Hubby did finally manage to find someone who was able to figure out why there was no water coming to our house/village and get things fixed - hooray! Today there should be a walk since I can take a shower. I need to deal wiIth leftovers and get rid of more of them if hubby doesn't want them and I won't eat them.
CHERRY: Riding on a train sounds so civilized. I am sorry you had a 1.5 hour delay but it must have been nice to get up and walk around during the delays. You must have been ready for bed when you finally got everything inside and the cat settled back in again!
BEVERLY: NFL draft is held near you? I had no idea! I don't think I could ever leave a maid without supervision living where I do...have had a thief or two who cleaned and only realized after items were taken.
LYNN: What an interesting lineup of places you will see on your cruise! What will your daughter have to wear to work as a practitioner? I recommend comfy shoes...even if they are not beautiful!
PAM: I am sorry your hubby is not well and that the doctors have not yet found what is causing his problems. Fingers crossed they will know soon and have a treatment in place.

Good morning. It is nice to ride the train. My mom and I would sometimes take the train to visit my grandparents when I was a child, about a 4 hour ride. This was when we still had steam engines. I've always loved hearing the whistle of the steam engines. It sends chills down my spine. When I was in high school my girlfriend and I took the train to Minot for the basketball tournaments. I don't think we went to a single game, but we stayed in a hotel downtown and shopped and window shopped. On the way down we explored the train from one end to the other and we went to the dining car and had tea, toast, and honey. We felt so sophisticated. Later when she was going to college and I was working we'd take the train and go visit each other on weekends sometimes. It was about a 2 hour ride.
Yesterday when I picked up my mail, I found my neighbor's mail among my own. So I went up and took their mail to them and had coffee. Didn't get much of anything done that I had planned to do, but I did get some necessary financial paperwork done that was waiting for me when I got home. Today I'm going to plant my strawberry plants in pots. Among other things.
Have a nice day, beaches.

Good morning friends,
Cathy, glad you finally have water!! I am in the process of cleaning out my fridge & getting ready to leave tomorrow. The NFL draft is being held in Nashville this year. They go from city to city, a different place every year. DS#2 went to the draft last night, he said it was wild!! Big party! Taylor Swift was there, Tim McGraw, Robin Roberts from Good Morning America, & hosts of other celebs. Lots of free concerts all over town, the biggest party that Nashville has ever hosted & it is to go on all weekend.
We have to get out & take BIL & SIL to the airport in the midst of all this. They are flying down to FL today, we are driving down tomorrow, they can't endure the long car rides because of health issues. We prefer to drive, it works out , because when we get there, we have our car with us, it saves having to rent one.
Cherry, your train ride sound great!! I love trains.
Lynn, your cruise sounds great! I have never been to Europe, guess I never will at this stage of the game.
Pam, hope hubby feels better, nothing worse than a sick DH.
Have to get moving, have a great day all!

Cathy...let there be water!! SO glad you can shower again! Bev...enjoy your trip!! A friend of mine is in Nashville...says traffic is terrible. Cherry...I love train trips too! Such fun!! Pam...hope all goes well with DH!!
Cathy, my daughter had to wear regular clothes...dressed up though...They do not wear white jackets there for some reason. She usually wears dresses.
Gloomy today and rainy. I have to find another spot for my meeting on Tuesday on very short notice....I hope all works out. I have calls and emails in!! Fingers crossed.
Have a great day...enjoy...

Late check in. Itβs been a crazy day. Last night there was a bad accident on a nearby freeway. I had a hair appt for cut and color this morning so woke up trying to decide the best way for me to get there without using the free way. I finally got there fine but realized I didnβt have my phone. Meanwhile at home dh had scheduled a checkup of our AC. Long story short, theyβre still working on it, so the dog and I are in the bedroom. Not what Iβd planned, but weβll be happy to have working AC this summer.
Have a great evening everyone.
