There has been a lot of talk about the difficulty in seeing the GOT episodes because they are too dark. Here are some links that show parts that are brighter. I really prefer the brighter versions so I can see the faces and their emotions better. crypt sceneOpening sceneCersi theoryDragon scene

If you are able to change the settings on your TV picture it should help. I find that the default energy-saver setting on my TV (Samsung 4K) looks too dull, even with shows that are not as dark as the GoT episode. On my set I switch it to "Dynamic" and the difference is amazing.
GoT was fine on my set (dark but not totally obscured) although my daughter complained about feeling like she was watching a black screen for most of the show.

It was so dark! I know they spent a lot of time and $$ doing that episode, so it's a shame it was really awful to watch because of the darkness.
No spoiler but man - it was a great episode other than that lol

Really good episode, some surprises! This is not really a spoiler, it has to do with foreshadowing from the episode last season at the Dragonpit when they had their meeting with Cersei - or what I think is foreshadowing: Daenerys Targaryen: I know. I respect what you did. Wish you hadn't done it, but I respect it. This place was the beginning of the end for my family.
Zaldrīzes buzdari iksos daor. "A dragon is not a slave".
They were terrifying, extraordinary.
They filled people with wonder and awe, and we locked them in here.
They wasted away.
They grew small.
And we grew small, as well.
We weren't extraordinary without them. We were just like everyone else. GoT season 7 wiki

Ok this annoys me lol. Dany: NO. You have not been "groomed for this" "wanted the iron throne" all your life -your BROTHER did - you were just a "brood mare" to get Khal Drogo. It wasn't until Drogo killed Viserys that you decided you wanted it.

Last night's episode was just so wrong, in so many ways.
WTH.

Agreed... Varys was not wrong about her. Grayworm surprised me, but I guess he's dealing with his grief. Glad to see Urion get his in the end. I was hoping Jamie would live lol I think Dani will have Tyrion killed. I can see Jon being king and Arya being his hand. One more episode to go, it should be interesting.

Was anyone else disappointed that Ceresi didn't get the death she deserved??? I mean, she wronged so many people - and she got to die in her lover's arms. That was so disappointing and just so wrong!
I don't think Dany will end up on the throne - she'll die (I've never thought she'd end up there, too obvious) I don't believe Jon will get there either (another too obvious choice) From episode 1 - Sansa was groomed to be Queen (Joffrey)...she may be Queen over all or the wife to the King...but somehow she's gonna get there! I think Arya will die- she may kill Dany but would they give her 2 major deaths (Night king and Dany)? But I feel her training as a Faceless person will play into it or that whole storyline serves no purpose. Gendry could end up on the throne. Dany legitimized him and well, he now has a claim! He's a Barathenon! I've always thought Tyrion was a Targaryen since he could touch the dragons when he released them from the dungeon...So maybe he and Sansa? I'm wondering if the last dragon will survive? I can see Dany using it to kill Jon....but it won't because, well Jon's a Targaryen. But they may have to take out the dragon to kill Dany.
So many questions for only one episode!!

Random thoughts. So many ways to go with this!!
I didn't even think about the Gendry aspect. King Gendry with Queen Arya at his side?
Dany has to go. I am thinking Jon does her in and the dragon will stay with him because he is a Targaryan. Jon doesn't want the throne so I think he will be fine with Gendry and Arya as king and queen.
Tyrion...a Hand to King Gendry?
And hold on---don't count Cersei and Jamie out yet. We haven't seen their bodies. Could be one of those freak things where they end up in a pocket under some crossed columns. It could happen. I wish they would have had Arya do the faceless trick and come into the castle as Jamie and...you can guess the rest.
Really going to miss The Hound and Varys.
As far as the story goes they blew all the character development out of the water with this episode. Jamie reverts to type after many episodes of evolving into a somewhat decent human being and Dany abruptly turns into a woman-and-baby-killing B***h of the Universe after being fairly consistently a champion of the underdog.
Last week's Jamie/Brienne hookup was a head-scratcher too. Ditto for the Wildlings heading back up to the Real North and ditching the King's Landing party. HUH??
I hope next week's finale is more satisfying than these last few episodes or a good portion of the world's population is going to majorly bummed on Monday morning.
