Blessing to all the nurturing women in our lives!
πΏπ·πΏπ·πΏπ·πΏπ·πΏ
I'm IN.
It's cold and rainy here at Woodloch - the weather for which we were prepared that the whole weekend would be. But we had two fabulous spring days first, so this is OK.
We'll head home after the mid-day Mother's Day buffet.
I'm sipping in-room coffee... βββ... and saying my prayers watching the rain fall on the lake.
πΏπ·πΏπ·πΏπ·πΏπ·πΏ Have a healthy-eating day, all! πΏπ·πΏπ·πΏπ·πΏπ·πΏ

Happy mothers day to all. It's suppose to be hot and rainy this afternoon. DD and DSIL are smoking a brisket and serving point friendly sides for me!

I'm sipping in-room coffee... βββ... and saying my prayers watching the rain fall on the lake. My kind of Mother's Day! Enjoy the peace, MJ. Good morning all! Heavy rains and chilly this morning---42 degrees with a wind chill of 38. I brought the tomatoes in yesterday and snugged up the chicken coop for the overnight chilliness and it will be worse tonight. Rain and cool temps until Wednesday, when we finally see sun and temps in the 60's. Not much we can do about it but my gardening plans are definitely on hold until then. Had a lovely lunch with DD yesterday and so glad we decided to do that instead of doing a Mother's Day thing at home like we usually do. No more shopping, cooking, cleaning on Mother's Day for us! From the looks of the restaurant, packed with families and lots of Moms, plenty of people had the same idea. It will become a yearly tradition for DD and me! I've never been a fan of going out to eat on the actual day of a holiday so this worked out beautifully. Sitting here, drinking coffee, looking out my window. A Great Blue Heron just flew by...they always remind me of pterodactyls. Wishing all a lovely Mother's Day, despite any less-than-lovely weather they may have.

Happy Mothers Day to everyone.
Sunshine is out here after cloudy overcast burned off.
I woke up at 4 and read for an hour then slept until 7. Missy tried to rouse me but I refused to ackowledge her and she finally gave up.
Not sure what the day holds. Thereβs nothing on the plan but I think I need to get out for a while.
Have a great day!

Good morning all! Yesterday, DD and I bought each other new earrings at Kendra Scott and I also bought her a matching necklace for her birthday this month. DSIL and the grands prepared a great feast for dinner last night. We had seafood salsa (salsa with lots of shrimp, crawfish, crab and avocado) served with chips, large seafood stuffed mushrooms, caprese salad and strawberry shortcake. Oh, and wine! After dinner, we played Farkle and everyone laughed and had a great time. It was a perfect day!
Today is more quiet but I'm enjoying my coffee and the semi sunny day with temps in the 70s. DH and I picked up new glasses at Costco and mine were perfect but they had to redo DH's as the bifocal line was too high on his lens. He'll get them back later this week. We're having pizza and a salad for dinner so no cooking for me!
Hope everyone has a peaceful day.

Heavy rains and chilly the next few days. At least yesterday was perfect. I'm finally dry after the gym, food shopping and errands in pouring rain and don't plan to leave again today. My handyman rescheduled the fence removal. Next week is fine. I have been procrastinating on this for nearly 2 years. Another week won't matter.

Happy Mother's Day! We took my mother to First Watch & had breakfast. I had my favorite (Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with lemon curd). Spent the rest of the day relaxing.

Sunshine and blue skies today. More changes in the day as bil is ready to celebrate his birthday, so my sister is picking up food and weβre gathering at their house. Now Iβm watching some basketball. Sounds like everyone has a good day planned.

diva49, Thank you for the wonderful title for today's board. I normally stay away from everything on Mother's day. I'm not a mom -I'm Ok with that but society does not seem to me. I have an abusive mom so there really isn't much to celebrate there. But I do feel I nurture many children. I get to see several of my kiddos graduate this year, I have prom pictures of one of my first girls and my niece turned 9 this year. So my life is full of children even if my belly wasn't So I greatly appreciate your acknowledgement of that.

It just seemed to be the right turn of phrase... for what should truly be honored...
