WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C96D19, 19 points, 4 rollovers, 1197 calories, 10,085 steps
walk to and from clubhouse, table tennis, long walk with friend twice around community.
I'm close to obtaining 9 free boxes of Daily Harvest as WW rewards. This will be my second gift. I have to figure out which ones are point friendly and without caffeine. And I have to figure out where they will fit in our freezer.

TGIF!
33 points 1933 calories 24 APs
I drove to one of the bike paths nearby yesterday. As I got close, I noticed the sky was getting dark. I checked the radar and it looked clear, but that was not the case. Sprinkles started during the first mile. I went a little over two miles, saw the rain wasnβt letting up, and turned around. It got slippery. The bike slid out from under me as I was getting ready to cross an intersection. The bike went down but I stayed upright. I was glad to make it back.
High point/calorie day yesterday. I plan to do better today.
Nancy, is Daily Harvest the fruit/veggie bowls and smoothies? Iβve looked at them online, and I think Target has a few of the flavors now.
Lori, I love cereal. Youβre right, sometimes we need to enjoy what we really want. Constant deprivation will only backfire.

Jan - Yes that's it. Only 3 of the smoothies are appealing to me - none of the veggie bowls. But heck, it's free, so I might as well give it a try. When I say appealing, I mean ingredients, points, and caffeine free. I get 9, so I'll get three of each of those. What a relief that you weren't hurt. Do you remember Theresa? I think she was in Connecticut. When she reported that she went over the handle bars, I gave my bike away. You are obviously braver by far than I. Just be careful please.

Nancy, yes it took years of experimenting, learning, starting over, never giving up but it finally clicked - so loving maintenance!! Baby steps do add up!!! Interesting about the Daily Harvest will be interested to see how you like it!!
Jan, So glad your okay...your having way too many bike accidents, please be careful out there. Jan, before WW I use to think a bowl of cereal was a healthy low cal choice and add a big one everyday after school. It was an eye opener to realize who many calories it adds up to...of course, I never ate a serving size and believe me it wasn't the better choice ones..lol Now at least when I want a bowl, it's better choices and better milk choice - still can add up calorie wise....I was just grateful I felt like a big bowl of cereal instead of big bowl of ice cream...lol
This weekend should be low key and no real food challenges. I want to have a strong eating weekend since we leave next Saturday for Texas!!

Lori - Have you tried chocolate hummus? 1 T is a lot for 1 pt and 25 calories. I have it every now and then with a banana (like a dip) for breakfast. At the ww meeting they suggested 1 tsp pnb and 1 tsp (zero points) choc. humus on a slice of 647. I liked that too. Sort of like Reese's pnb cups. I also picked up a tray of the Costco rollups - 122 calories and 4 pts each. Have you had them? Really good and they seem to hold up well in the fridge if I have one a day. As for the cereal, I got away from the Kashi Heart to Heart for some reason. I have, though, been having 1/2 cup Kix with a banana and 1/2 cup FF milk for breakfast every now and then or even a snack. Corn on the cob has become another staple since it became zero points. And of course my 2 or 3 pt Enlightened bars have become a standard evening snack. Just me sharing some ideas <g>.
