're feeling a bit better. Hopefully the trend continues and picks up speed. That's really the pits when your dog thinks you're boring! Bet he still snuggles you, though.
Mar - Wow....you have a lot of trash this week! Glad you like the results.
Phyl - eating out twice in one day - that's better than leftovers - not having to cook.
Emily - love the name Faith Ann. Hope she decides to come on her own.
PeggySue - did you get the storms?
Dayle - feels great to work outside, doesn't it? So glad you're enjoying Inspector Gamache. I will always love Lin for introducing him to me!
Connie - your comment about the hardiness of tiger lilies made me think of what Don, the man who owned the nursery that just closed said about limelight hydrangeas. He said I could drag them behind my car all the way home and they'd still flourish! Sure do miss him and his family this year! Good luck with the bricks - you can do it for sure.
Sue - good to hear you are out and enjoying your yard. I agree - I'd rather work in the yard for an hour than dust for 10 minutes! Did you take a nap with the pups?
Another lazy day here yesterday with all the rain. Didn’t even leave the cabin. Decided to do laundry before the weekend and make egg salad for lunch. Otherwise it was leftovers. Oops – did leave the cabin to go to the neighbor’s house for some celery. Forgot about that. Got some Bella loving in return for rubbing in her ears. She sits in front of me and just plops her chin on my chest.
It’s 40 here this AM. Can’t believe it! Still rainy and damp. Nothing on tap for today except a bit of ironing and checking out our Easter outfits for tomorrow. If they don’t work for us, it’s off to the store – but I doubt that. We are who we are. And that’s not really fancy country club people. But, we also don’t want to embarrass DGD.
We do have to leave early to pick up DS and head to Atlanta (Roswell) in the AM. DDIL is going down tonight when she gets off work. So – please have a blessed Easter Sunday/Passover, whatever your religion, and I hope you can spend it with someone you love, or share phone calls with them. But then, I wish that for you all every day.
Cheers!

Good morning everyone
Had a good night sleep but woke up tired. All this moving around might be catching up to me. I do need to get the 4 plants into the yard anyway.
Be back in a little bit.

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Rained all night and will continue today. Currently it's 61; the high for today will be 65.
Have been doing some cleaning so that my house looks good for Easter. Dyed a dozen eggs last night so that my boys will see colorful Easter things around my house.
I forget who asked but TJ and his family have dinner at home. His other grandparents live with them and she always on holidays wants to cook and eat at home. Her son and his girlfriend come and her sister and her husband come also. So Tom will not be here. Sometimes he comes for dessert but will not be running around this year.
Have to get busy with the vacuum.
Have a great day!

Hello again,
Penny- sounds like you will have a nice Easter celebration. Enjoy
Question? Have any of you had your credit frozen with all three credit bureaus? We are going to do it this weekend. It’s free and can be temporarily unfrozen if needing a credit check for a loan or other reasons. We want to prevent identity fraud from a burglar getting access to our old tax returns in our file boxes. Seems to be an issue and burglars are looking for them in home burglaries.
We we want this done now because the fumigation people will be in our home without us there. Also there is a chance of home getting robbed while tent is on. Anything of value the burglar will want will be in safe or taken out during fumigation.

Morning All!
Beautiful misty rain outside right now – a real April shower. Don’t know what it did last night while I was sleeping, but for now, kind of pretty.
The landscaper came yesterday and did spring cleanup and dumped a few yards of topsoil in the back yard where it was needed. Over the years I’ve had trees cut down for one reason or another and their roots finally started to break down. I had some major gullies out there. Between those and Lily’s mole digging, the back yard was an accident waiting to happen. After spreading it where needed, they seeded the areas, hopefully the grass will take before the birds get to eat it. Can’t tell you how excited I got over a few cubic yards of dirt! Small pleasures! Luckily I had finished taking off all the furniture covers, so the guys were able to blow the leaf debris off the deck as well. Maybe some time next week, I’ll get out there and power wash it clean. I’m getting my spring on, and totally enjoying it.
Sounds like everyone is busy getting ready or preparing to go out for the holiday. Peggy Sue, hope you get a visit from DGS. Emily colored eggs and everything! Penny have a great time tomorrow!
I didn’t buy any Easter candy this year on purpose. Usually I go for a big jar of Jelly Belly jellybeans (popcorn is my favorite), but didn’t want the temptation in the house.
Hope everyone enjoys their Easter/Passover celebrations!
Dayle

I am feeling better about tomorrow. my DGS said to come to their house first and since buffet time is 3pm we will hang out with them for awhile for some time alone with them. It has been forever since I have seen them so now I am good. Know my DD is happy about the plan as well. I had some stuff for DGS that I have been storing for awhile but will wait now since it looks they will have their own home my end of May. He hates renting! Don't want to take stuff in and then they have to move it again. Not even sure he wants any of it but not up to me to toss.
It is 69° and we missed the storm, just had our usual spring rain, which we get plenty of that. I am going to plant the 2 browneyed susans today. will take a second as she gave me a big pile of dirt with them. Just a hole and pop in. Hope all her green thumb talent came with them. I really like these flowers.
Your tenting people should be Bonded, Mar. I really think you are a worrier. but then you know your area and I guess maybe have reason to. but I worry about you!! Hope you will not get sick with all this stuff going on. Take a deep breath and do remember to breathe. To answer your question no I have not done that with credit companies. I can freeze any of my credit cards at any time if I want to but tried it one year with the one I took to Florida and it was a pain to do that. Now just call my credit card company and tell them I am going out of state for 3 weeks so they don't freeze it. Which they will if they think there is a strange credit trying to get through. I have notices if it is used online or on phone . You can do alot of that if you check out the security with each card. Set it up for yourself.
Dayle , my lawn guy did that last year to the one area where there was tree cut down years ago. It looks so nice and after the winter all the grass looks really good out there. We never did plant any grass seed there as he thought he might need one more load of top soil this year after it settled and will see what he thinks. He is the one that was getting lost in that area when he mowed. LOL Not really but was obvious.

Yes, Micki stays close, but looks at me like, can we do something? Think the rescue inhailer is making things worse and I need to stop it. It sets off a coughing fit and makes wheezing worse even with cough syrup. Things get better hours afterward. It seems it doesn't work for everyone . Just exhausted after coughing, even with sleep. Dr said 4 days I would be fine. hoping.
DH sounds better today after starting antibiotics yesterday. Needless to say we are staying home!

Connie- yes the fumigation company is bonded and our home owners insurance covers it also. Not worried about stuff stolen. It’s the information on our old tax returns and bank statements that can be used in identity fraud. We have it boxed and in a metal file cabinet that is pretty easy to get into.
We do not live in a high crime area. It’s the tenting of the house that is the concern. Burglars enter the tented home during the night with gas masks on and go through and see what they can take. Unbelievable this happens. Police department suggested the credit freeze. They will also patrol occasionally.
On the fumigation contract it says they are not responsible for theft, roof damage or landscaping damage. Our daughter says theft does happen but not all the time. It sucks.
By implimenting a credit freeze with all 3 credit bureaus stops it cold. This is different than fraud warnings on credit cards. This eliminates the capability to have loans or credit openend in your name.
I do do worry a lot but this is a true issue.

Mar, get it, thanks for your explanation. Mar where are your going when they tent the house, how long does it take before you can get back in. Can you take the metal thing with you or too heavy to move? Guess you need something else to keep things in. ?? So sorry you have to worry about all this stuff. My DGD had her SS number stolen and guy tried to buy a car with it but it was caught right away and it was taken care of in couple days. She was not responsible for anything at all. His loan had been turned down at the time. It was reported to police right away and she said she didn't get a chance to worry about it. So yes I do know these things happen but they don't have a clue how he got her SS number, think it was a random number he chose. Didn't even hack into anything.
Life is sure weird these days. Hey you can come stay with me and help me with my spring landscaping. you are so much better at that then I am. My hands are dirty. huge lawn bag is full and my back aches already and not even put a dent in the work.. One thing is done but see several others I want to do. Plus have some weird weeds that grow tall and flower and have never had them before. I did pull them all out. It was easy as it is really wet out there. Only thing I am going to do now is put the cage around the Peonies, they have buds on them already. Wow spring started with a bang!!

Taking a break. Got the 4 plants into the ground. Ran out of energy to do any weeding. It’s not super bad. Will do it tomorrow morning while it is still cool.
We are going to a play tonight at the local college. It’s always fun.
Lin- keeping fingers crossed both of you feel better today
Dayle- your dirt filling up the holes will be great.
Connie- so sorry your daughter has SS number used. In 1980 someone bought furniture using my name and social security number. Got it cleared up quickly.
Our filing cabinet is a legal size 5 drawer metal cabinet. Definitely cannot be moved. But it does not have a lock. I saw online there is one we could have installed on it. But after the credit freeze I won’t worry about anything in there. Nothing anyone can do with it.
The tent will be on for 3 nights.
