WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C96D16, 24 points and 1169 calories + isolated Chinese takeout, 4 water
A little sloppy today. It's 1:45 and I can't sleep so am back at the computer after treating myself to a slice of 647 with b&b and a slice of Bordon't FF cheese. Dinner wasn't bad. Half of the Triple Delight with no rice so not much gravy and 1/2 egg roll with duck sauce. A new aide tomorrow so I'll be training her therefore no table tennis. I will do my beginners line dancing but probably not much more exercise unless I can get in a walk after my late afternoon manicure. My life is on hold and will remain so until we get set with an acceptable aide and until my computer is set up.

23 points 1659 calories 20+ APs
Today is Jacksonβs 18th birthday! Tonight will be isolated Panda Express and ice cream cake. Iβm looking forward to my run this mornjng; itβs 57Β° which is ideal. I scheduled my usual 8:00 for later so I could get it in before the rain.
Nancy, life will be back to normal before you know it. I hope you were able to get some sleep. Your recliner eating was a drop in the bucket compared to what you used to eat!

Lori - The substitute aide seems very good, a real hard worker and so anxious to please. She worked at a local hospital as a hospice nurse for 10 years. She was also a hair dresser at one time and did a comb out for me today. Ed seems pleased as well. Now we'll have to decide which one will be permanent. Yep the weather is gorgeous today. Unfortunately I was too busy to take advantage. You're doing great with the strength training. I wish I could get in that mindset.
