I'm IN. Quiet morning, so far. I'm drinking my first cup of coffee and planning my day. DH gets his eye checked after getting the lens zapped on Friday. No rain today but that will be coming later this week.

Good morning.
DH has his final cardiac rehab today. 36 sessions, done. He doesn't feel like he got much out of it at all but he saw it through.
It looks like it will be a good day to attack some outside chores. The geraniums that I overwintered in the basement have sent out tiny red blooms and need to be cleaned up and put outside. New canna bulbs need to be in dirt as they are already sprouting. Etc, etc, etc. Do I dare to plant the tomatoes in the planters? I am thinking yes but that Do Not Plant Until After Mother's Day thing is ringing in my head. Better safe than sorry I suppose.
No set plans, going to play it by ear today.

DGS scout ceremony (he bridged to boy scout) was very moving. So proud of DD helping Mikey accomplish this as a single mom.
Quite day although I expect the contractor to start working in the doors. More puppy training. Think a taco bake would be easy for DGS to eat. Poor kid, takes him a long time to eat.

I thought it was just my area but all of the surrounding subdivisions are talking about it on NextDoor (the app). I have been here 17 years now and never even heard of these things let alone seen them. Ewwwwwwwwww 🤣 lmenglish oh no your poor DGS! I hope they can save his tooth Linda. Glad the ceremony went well. ❤️ fullmahina yay for DH completing the cardiac rehab! zazzles best of luck today, hope you have a smooth start and kitty handles the noise well. We'd see one about once a year growing up but, that was enough. And wow are they fast! Eww! lmenglish, congrats to DGS becoming a Boy Scout. Adding my hopes for a good dental outcome for him. fullmahina, I'm laughing because my elephant ears are also sprouting before being put into the ground. Hope your geraniums do well for you. Good morning. I’m in. Slept in a bit late this morning. Funny that Missy isn’t waking me up in this new environment. Breakfast is out of the way: Banana-Walnut bread from the freezer with yogurt and coffee. DebDoesWW , thanks for the idea; I’ll leave the TV on playing music from Sirius/XM. That is what I usually have it doing; then neither of us will have to listen to the massive amount of mindless advertisements with pounding bass soundtracks. I’ll be off to meet up with my WW friends in a while, then home to wait for the demolition team. KOKO |

Fullmahina - I'm waiting until the 18th when the nights will be consistently above 50 for my heat seekers. My dad always said after the last full moon in May.

Demolition crew was ready to go at 3 PM.
Unfortunately they didn’t seem to know that they were to demolish the dropped ceiling (soffit) that covers 2/3 of the kitchen, the built-in bookcase betweeen the kitchen and the family room, and seemed to forget that I told them they were to remove the ramp from the kitchen to the family room.
Oh well. They were out of time and guess they’ll have to come back to finish the demolition.
Tomorrow I’ll know whether the start of electrical/plumbing will be delayed because of this.
No sweat. It’ll get done sooner rather than later.

Have people (contractors) stopped taking notes? Why on Earth does no one carry a pen and paper and actually write things the heck down. Storm doors put on the wrong doors, locks not put on the right doors, wrong doors period and that was just the door issues. And why the heck when people are getting paid to do a freaking job are they not there overseeing the job themselves! At least I didn't have to deal with the demolition part 🤣 My BP rose for you just reading this zazzles. Hugs. |
