Good morning.
Headed outside early to continue gardening chores while the good weather lasts. Tomorrow it will be rainy again.
Yesterday I refreshed the deck planters and put the tomato plants in. I rip off all the bottom growth and bury the plants, leaving only a top frond and a few side branches. My great big tomato seedlings are now only little guys but nice roots will grow out of the buried portions and make a much healthier adult plant. They already have flowers and little bead tomatoes---hoping for an early crop!
Transplanted Montauk Daisy plants from the front garden to my little beds in front of the shed, planted the shed flower boxes with pink trailing petunias. Planted canna in whiskey barrel planters and did some more weeding and bed prep.
Today will be placement of perennials in the front bed and final removal of spent daffodil flowers, spreading mulch, planting the deck rail planters, and whatever else I see that needs to be done. DH is continuing with the deck lattice and I help whenever he yells for help, lol. I'm hoping to get all the garden chores done by this weekend---next week is the big Spring Cleaning of the Coop and Run, always a fun time! I need a very sunny day for that as all coop components are removed, scrubbed, and dried in the sun.
Right now it is coffee time and I think I am going to need all I can get.
KOKO.

Good morning. I'm IN! Drinking coffee and planning my day. I've already walked; I think I may try Yoga again at the Y. Shrimp for dinner.

Morning all and thank you for the start diva49. I am in. Sounds like I am partially copying lmenglish's day with hair color and an Aldis run I ran in for a trim yesterday and instead had her whack it into a stacked in the back and choppy in front kinda thing. 🤣 zazzles please take care of your back! Have a great day everyone! 🦋💇♀️😜

I'm in. Morning all!
The sun's up after unexpected rain showers last night. I managed to get the big urns on the cement surround potted up with pink geraniums and creeping Jenny. Hopefully today, we'll get to the front porch planters mixing dragon wing begonias and sweet potato ivy. A few years back, we started using composite pots. Even the largest are very lightweight. Using a tip from a gardening show, we filled the bottom third of all the big planters with styrofoam packing peanuts, which we already had. They can be reused year after year making for much lighter planters and saving on potting soil. The grass here is crazy long from all the rain but, it has to dry out a bit before our guy will cut it. I think we're behind on nearly everything lol. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...
Enjoy the day!

Good morning MJ, Linda, Fullmahine, Linda, Deb and Doordie Fullmahina - That's how I plant my tomatoes as well. Hoping the weather will hold on Sunday for planting. I also have Montauk daisies. Doordie - I do that as well although I do a lot less planters than I used to. I'm in, planned and tracked and loving the sunshine!

Good morning. I’m in. I slept until after 6 so I’m a bit behind normal schedule…however, nothing is planned for the day so it matters not. All of the wall prep in the kitchen was completed yesterday; the crew will be absent today to provide sufficient time for the mudding to dry. Tomorrow they plan to prime the walls. Painting and cabinet installation will take place next week. We’re getting there. zazzles please take care of your back! The back is a lot better than on Monday but still giving me twinges when I move. The assistant resident chef at the Sur La Table store not only send me the recipes from yesterday’s missed class, he also cancelled my enrollment and issued a refund. While not necessary that was awfully nice and very much appreciated.
The rain storm last night was heavy; I couldn’t see it but I sure heard it. Right now it is dry and the weather people are saying light showers on and off. That’s it. Everyone have a great day. KOKO

I think I have garden envy! Everyone's flowers and plants sound wonderful. I have a brown thumb instead of a green thumb. Truth be told I'm probably just too lazy to put in all that work I just had an IEP meeting, one more tomorrow, then a different meeting next week. All of this with 11 days to go. Then there is the progress reports, end of year attendance, secretaries reports and various other things that need done before we lock the door on June 3rd. Then everyone wonders why I just sleep the first week out of school

I’m in. Today’s plan is in flux. Dd and I are heading over to mom’s. We were supposed to go to lunch with some of her friends. She can’t put weight on her knee, so she’s staying home today. Meals will be planned and tracked. I’m choosing to be healthy and to keep smiling. Take care everyone.
