What do you think about the DNC doubling down on the rules for the 3rd and 4th debates? I think it's probably a good idea. Some candidates will probably have dropped out by then anyway. I want to hear candidates that have a real chance, and by that point if they aren't polling at least 2% and getting good donations they likely don't have any possibility of getting the nomination. Some candidates are already starting to take shots at other candidates which I completely understand their need to do if they're serious about the nomination, but the less negativity we can have the better IMO.
Off to take DGS to baseball camp from 9-11:30 while DGD and I run errands and go to the grocery store. Will check back later . . .

It's time...Start Impeachment inquiries. After hearing Mueller this morning, I think Mueller is sending a message & its time for Congress to do its job. Just do it. I think History will be kind looking back on this time IF Congress does what it was meant to do in cases like this. You know as well as I do, the Republicans would have had someone tarred & feathered by now if it was a Democratic Prez doing what JA is.......or even if it wasn't as serious & dangerous as what JA is doing to this country. JMHO....

I agree Congress has the legal and moral burden to impeach. My fear is that it will be a total waste of time as the Republican Senate will make it a gesture only. I am of two minds which way to go. I don't think it will change voters' minds on either side, so I suppose impeachment would be the right thing to do. I used to think it would be political suicide for Democrats as far as the 2020 election goes, but I'm starting to come around.

The Republicans are already making sure its a total waste of time by ignoring subpoenas. I too worry about the election next year & the impact on Dems if they go forward, but, jeez, does the House just let JA get away with this. I really hope most of the Dem candidates stay clear of getting in the mud with JA. Just stick to the issues, have a plan on those issues, don't get nasty with the other Dem candidates, let the Impeachment proceedings move forward wisely & responsibly & still do the House business regarding legislation & try some bipartisan ship on some of these bills. Kind of asking a lot, right...LOL

JA keeps saying he's not afraid of Impeachment. I think he is.

I missed hearing Mueller this morning. Darn it! I'm about to go read the transcript, and I have heard commentators now talking about it. Judging from what I am hearing I don't see how Democrats have any choice left but to impeach. Congress has to maintain the integrity of their branch of government, and that is clearly their mandate IMO. I'll be very surprised if Republicans in the Senate convict, but I don't see any choice but to start the process. Like lani, I have been afraid to start impeachment for fear it will backfire in the election, but after Mueller's statement (or what I have heard he said) it seems like there's no other choice. Congress has a duty, and politics are not supposed to play a role in that, but of course, only a fool would think they don't. Sometimes you just have to stand up for what is right no matter what and let the chips fall where they may. I agree that I think the JA is scared. Maybe not that the Republican Senate will convict, but that enough will be made public that he'll lose the election AND that New York will put him in jail after he's out of office.

On CNN they played side by side comments from Barr's April statement & Mueller's today. They were on the same subjects & it was so clearly obvious the difference in the two. Barr misled the public big time!!

IMO, Barr should be impeached or whatever has to be done to remove him from office, but I guess one thing at a time. I have no respect for any of these JA enablers and "cover-uppers" (I know, not a word. LOL!)

We have known for a long time now that Russia clearly interfered in the election, and yet very little is being done to prevent this from happening again. That in and of itself is incomprehensible. The only reason we aren't doing anything is because this JA's ego is too fragile to handle it, and Republicans are too afraid of his ranting tweets to incur his wrath. They're too desperate to hang on to their power to take a chance on losing it, and yet what good is their power? They're doing nothing with it except maybe lining their own pockets.

Someone told me about a bumper sticker they saw that read, "Pray for Trump. Psalm 109:8"
I checked it out.
It reads, "Let his days be few; let another take his office."

I certainly want another to take his office, and I don't mean Mike Pence!

See, I think it's being ignored (Russian interference) because it helped DT get elected and they're hoping it will happen again.
