Judy it's so hard when it's sudden. Marie's was sudden as well.
The dentist send my partial back to the lab as he didn't want to do any more adjustments and compromise the strength. When it comes in they will call.
Lol Sue you are correct it's a rotisserie chicken.
Sleep well all.

Good morning all. No sunshine but the weather is 'holding' with no rain either. I'll take it. If it doesn't rain, we are going to make a BJ's Club run today. Hopefully that will happen as I need to stock up.
Wishing AWF a pleasant and OP day. Will CBL

Hi Ann and AWF,
No rain, but still too chilly for my liking. I am glad your partial is getting all fixed up. I am sure you are anxious to get it fitted comfortably so this part can be over.
Well, the yakkers at the town meeting gabbed away last night and spent two hours on two articles. I was wiped out and left a little after 10 PM. Needless to say, we did not finish the town meeting. We have another night tonight. I'll go and hope it ends early.
I brought a Trader Joe's Chinese salad for lunch. It is only a few pts. :-)
Did I tell you that I decided to subscribe to Blue Apron WW for a bit? We have tried a few food delivery subscriptions and we liked Blue Apron the best. I used an $80 off coupon so will let you all know how we like it. At least 3 dinners a week will be planned. That'll make life a bit easier! I was interrupted halfway through this and hit send by mistake.
I hope everyone has a wonderful memorial day weekend. We have no big plans except to go to the Cape. These are the times I miss family and parents, etc. I sure wish our kids were closer. We'll have fun and relaxation anyhow. I do think about all that I need to do at home and could really use the time, but DH loves to be at the Cape. Stuff will have to wait!

Judy good luck with Blue Apron. A few of the gals at my old meeting did that and loved it. Glad you scored a good coupon.
Today's weather was strange. I took a short walk with a light sweater and umbrella.
Sleep well alk.

Hi!
Worked my rear end off today, cleaning and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms and doing laundry. I am in good shape for company. I still need to pass a dust cloth in the guest rooms, but the floors are done.
Tomorrow I will go to Mass at 7:00 and then head into town to do a little hospice work to cover for my supervisor, who is in Texas for her DGS's high school graduation. Then it's back to church to sing at the funeral of a neighbor. I will skip the bereavement dinner as there will be too many tempting desserts. I did well yesterday. Lunch was a turkey sandwich from Jimmy John's. I halved it and put all the turkey, lettuce and tomato on one half. It was juicy enough with the veggies that I didn't need mayo, so skipped that and the 400 calorie cookie. I did eat the bag of baked chips, though. At dinner, I had 1/2 of a pasta dish with spinach, crawfish and eggplant with a creamy sauce and a sensation salad on the side. The waitress served half our table, went back for the other entrees and dropped the entire tray. Those of us waiting while new meals were cooked urged the others to eat while their food was hot. The poor waitress was SO upset over dropping the tray and came back to apologize several times. Everyone was calm and reassured her that these types of things happen sometimes and it is not a world-altering disaster. The debacle resulted in free desserts for the table, but I PASSED! MAJOR NSV for me!!! I had the other half of my entree for lunch today. I was so busy cleaning, I didn't do a lot of snacking today. That tells me if I keep busy, I won't eat as much. When I get bored, I tend to snack.
We have finished dinner and the dishes and put music on the tv. I finished an audio book yesterday and will try to finish my other book tonight. Sweet dreams!

Good morning all. Wow, Pam that was a lot of cleaning in one day. Enjoy your company. Brava for passing on the desserts Maybe I need to get 'busier' to avoid the snacking LOL. Last night we had a horrible rain thunder and lightening storm. Our lights flickers but TG they did NOT go off! Today so far it's sunny out there. Not sure what's on our agenda for today. I do have some household chores to accomplish and need to pick up a few things at WalMart. Other than that I shall remain OFF the roads during the holiday weekend! Just in town traveling is all. Wishing all a pleasant and OP Friday!

Hi All,
Happy Memorial weekend. It came up fast on us, didn't it?
Wow, Pam, your cleaning is impressive. Your house must feel so great and you are very ready for the family to arrive. That feels SO good, doesn't it? Now they can mess it up. Ha ha! At least that is how it is with my kiddos. They keep their own homes much neater than mine. :-) But I don't really care, and I don't mind if they don't make their beds, etc. while they are here. I just want them to have fun and they always do pitch in with meals and other chores. You really did earn a good dinner after all that work and I'm with you. When I am really occupied, I snack less. Boredom is my downfall. That poor waitress!! Having been a waitress during college years and having done similar things (I once dumped a whole Chocolate shake on a customer!!), I really feel her pain. She's probably very grateful that you were all nice and put things in perspective. LIke you said, it's ONE meal. No need to berate someone, but it happens. Good NSV for you to say no to dessert. I had a good day until I ran into a bag of peanut M&Ms. Someone handed them to me at work and that was the end of them. Snack bag, but still....they are another downfall!
Ann, I'm glad you will be tucked in at home during holiday traffic. I sort of wish I were you, but we'll set off in the morning. Usually, it is not too bad over memorial weekend since school is still in session and the beaches are not really warm enough. I want to do some weeding to get a room ready for DS and DDIL who will arrive for a wedding in two weeks. I have to plan ahead since I have no real time during the week. I have started to get up early and do a few things before work, but I am just getting too darn old for too many events in one day! Today I did clean the kitchen floor, run the dishwasher, toss in some laundry and pay a few bills. That was a lot between 6-7:30 for me. Sleep is the price I pay to get things done.
I finished all three episodes of Mrs. Wilson on Amazon Prime. Wow, what a story and all true! I recommend it. It is the story of the lead actress's grandmother.
I'm also listening to Gretchen Rubin podcasts again- the Happiness Podcasts. They are so good and motivating, too. She has a new book called Outer Order, Inner Calm. So true!
Sue, I hope your DH is doing well and that you have a great weekend, too. I'll be in touch over the weekend.

Good Evening WW friends ~
I have not posted since Wednesday. I went to WW with VBF and lost 1.5# so was very happy! We had each admired the other's new car, then adjourned to Starbuck's where we got lemonade/iced tea drinks. No sooner had we sat down and started chatting when my phone rang and my DH said in a terrible voice "I'm not doing so good". I had just talked to him earlier in the afternoon and he was fine! I rushed home and picked him up and we went to our nearby hospital. We spent about 6 hours in the ER with him in terrible pain; then finally got admitted to the hospital about midnight. Then all the admitting and paperwork (geez!). I spent the night there with him during which neither one of us slept a wink. Thursday we waited and waited for them to take him to the Cath Lab and finally he sent me home to clean up and then when they came for him, he made them wait as I was almost back there.
Diagnosis was that he suffered a heart attack, had a heart cath resulting in 2 new stents. Then he was admitted to the Cardiac Step-Down floor where he still is. In the past when he had a cath, he got to come home the next day, but this one is dragging out at the post end as slowly as at the beginning. Tomorrow again we try to get him discharged. Now they are just waiting for his INR to return to normal as well as his heart rate. He did get up and walk some today, which was a great accomplishment. We walked mid afternoon, and again before I left him (around 7 p.m.). So far so good, but he is understandably discouraged. We're working on that :-).
I am now officially behind on everything! But all that matters is getting to the hospital to be with him. I have been doing well with eating (including the day we ate nothing at all). I have my breakfast and lunch ready to put in my lunch bag in the morning to go join him. Then we can walk, and hope someone says "go home now". That would delight me to no end!!
Wishing all a very wonderful Holiday weekend!!

Sue, I am holding you and your DH in my thoughts and prayers. You must be so exhausted and what an ordeal you both have endured with his heart attack. I am so very sorry he had to wait so long in terrible pain for answers. That’s just awful. So hard on you too. I hope he is doing better without too much heart damage. I wonder if that indigestion was a warning sign. Poor guy. Your DH is so very active and I hope he is home soon and back to full good health soon. Phew! Glad he’s done with the stents. I’ll be thinking of you all weekend, and please keep in touch with updates. Hang in there. Hugs. Hope you are both home resting soon. And don’t worry about feeling behind in a darn thing. None of that matters one whit! Your DH is so lucky to have such a wonderful wife as you!!

Sue- I am glad your DH was able to get care right away. How scary!!! Hopefully, he will be discharged soon. No one can really rest in a hospital. I am sure you are aware that for some reason, heart attacks/heart surgeries are often accompanied by depression. I think part of it is caused by the beta blockers they are often prescribed, but surely some of it is facing one's own mortality. You will be a steadying force for him as well as a reason to keep fighting to get better. I am praying for strength, healing and comfort for both of you. Remember to take care of yourself, too.
Congratulations on and awesome weight loss, even if you didn't get to bask in the feeling for very long.
I had a busy day with Mass, more housework, funeral Mass and then hospice and grocery shopping and more housework. DH and I got invited to go with a group to a casino about 45 miles from here for a seafood buffet dinner tonight. I was tired, but we decided to go because we have missed the last 2-3 times we were invited. We had a really good time. We rode with another couple and chatted all the way there and back. Dinner was good and afterwards, we had a drink in the bar and watched some of the LSU baseball game (they won!) before heading home. DH has gone to bed and I will follow shortly.

Good morning all. Pam so happy to hear that you went to the seafood buffet and had a nice time. Sometimes it just works that way and it's great even though you were tired.
Today I shall go and visit my elderly friend that lives here. I bumped into her yesterday and she invited me over. While I'm there, I'm sure Carl will find something 'entertaining' to do LOL.
Wishing AWF a wonderful and OP day.

Hi all, Happy Memorial Day weekend. It’s sunny today and in the 60s. We are at the Cape and DH is outside mowing. He thought the yard was a “disgrace” - lol. He’s a gardener and likes it to always look nice. We’ve had so much rain that it’s really grown. All the summer folks are here getting ready this weekend so I am sure we’ll see some neighbors.
Sue, we’ve been thinking of you and your sweet DH all night since we heard about his episode. I got to thinking that sometimes calling 911 gets you right into care much faster than driving into the ER on your own. Our cardiologist and our GP both told us that if we get symptoms, get the ambulance. I’m sure you know this and I’m sorry for my two cents worth but sometimes it helps. When I had the heart blockage and issues and rode in the ambulance, it was like the red seas parting. I was ICU before I knew what hit me. I’m just so glad they were able to do the heart cath successfully and I’m holding you both in my thoughts and prayers.
Ann, hope you have a restful day. I’m proud to tell you that I have started knitting a three color baby blanket for the wee one and determined to finish it without any messups! I am a novice and my friends are great but I hate to always be bugging them for help!
Off to to get settled here. I’m doing laundry. Happily, there was not much traffic driving down today. Phew!
