Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere

Good morning all,
Another sunny morning, still very cool in the mornings but it does eventually warm up.
Ruth - I enjoyed sitting in the yard with my neighbor, her patio is very nice but I’m really not a yard sitting type. It gets pretty buggy here in the summer months and I’m just not a fan of bugs r humidity . Every once in a while we sit outside at my DBs but my favorite time is in the Fall when the fire pit is on.
I heard on the radio that Dress Barn will be closing stores this year. I hope not all of them, that’s my go to store for clothes. As a matter of fact I’m heading there before I go to work, they have a 50% off sale on 1 item and I found a pair of ankle jeans that I like.
Heading out for a walk, need to do that as often as I can to get ready for mt Chicago trip in July.
Dottie- we’re expecting thunderstorms on Thursday, supposed to be windy too. Not looking forward to that.
Enjoy your day.

Joyce, I heard that too about Dress Barn. One of the stores in my area closed several years ago and when I’m in the area of the other store I always stop in. Since I’m no longer working I don’t buy as much there as I used to, they seem to have more work clothes. We are lucky with bugs here. Most years they are not a problem.
Ruth, hope you had a good day with Mara yesterday. How is she feeling?
We are heading up to the lake in about an hour. Last year the fridge went the week after Labor Day and there was no sense in replacing it for the winter. Usually no one stays overnight there after Labor Day, too busy with kids and school activities. Our “window” for delivery is 10:30 to 2:30 – hope it is closer to 10:30. We did have quite a bit of more rain yesterday, more puddles in the back yard. No storms just rain. I hope the puddles dry up soon, we can’t get in the last 45 to 50 feet of the back yard due to how saturated the ground is.

Good morning all. Going to get on here right away so the day doesn’t get away from me. Long night with Mara. She was really crabby yesterday. If something didn’t go her way, she just threw a fit. Still not herself. And DS said DIL wasn’t giving her the tylenol like the NP said. By late afternoon I’d had enough, so I gave her the Tylenol. 15 min later and she’s like a different child. Back to her happy self. Heard her talking at 2:45 am. 3:45 she started fussing. So I went up and rocked her for a while. Put her down about 4:15. She was quiet for a while but began fussing again about 5:00. Armed with a diaper and the tylenol I headed back upstairs. Changed her, gave her tylenol, rocked her for about 15 minutes and put her back in bed. Heard her for a few minutes but I think she’s been quiet since. I’m tired this morning. I’m going to give her tylenol along with her amoxicillin for a day or two and try and keep her on an even keel. The NP said 5 days and I’m going back to that.
Did my exercises yesterday afternoon while she was napping. Didn’t get the 2nd ones done. Then we got in a little over a mile walk after dinner. Going to rain tonight so going to try and get in a walk this morning and maybe one late afternoon. And squeeze in exercises 2 times. And DH needs to mow. Most everyone else has mowed, but he hasn’t gotten to yet. And it needs it. The company that fertilizes it and does weed stuff has been here twice already. We are to get more rain tonight and there will go his chance tomorrow to mow.
Joy, DH keeps talking about building a big patio with a fire pit. But he doesn’t like to eat outdoors either and we get a lot of mosquitoes in the summer, so unless it’s a screened area, not sure how much we’d use it either. Not sure it would be worth the expense. I’d love a screened in porch or a 3 season porch.
Dottie, I heard last night on the news that ALL Dress Barnes are closing. I don’t shop there often anymore either, but I do like their clothes. Our only close one is in an outlet mall about 45 min north of us.
Dottie, have a safe trip up to the lake. Are you staying for a few days or just there for the delivery and then back home? How is DDIL doing? Hope she’s recovering nicely.
ok, I hear Mara talking so need to make her a cup of milk and get her up and her day going. Have a great day all. May check in later.

Update: Got our walk in. 1.8 miles. And Mara is still a crab off and on. Fed her lunch and she only ate part of hers. Then I made an egg salad sandwich and she mooched part of that and the cherries I had with it. One of her nicknames is Mooch!!!!
She’s down for a nap, I got the first of 2 loads of laundry started, and as soon as I have a cup of coffee, I’m going to start on my therapy exercises.
DS Carol has been hinting that she’d like more scarves to match her (mostly) pink chemo caps I’ve sent her. So I had her measure the one I made. And then I asked her for suggestions on size for next ones. Longer, shorter, narrower, etc. I didn’t think she’d want any wider. And I was right, she wants about half as wide and about 2-3” longer. But she wears the one I sent, so it’s good. I told her making scarves would be a good summer project. Easy to tote around or work on while sitting outside or in the car. Or watching tv in the evenings. Keep my hands busy!!! And I have a lot of different pink yarns so a good way to use them up.
