Today we went to the bank and the dollar store and the grocery store and the cigarette store. All of the things I haven't taken the time to do. So we are done now! - hooray! Nancy: The sick horse is doing better but was "oiled" so she should be poo-ing out oil by now and she is not...but she seems to be feeling better and her temperature is normal. I'm already up over 7,000 steps so I'll probably make 8,000 again today like I did yesterday. It has been in the 70's all day and no rain today. Sandy: I would guess that the pork chops would work in the crock pot. Brown them first and then put in one little package of SF applesauce for each chop and grate some onions into the pot too. Give it a try!...and let me know. I will say that my new stove has a low temp for stewing that works well here. I add a little water too but not too much or the applesauce thins out too much. Maybe look up a pork chop recipe in a crock pot cookbook so you would know how long to cook them. We also had a rotisserie chicken last week so didn't buy one this week either. Harriet: Glad you are having a good trip and glad Bobby wants out...LOL. Let's get into our circle of wagons now and sing by the fire "WE CAN DO THIS, YES WE CAN...WE CAN LOSE NEW POUNDS...MY THIN FRIENDS!"

Hi everyone thanks for the start Kathie. You sure got a lot done yesterday. Good for you! Happy to hear that your horse is much better. I’m jealous of your 70 degrees and no rain. We are supposed to get to 50 today but we’ll still have rain so no sun. It’s 40 now. I’ll have to try the pork chops in my slow cooker. I don’t think I’ll add water.
Sandy I’m glad that I didn’t get any thunder or lightning. I hate it here being on the 3rd floor it sounds so loud. Were the tires a good price at Costco? I’ll have to check with Bill and see if he can get me 2 there. Hope you enjoy your haircut.
Harriet hope you find an atlas. Glad that Bobby is on the move.
Today is WI day. I had 12563 steps yesterday. I only got a walk in and then the library. It was such a chilly day! I did get some Poirot mysteries and watched them. I went to the podiatrist and she agreed that I wear the brace on my ankle for walking and dancing. She is a typical midwesterner always looking for a bargain. She found a house to rent in Palm Springs. They went with another couple to cut the price in half. I go back again in August right before my trip to NJ. Today I’ll go to WI, walk, dance and then the live music at Hickory Park. I would like to find someone to go with me tonight to see Joe Kadlac. He’s at a corner bar close to me. Have a great Friday! Hugs and blessings to us all! See you later

Got to Costco yesterday between rain downpours and we walked around the store for 45 minutes and tried a few samples but even though there were two things I really liked I also knew if I bought them I would not stop eating them so used self control and enjoyed the sample but did not buy! In fact all I bought was coffee and a variety pack of ziploc bags. By then the tires had been put on the car and they were just backing the car out of the bay. We are to bring it back after 25 miles for a safety check and to be sure everything is still tight and nothing loose and then at 7,000 take it in for tire rotation. All this was included in the price. One thing that surprised us was reading the tires are filled with nitrogen, not air so I think that means they have to fill the tires when they get low as I don't think gas stations have nitrogen. But Fred said he'll ask when he takes it back after we put on the 25 miles which won't take long! But even that is covered for the life of the tire.
Nancy four Michelin tires for our Volvo came to right around $667 and I think the sale is only on until today but they'll probably have another sale for Memorial Day.
Also got my haircut and when she scheduled my next cut it was for the last week of May which also was the start of June! So I took a Saturday appointment on June 1st as we had just received Maija's graduation announcement and Debbie has an open house planned for her that day from 3-6 so will have my hair done the same day. Now Fred was standing right next to me when my stylist said so Saturday June 1st will work? And I said yes. As we were leaving he was like well I guess I can give up golf that morning and I said why? He said so I can take you! I reminded him I am perfectly capable of driving myself and he commented but that's a Saturday and traffic might be heavy. When I had gotten there and walked in my stylist said oh he dropped you off? I said yeh he wanted to run a few errands. The lady in her chair said oh you don't drive? I said oh I do but you wouldn't know it especially when I come here! Then my stylist said I think he brings you because he loves sitting here and hearing all the gossip! I think she's right!
Today we have Mother's Day cards to get for Debbie and our daughters in law. I told Fred I really don't feel like sending to the daughters in law as I just don't feel the same towards either one. Cindy because of the loan and Tracy because the only way we know what's going on with our grandsons is on Facebook and at every event, even one signing to play baseball at a university, her parents are in the pictures but we never even know ahead of time or invited to be given the opportunity to go there to participate. That's why for the oldest one's graduation we will arrive Saturday afternoon, graduation is Sunday afternoon and we will drive home Monday. On the Sunday we won't even join up with them until we find a church to go to Mass at. Our son left the Catholic church when he married and joined the Lutheran church as that was her religion so we never go to church with them.
But also today I need to get some macaroni salad or potato salad as we're fixing brats. Fred will also take Debbie to Lowe's to buy her a lawnmower for Mother's Day. I know that sounds like a strange gift but she needs one and was thrilled when he said that would be our gift.
