WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C97D4, 16 points, 4 rollovers, 8 water, 1303 calories
Just line dancing today
This was wierd. I planned out tomorrow's food and it came came to 1200 calories on the button. That was a first. Usually I plan the day and then make adjustments up or down to arrive at the 1200 or so. Also the higher calories today are because I got an urge after TV for a slice of rye bread with a tblsp whipped cream cheese. Unusual for me, but it did the job.
Kathy - Where art thou???

29 points 1877 calories 23+ APs (run, interval class, 39 minute step class, 2 senior classes)
Higher points and calories because I enjoyed a container of Chilly Cow ice cream. Malted vanilla chocolate covered pretzel—sounded better than it was. It was 83° here yesterday—so nice! Shopping trip planned with Alex this afternoon. Looking forward to spending time with him.
I had a nice surprise yesterday. I put my hair up in a clip and I took a selfie to see how it looked from the back. (I need to get a hand mirror.) I was very pleasantly surprised at how my upper back and shoulders looked....toned and muscular :-)
Lori, packing clothes for a trip, exciting but such a pain. Your week is winding down!
Nancy, it’s funny when numbers come out like that, isn’t it? Nice job with the rye bread. Isn’t it a relief that it didn’t lead to more?

Yesterday was a good day. Lots accomplished at work, clothes ready, food and exercise went well!
Nancy, That goes to show you are learning what makes up 1200 calories - way to go!! I think that's why I've been doing so well without counting and just making good choices. Of course, I do go back to it when I feel myself being loosey goosey....
Jan, The chilly cow did sound really good - glad you gave a review...I may just get some plain vanilla (or freeze vanilla yogurt) and add a chopped chocolate covered pretzel (still have some left from Christmas)... 83 degrees sounds wonderful...it was chilly here yesterday, hopefully we'll get the warmer weather today. Enjoy your shopping trip with Alex!! I am so looking forward to just hanging out with DD and DS... You need to look at yourself more often...lol With all your awesome activity you have to be toned and muscular!!! I'm so happy to see a little (very little) definition in my arms - it kind of camouflages the under arm issue...lol
Have a great day!
