So, today was my 25th wedding anniversary. And, I was happy to wear my wedding dress out to dinner! DH and I got married in Las Vegas so I didn't have a traditional wedding dress. Soon after the wedding I couldn't wear the dress any more (I was up on the weight gain slope). I thought when I got to goal I would be able to wear it last year since I was a few pounds less than I was when I got married. But, no. Due to loose abdominal skin (pregnancy and weight loss) I couldn't quite zip it up. But, after my tummy tuck last summer I am now easily able to wear it. It gave me a lot of satisfaction to wear the dress again. Here it is today and 25 years ago.   |

congratulations! i am getting divorced but also had a vegas wedding back in 2008. like you, i did not wear a traditional wedding dress! mine was a short emerald green silk kimono style dress. i love it to pieces and look forward to wearing it again when i'm back at goal weight!
you looked beautiful then and you look beautiful today! your husband too!

Kitty- How wonderful! You are a beautiful bride-25 years ago and now.
I'm smaller now than when I was married 17 years ago, however I just don't have the courage to pull the dress out to see how it fits. It is a big conventional dress.
