WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C97D17, 21 points, 2 rollovers, 7 water, 1289 calories
Lots of running around today on errands but no real exercise. Table tennis was cancelled. That was two in a row. Starting tomorrow back in business with all the activities. Hopefully the weather will cooperate as well.

27 points 1867 calories 28 APs
Those numbers include a large chocolate covered strawberry. My Tuesday/Thursday client gave me a box from my favorite local chocolate business for Mother’s Day. They’ve actually added the nutritionals on the box, so I didn’t need to isolate or estimate. Before I realized I had the nutritionals, I did a search in the app for the calories and points, and the numbers were all over the map. I was afraid that isolating would lead to eating more than one. As it turns out, as is so often the case, one piece really isn’t that bad. Only 100 calories and 5 points.
Nancy, I felt great all day yesterday, but slept like a rock and am struggling to wake up this morning. I hope your weather changes today. The weather was beautiful here by 4:00 yesterday afternoon.
Lori, way to go with your eating since the buffet. I love seeing our progress!
Kathy, I agree with Nancy. Checking in here daily has been a game changer for me. Even when I blow it, stopping here grounds me and I get back on track much more quickly. Safe travels.

Yesterday went very well! I enjoyed my mug cake while DH enjoyed his cheesecake and no leftovers!!!
This morning I did my strength training and Pilates - took about 45 minutes total.... It does look like today is going to be a nice day, miss my walking...
Jan, love that they had the nutritional info on box, it does help with deciding if it's worth it or not. Chocolate covered strawberries are great since you really only have to count the chocolate. Texas menus had all the calorie counts which helped me make good decisions.
Nancy, I hope you get to enjoy the nice weather today!
