LaDonna Pbbbbt..... to the scale when it fluctuates upward when you nix brownies. Love that you know that your choices speak louder than the blip. Great job not letting it mess w/ your head.
Even to me, it is unbelievable that he is back at work. But he was supposed to go to work and be largely inactive. Seems like he did follow orders, probably not closely as I would have tried to impose upon him. R must have been a good boy. He did not even take an Extra Strength Tylenol tonight. What will happen when the stitches are removed & binding is off, who knows?
Susi Good to hear that the "wild ones" are doing well.
Becky When will your new bike arrive? Hope that it will work well for you!

Had a great Monday evening walk and was OP all day - Tuesday will be more of the same. I'm craving a salad so that will be my dinner Tuesday night hopefully along with some protein. Maybe Salmon. Randy asked for some Salmon patties so I'll make him some of those and I'll grill mine. June, R being a good boy and your good care sounds like a good healing mix Hopefully the stitches wont be too upsetting.

June Yea for R not even needing Extra strength Tylenol tonight.I hope that means he did only what he was supposed to do at work.My bike is supposed to be delivered by tomorrow evening but first we will have to move this big bike out of here and then try to put the new one together. It may take several days for all of that to happen depending on our weather this week. It's a smaller bike so it shouldn't take up as much room.
LaDonna I'm glad you enjoyed your evening walk.Yea to being OP.
I walked 40 min this morning plus the shopping in HEB and WM and my legs weren't feeling all that great so doing 30 min on the old recumbent bike really didn't feel as bad probably because it doesn't burn as many calories as it used to.
Tuesday goals:Willing to be aware, track everything ,hydrate and either get a walk in or recumbent bike or one of each.I'm flexible tomorrow.
Prayers for a speedy recovery for Bee.

I found the BIG book of recipes, information, copied CORE and SF information from both programs...even a simple start one week section filled with recipe ideas. It is sitting with two other WW cookbooks (Vegetables and the other Turnaround) that have great ideas. I haven't been to the grocery store or produce market but did make it through yesterday and saw a drop on the scale this morning...I also double tracked on MFP.
There are some differences between the two programs. Need to see if I can find those variations and am pretty sure I can. Either version has eating till "satisfied" (not stuffed) and the foods are: fresh vegetables and fruits (or canned without sugar), most lean meats, legumes, whole grains, nonfat dairy and then some other things like seasonings and such. Core allowed avocados but limited brown rice, potato or whole wheat pasta to one meal a day. SFT allowed high fiber bread and eliminated avocados as well as the once a day rule...there may be more
Today I will:
* Stay OP with Core/SFT * Record every BLT * Stay positive * Hydrate * Cooking white beans for meals this week (waiting for them to be done)
PERSONALS:
DIVA: How much time do you spend ferrying family members around in your taxi?
ANN: I came back from one vacation of about a month and had gained ten pounds overindulging. The first month home I embraced CORE and followed it religiously. I dropped ten pounds that month but then went to points counting and that was that.
JUNE: I have found a way that works for reviewing. I have a book-format-agenda-diary that I record the books in by publication date. I keep a spiral notebook that I fill with each book recording title, author, series #, publisher, where it came from and then 1-5 score and notes taken. Then, everything is on the computer so not that much mess but it does spread out on the end of the dining room table or on the coffee tables in the room I sit to read. My daughter just finished the semester at Mizzou and is tying ends up to come see us in less than a month.
SUSI: Thank you for the link. I have that very page printed out and tucked into a plastic sleeve in the CORE/SFT notebook I found in the basement Your meal prep of mushrooms sounds yummy! I haven't heard of Good Witch. I haven't watched TV for perhaps a decade. We gave up cable service and though we have a TV no reception. I might watch a movie or series if someone lends it to me BUT rarely if ever since I read so much How do you make light ranch dressing?
LADONNA: Weeklies on Core are dependent on which version you are following. I think the original allowed 35 per week (five per day) and you could save up those unused to spend in one day if you wanted to. I never was as hungry on CORE/SFT as I was with points counting and am not sure why. I think it probably has to do with the whole/complete foods eaten and perhaps the mental fact that you only track your dailies.
BECKY: Susi posted a link to the list of Core foods yesterday...if you are curious. I know that it is not for all but it does work for some and did work for me the month I gave it a try. Fingers crossed it will again this time. I have an air walker and ellliptical machine along with weights in the basement...really should go down and use them!
PAM: Envy you the visit with your sisters!
OKAY...another OP day is in my future and I plan to call or message the woman in charge of the menu for tomorrow to see what she plans to serve then make sure I am OP tomorrow, too

Thinking of Bee j and Audrey. 🦋
LaDonna Super job! LOL. . . I also was thinking of salmon burgers, but zip bought a box from Sam's Club.
Becky Hope that switching out your r bikes is easier than you anticipate! That would be a most pleasant surprise. Hope that your legs trouble you less today.
Susi Have a great workout. Ha ha ha... "in the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight".
Cathy Wishing you a great start on CORE/SF. Tapping into what works for you and an "I CAN" memory sounds like a winning combo. Great system for being organized w/ your book reviews.

Good morning all. I slept okay...still not up to snuff but feeling a tad better. I'll take it. Today I do have errands to run, but we'll see whether or not I'll accompany Carl. So happy that R is doing so well, June. That is amazing that he is back at work and needs nothing for pain management. You and the surgeon did a fantastic job Becky good luck on the bike. I hope it works out well for you. Susi LOL to Jack getting his lion hair cut. LaDonna yeah to being OP. Glad that the brownie situation didn't mess with you thinking. MJ enjoy your day and hope it's not too hectic. Pam you are still in my prayers re: your loss. Cathy I do remember the turnaround cookbook. I think I donated that with another pile of the to our local library's book sale. Sounds like you are off and running with a good start. Waving to Bee and Audrey and anyone else I may have missed. Today will also be a KOKO day for me. It poured buckets last night with high winds. Right now Mother Nature is sleeping LOL.

Mj <waving back>.
Ann Good to hear that you are feeling well enough to be considering a day out and about.
R is doing so well; I almost wish that he was not. I worry that he will be forgetful. But I can not babysit him 24/7. Tomorrow is his post-op visit. We will see what we will see.

June - I can't believe how quickly R is recovering. He has to be an active participant in his recovery. You can't do it all for him. Sounds like he is doing his part. Wish I had a tub big enough to soak in. That was supposed to be Tony's next project but he did the tiki bar instead. So I can't complain. LaDonna - Looks like you had a good day and are planning another. I'm going for arctic char which is very similar to salmon. Becky - Hope it doesn't take too look to set up your new bike. Just be careful and don't over do it with your legs. Cathy - I did SFT with great success for several years before portion distortion took over. I double track on MFP because I find the points disconnect too great to follow Freestyle completely. My ranch dressing is 1 pkg Hidden Valley ranch mix (or any ranch mix), 1 cup ff buttermilk, 1/2 cup ff Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup canola or reduced calorie mayo. Blend and chill. If you don't have the mix available you can add garlic, salt, parsley, dill, chives and black pepper. Based on the specific ingredients I use, the NI for 2 tbs. is 35 cal, fat 2, carb 3, sugar 1, grotein 1, sodium 205. If you can't find ff buttermilk, you can make your own substitute with 1 cup ff milk, 1-2 tbs. either lemon juice or white vinegar. Let stand for 10 minutes. Hi MJ - Hope your day isn't too crazy. Ann - Sorry you still aren't up to snuff. Hope you feel better as the day goes on. Bee - Hope your recovery is going well Handyman is supposed to come after work to take down one damaged fence and either fix or replace the gate on another. Also remove the carp that is behind the fence that I have ignored since Tony died. It's time. Now I just need the weather to cooperate. I just got the call that Jack is ready so I will go get him and then head to work.

Ann Thx! I appreciate the prayers and good wishes for R.
Susi LOL . . . Sounds like many of us are thinking about something "fishy" for dinner. Fingers crossed that your handyman comes & the weather holds. Sometimes tasks linger. Who can say why we put them off... Exactly, Susi, exactly.
